The percentage of live coral cover has so far been used to indicate the condition of coral reefs. This assessment method is easy to apply but has not been able to describe the value of the ecosystem for the benefit of loss or damage to coral reef ecosystems. Further analysis based on energy use for the delivery of ecosystem services is needed, which is called Emergy analysis. This study aims to determine the value of coral reef ecosystems in the Pulau Gili Matra Marine Protected Area, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara using Emergy analysis. Valuation of ecosystem services in the total emergy calculations is carried out by collecting data on live coral cover, biomass of zooxanthellae, reef fish and megabenthos in different management zones, i.e. core zone, utilization zone and fisheries zone. Meanwhile, energy supplies from outside the system, namely the sun and tides are also included in this total emergy calculation. The results show that the highest total emergy value is found in the core zone, 1.44E+15 sej/year while the lowest is in the fisheries zone, 2.94E+14 sej/year. Equalizing the value of the coral reef ecosystem with money, using the calculation of the Emergy to Money Ratio (EMR), the EMR value is 5.75E+07 sej per Rupiah (Rp). As a result, the value of the coral reef ecosystem is Rp 7.115.291/m2/year in the core zone and Rp 4.261.099/m2/year in the fishery zone. The value of a coral reef ecosystem can be determined from the condition of the coral reef which includes variables on live coral cover, biomass of zooxanthellae, reef fish and megabenthos.  Permasalahan utama dalam penilaian ekosistem terumbu karang adalah memilih metode yang tepat untuk menggambarkan potensi ekologinya. Persentase tutupan karang hidup sejauh ini digunakan untuk menunjukkan kondisi terumbu karang. Metode penilaian ini mudah untuk diterapkan tetapi belum mampu menggambarkan nilai ekosistem untuk kepentingan kerugian atau kerusakan ekosistem terumbu karang. Diperlukan analisis lanjutan berbasis penggunaan energi untuk menyediakan layanan ekosistem yang disebut analisis Emergy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai (value) ekosistem terumbu karang di Kawasan Konservasi Pulau Gili Matra, Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat menggunakan analisis Emergy. Penilaian layanan ekosistem berupa penghitungan total emergy dilakukan melalui pengumpulan data tutupan karang hidup, biomassa zooxanthella, ikan terumbu karang dan megabentos di zona pengelolaan yang berbeda, yaitu zona inti, pemanfaatan dan perikanan. Sedangkan pasokan energi dari luar sistem, yaitu matahari dan pasang surut juga disertakan dalam perhitungan total emergy ini. But with the increasing activity in coastal and marine areas it will increase heavy metal contaminants in these waters which are allegedly contaminating existing biota. Heavy metals are pollutants that can accumulate in marine life. This study aims to know the concentration of lead metals (Pb) and copper (Cu) on the catch of the coastal fishermen of Semarang and Tegal, Central Java. Analysis of Pb and Cu concentration in tissue organisms using ICPMS. The results of the analysis showed that Pb and Cu metals were found in biota such as white shrimp (P. merguensis), crab (P. pelagicus), coocle (A. inaequivalvalvis) and gastropods (H. ternatanus). The highest concentration of Pb in the four biota captured in Semarang (4.48-5.76 ppm) and Tegal (0.53-3,055 ppm). Whereas the highest Cu metal in the biota argued in the Tegal waters (0.16 - 0.197ppm) while in Semarang (0.03-0.177 ppm) Semarang. The highest concentration of Pb (3,055-5.58 ppm) is found in gastropods both in Semarang and Tegal.  Thus, the metal Cu (0.177-0.197 ppm) in gastropods from Tegal and Semarang. Gastropods accumulate the highest Pb and Cu metal in the two regions of the fishing ground.  Pesisir Semarang dan Tegal merupakan daerah fishing ground nelayan tradisional.  Namun dengan semakin meningkatnya aktifitas di wilayah pesisir dan laut tersebut akan meningkatkan kontaminan logam berat di perairan tersebut yang diduga akan mengkontaminasi biota yang ada.  Logam berat merupakan polutan yang dapat terakumulasi dalam biota laut.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi logam Timbal (Pb) dan Tembaga (Cu) pada Hasil Tangkapan Nelayan Pesisir Semarang dan Tegal Jawa Tengah.  Analisa konsentrasi Pb dan Cu dalam jaringan organisme menguunakan ICPMS.  