A combination of the Auto Regressive model and the Candidates Area Shifting Technique is proposed to predict the demand for electrical loads. The results of the proposed method are compared with the ones of the hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization-Support Vector Regression and FCM Clustering Technique methods. The results show that the proposed method provides better performance than the other ones. Rojas","doi":"10.15866/irea.v9i5.19865","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.15866/irea.v9i5.19865","url":null,"abstract":"The cavitation phenomenon causes serious problems in centrifugal pumps, such as poor hydraulic performance and damage to the internal structure of the pump produced by material erosion. Additionally, cavitation induces vibrations and noises that do not occur under normal operating conditions. These changes can be used as a guide for the diagnosis of pumps. In this article, different criteria based on the acoustic signals emitted by a centrifugal pump are analyzed to identify its cavitation condition. For this, an experimental assessment, in which the pump operates in four different flow conditions, namely, 20 l/min, 40 l/min, 60 l/min, and 80 l/min, is performed. The detection of acoustic emissions has been carried out through a microphone located at a specific distance from the pump. The results have shown that the use of acoustic parameters such as Loudness, Crest factor, and Zero crossings calculated from the base sound signal, the derivative, and its log dt/dp value, allows the identification of three pump operation zones: one free of cavitation, the onset of cavitation and the fully developed cavitation condition. The study has concluded that acoustic emissions provide sufficient information to diagnose the presence of cavitation. E-Health is based on Wireless Healthcare Sensor Network (WHSN). The field of wireless communication has many security challenges. For this prospect, an authentication and session key agreement protocol for WHSN has been proposed in order to secure the transferred information over the wireless channels by WHSN. The proposed protocol has preserved privacy for the shared entities and has withstand the expected different types of electronic attacks (e.g. stolen smart card attack, replay attack, privileged insider attack and denial of service attack, etc.). The formal security analysis using BAN logic has claimed that the protocol is secure. However, considering its benefits in terms of data processing facilitation and high quality results, it has begun to be desirable also for transportation infrastructure design and management. In this framework, the introduction of new high efficiency equipment, based on advanced technology, for infrastructure survey and inventory, and the contemporary development of BIM applications are changing the perspective in the management of existing road infrastructures. In this paper, a study showing the application of BIM method for the implementation of an existing roadway starting from data collected through specific tools will be reported. As BIM software, Autodesk Civil 3D has been chosen, while detection surveys have been carried out through an Automatic Road ANalyzer (ARAN). In this context, the utilization of nano-scale Quantum dot Cellular Automata (QCA) technology provides power-efficient and high-performance implementations of digital systems relative to their CMOS counterparts. In this paper, three different 8-bit PUF designs are introduced and implemented based on QCA technology. The proposed designs are constructed using different arrangements of a proposed area-efficient random seed.  Simulation results show that the proposed structures surpass existing designs in terms of their structural cost, energy dissipation and latency while achieving adequate PUF performance metrics. The proposed designs have achieved up to 81%, 77% and 73% improvement in cell count, area and energy dissipation, respectively. It is dedicated to the use in the arid and desert climate. This prototype is composed by a pump, a reflective surface, a green house tube, and a condensation room. This simplicity has allowed it to be used by the small communities. In this work, the operation and the yield of this prototype are modeled as function of a three different solar power (1800 W/m2, 1600 W/m2and 1400 W/m2). A numerical code that has allowed understanding in which way the distiller work and its behavior under different weather conditions has been created. A comprehensive heat transfer mathematical model containing an energy balance for the different heat transfer happened between the several components of this distiller is implemented. This equation system will be solved by the numerical method (finite difference) and programmed by informatics tools (Fortran). With this code, it is possible to control the enters parameters of each distiller component. The results obtained show that the productivity of water distillate can attained until 20l/d. This quantity is linked to the solar power and the debit of water given by the pump.
