Almost every Aircraft is delivered to the customer over the deadline date. The existence of waste is believed to be one of causing the late delivery. Based on observations of the 117th NC212i Aircraft assembly line, which is precisely at the fuselage assembly in the paneling group, six wastes are identified: waiting, transportation, overprocessing, inventory, and motion. Waste of overproduction does not occur because PTDI applies MTO (Make to Order) system. These 6 wastes are then processed using Waste Assessment Model (WAM). The ranking result is: first place is 25% for defects, second place is 23% for waiting, third place is 17% for motion, fourth place is 15% for inventory, fifth place is 13% for transportation, sixth place is 8% for overprocessing, and seventh place is 0% for overproduction. Three critical wastes based Pareto principle can be minimized, so the delay of aircraft delivery can be reduced.","PeriodicalId":53057,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sistem dan Manajemen Industri","volume":"4 1","pages":"61-71"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48818940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to reduce lead time by analyzing various activities that have value added, non value added, and necessary non value added. The research is conducted using lean manufacturing approaches on acrylic resin production processes. The analysis shows that the activity of delay and transportation is a contributor of waste that occurs in the production process of acrylic resins. Improvements by minimizing both activities in the are thining tank, reactor, and monomer tank can increase the efficiency of the production process. The improvement results show a decrease in lead time from 1298 minutes to 1075 minutes. This study demonstrates that lean manufacturing can improve the time process efficiency of 17.18%, which means the output ratio will increase by around 17.18% in a process.","PeriodicalId":53057,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sistem dan Manajemen Industri","volume":"4 1","pages":"50-60"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44757832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Iskandar Indah Printing Textile because they do not use work tools. The assessment of the level of work posture risk by the REBA method gets the result that the highest work element with a final score of 10 is obtained by taking warp yarn at the warping station. This study aims to produce a design tool to reduce the level of work posture risk in warping work station operators. Then the design of tools was carried out by the Pahl and Beitz method to produce three alternative product design concepts. Based on the three ideas, the best plan is chosen by using an Engineering Design Selection, and the result is the second design concept. The selected design is an adjustable trolley with a vertical screw drive system that is comfortable to use and does not cause a bending position on the operator because it has a trolley plate that can be adjusted in height as needed. The use of the trolley causes a decrease in the level of work posture risk from a high-risk level to a small risk level with a final score of 10 to 3.","PeriodicalId":53057,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sistem dan Manajemen Industri","volume":"4 1","pages":"30-40"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43773027","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Now, the long waiting time of job orders constitutes a deterministic production line problem in vehicle number plate production plants in Nigeria. Case studies were conducted on those plants, confidentially identified in this paper as A, B, C, and D. Delays caused by non-value-adding work processes are major culprits among other contributors to the long queues at these plants. The value stream mapping technique was applied to identify non-value adding activities before the production line was balanced using an effective cycle time model. The index cases to a balanced line, as shown in the results, are increases in process rate by 41 %, 59 %, 42 %, and 71 % for A, B, C, and D, respectively, and overall line efficiency. Next, the system capacities correspondingly increased with the elimination of wastages. These increments imply that bottleneck activities have been minimized, and we have a balanced production line. The devised solution procedure is reliable and recommended to other line manufacturing concerns that experience delays and bottleneck problems.","PeriodicalId":53057,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sistem dan Manajemen Industri","volume":"4 1","pages":"1-12"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49529191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sometimes, the delivery of product delays caused by the raw materials delays or didn't meet specifications. Selection optimal suppliers of raw materials are one of the solutions. There are two factors must be considered for the selection of suppliers, qualitative factors and quantitative factors. In this study, for qualitative factors, based on the criteria needed by PT GMT. This research produces three Linear Programming models, first: a qualitative objective function that will be maximized called the Total Value of Purchase (TVP). TVP is an integration of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Mix Integer Programming Integration. Second, the quantitative objective function for the procurement cost of raw materials, which is called the Total Cost of Purchase (TCP). The third is to optimize qualitative and quantitative simultaneously using the Goal Programming method. The selection of suppliers based on TVP the total value is 97.25, and the total procurement cost is Rp. 36,914,000, based on TCP, the total value is 89.14, and the total of procurement cost is IDR 31,356,000, while based on Goal Programming, the total value is 93.18, and the total of procurement cost is IDR 32,621,000.
