As such, programs are based on the competences that learners should acquire. One major source for these competences is the market. The aim of this study was to identify the translation competences needed by the Yemeni market. Drawing on recent literature, the researcher developed a questionnaire, and a total number of 50 professional translators – working in Sana’a – filled the questionnaire. It included 35 items distributed to five categories: bilingual competence, cultural competence, translation competence, instrumental competence, and strategic competence, in addition to psycho-physiological components of translators. Results revealed that all translation competences were important and needed by the market; none was marked as unimportant. Specifically, 21 of them were highly important. The highest degrees of importance were for basic skills without which translation tasks can never be done: language competence, bicultural competence, problem solving procedures, and use of dictionaries and information mining. This study aimed to identify the concept, names, importance and goals of the Fatwa and Shari'a Supervisory Board in Islamic banks as well as to assess its work in light of Shari'a and the Yemeni law; and to identify the components and functions of the Board and each component’s role in the control of Islamic banks transactions. To achieve these objectives, the inductive comparative method was used where possible. Results revealed that there are various definitions for the Fatwa and Shari'a Supervisory Board suggested by scholars, but there is no comprehensive definition. Many scholars and specialists have indicated that there should be no separation or difference between the Fatwa Boards and Shari'a Supervisory boards in Islamic banks. In reality, the job of Shari'a Boards revolves around two main roles: Fatwa and Shari'a Supervision. Yemeni Islamic Banks Law stipulates that each Islamic bank shall have a Shari'a Supervisory Board, the members of which should be qualified and their number is fixed. The law does not indicate the manner of members’ appointment but that should be defined in the statutes of the bank. It also provides for the establishment of a unit in the Central Bank to supervise the banks licensed under this law. The focus was on these types of organizational commitment: emotional, normative and continuity. The study adopted the descriptive method, and used a questionnaire to collect data. The population consisted of 250 employees who represent all administrative staff in the middle and executive management levels in the main office of the company in the capital city of Sana’a. A simple random sample of (152) participants was selected. 152 questionnaires were distributed but only 107 were returned. The study results revealed that there is a positive effect of applying internal marketing with all its dimensions on the organizational commitment of the company workers. The level of applying the internal marketing practice by the administrative leaders of the company is high, and the level of the organizational commitment of the employees of the company and its various types is also high. The study recommended that more attention should be given to the dimensions of internal marketing by the administrative leaders in the company. They are also recommended to implement policies and programs more effectively, as this would lead to more improvement in the organizational commitment by the employees. The analytical descriptive method was adopted. To collect the required data, the census survey was used and 70 questionnaires were distributed to all the internal auditors in the Islamic banks and the inspectors of the Central Bank of Yemen in Sana'a. Sixty-three questionnaires were collected and all were valid for analysis. The results of the study revealed that the professional skills had a significant impact on the implementation of corporate governance principles in the Yemeni Islamic banks. The results also showed that the Islamic banks apply to some extent the governance principles as well as the professional skills in the Islamic banks. The study recommended that it is important for the Islamic banks to implement the corporate governance principles and the internal audit function should be supervised directly by the boards of directors. The study also recommended that the internal audit staff should be involved in training courses, conferences, seminars related to internal auditing and corporate governance as well as the international standards of internal audit and corporate governance principles. Additionally, copies of the international internal audit standards and local and international banking legislations should be provided. This study sheds some light on the Arab language policy planning and its relation to the Arab identity. Using an analytical descriptive approach, the study aims at providing a clear picture of the status of Arab identity on the list of priorities of current language policies in the Arab World, which can be beneficial for scholars and decision makers. The study concluded with a number of findings, recommendations and suggestions. The most important of these is the existence of a serious contradiction between what exists and what should be on these policies. Moreover, there are a number of challenges that threaten identity from the inside. There is also a need to raise awareness of the importance of the Arabic language as a spoken identity, which warrants the effective involvement of language specialists in creating language policies, the establishment of Arabic as an identity formation and rooting language, the enactment of laws to protect the Arabic language, and the dedication to Arabize education. The problem of this study is that many people engage in the business of brokerage without realizing the requirements of the legal status they get into, and without understanding the rules of this issue in their minds. The study aimed to shed light on the requirements brokers should possess in order to acquire the capacity of a merchant as well as other matters pertaining to this issue. This issue was addressed within the framework of Yemeni and Egyptian legislations, supported by Fiqh opinions and judicial judgments where possible. The researcher used the descriptive, analytical and comparative method as per the research requirements. The study concluded that Yemeni Commercial Law (1991) considers brokerage a commercial business in all cases, regardless of the broker’s capacity or intention. Also, engaging and practicing the profession of brokerage independently by any person who has the commercial capacity would make the broker obtain the capacity of a merchant, whether be it commercial or civil brokerage. The focus of this paper is a minor issue of Al-Zubairi's poetry which was avoided by the poet himself, writers and critics. The main purpose of this paper is to cast light on one of Al-Zubairi's types of poetry which is the panegyric type, and to highlight an important aspect of Al-Zubairi's poetry which dates from a period that has not been studied, neither published in his complete works. After studying the poems under question, it was found out that they are not just panegyric type. They are rather symbolic representation used to uncover the truth the poet and his people suffered because of the person (ruler) praised in the poem. The study concluded that the poet was not praising, but he was in a state of steadfastness, defiance and determination. The panegyrics (paganisms) constituted two performative acts: The first is a direct performative act represented by the praise, whereas the other one is an implied act which also has two aspects. Aspect one was a call upon the Crown Prince to act properly; at the same time the poet provided him with the encouragement in both word and deed.