Hasil analisa menunjukkan logam Pb dan Cu ditemukan dalam biota seperti udang putih (P. Under certain conditions waves can change the coastline, damage marine life, cause tidal flooding, affect coastal buildings and so on. With the energy that waves have, they can affect all human activities such as distribution, utilization of energy sources, utilization of marine biota sources, tourism business, and development of coastal areas. Based on the influence generated, information on wave characteristics is needed based on climate variability that affects local conditions. Climate variability that affects the waters of the Makassar Strait which has a high wave pattern that follows a monsoonal pattern is the El Niño  and La Niña phenomena. Using wind data and wave periods for 2013-2022 from Hindcasts-OFS BMKG, this study aims to determine the characteristics of high waves in the Makassar Strait during Normal, El Niño  and La Niña phenomena. BMKG-OFS is the third generation data model of wavewatch (WW III) and has a relatively low error value with a range of 0.27 - 0.36 against the observed value of the wave recorder data installed in the Makassar Strait. From the processing it is produced during the Asian Monsoon (December, January, February) and during the Australian monsoon (June, July, August). The characteristics of high waves in the northern and central parts of the Makassar Strait are more influenced by the La Niña phenomenon than El Niño . Characteristics of the wave height in the southern part of the Makassar Strait experienced an increase in wave height both during La Niña and El Niño  compared to normal.   Gelombang merupakan faktor penting dalam ilmu kelautan yang dapat memberikan dampak positif dan negatif pada kondisi alam yang mempengaruhinya. Pada kondisi tertentu gelombang dapat merubah garis pantai, merusak biota laut, menyebabkan banjir rob, mempengaruhi bangunan pesisir dan lain sebagainya. Dengan energi yang dimilikinya gelombang dapat mempengaruhi segala kegiatan manusia seperti distribusi, pemanfaatan sumber enrgi, pemanfaatan sumber biota laut, bisnis pariwisata, dan pembangunan wilayah pesisir. Berdasarkan pengaruh yang ditimbulkan maka diperlukan informasi karakeristik gelombang berdasarkan varibilitas iklim yang mempengaruhi  kondisi lokalnya. Variabilitas Iklim yang mempengaruhi perairan Selat Makassar a yang memiliki pola tinggi gelombang yang mengikuti pola monsunal dalah fenomena El Niño  dan La Niña. The first steps to improve this fishery is to carry out stock assessment, the impact of fisheries on the environment, and effective management. This study aims to identify and categorize the species supporting the mackerel fishery in Fisheries Management Area (FMA) 712, especially those caught by purse seine vessels in IPPP Paiton, Probolinggo. This study found that there were two species of short mackerel, Rastrelliger branchysoma and R. kanagurta. There were 16 species interacting with this fishery, none of them were included in the Endangered, Threatened, and Protected (ETP) category based on the IUCN Redlist. These species are categorized into 2 groups, namely main secondary (5 species) and minor secondary (11 species), with the largest proportion being was goldstipe sardine. This information can be a start in the fisheries improvement program of short mackerel fishery in East Java. Future research related to the stocks, habitats and ecosystems of each species can be carried out to complete the information and support the formulation as well as implementation of fisheries improvement program of short mackerel fishery in East Java.  Ikan kembung merupakan salah satu jenis pelagis kecil yang menjadi prioritas dalam pengelolaan perikanan di Jawa Timur. Salah satu langkah awal untuk melakukan perbaikan perikanan ini adalah dengan melakukan penilaian terkait stok, dampak perikanan terhadap lingkungan, serta tata kelola atau pengelolaan yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengkategorisasi spesies pendukung perikanan kembung pada Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan (WPP) 712, khususnya yang ditangkap oleh kapal-kapal purse seine dari IPPP Paiton, Probolinggo. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa ikan kembung yang tertangkap terdiri dari kembung perempuan (R. branchysoma) dan kembung lelaki (R. kanagurta). Spesies pendukung atau yang berinteraksi dengan perikanan ini ditemukan sebanyak 16 spesies, dengan tidak ada spesies yang masuk dalam kategori Endangered, Threatened, and Protected (ETP) berdasarkan Redlist IUCN. Spesies pendukung ini dikategorikan kedalam 2 kelompok, yaitu sekunder utama (5 spesies) dan sekunder minor (11 spesies), dengan proporsi terbesar adalah ikan tembang. Informasi ini dapat menjadi awal dalam proses perbaikan perikanan kembung di Jawa Timur. Bullet Tuna has components that are good for the human body, such as protein, carbs, and minerals. However, because Bullet Tuna is classed as a carnivorous fish with the ability to contain endoparasites, it must be ensured that it is safe and healthy for consumers. The goal of this study was to determine the prevalence, intensity, and relationship between fish class length and the presence of endparasites infecting tuna in Bangka Island’s primary market. This research was conducted in March 2021 - July 2022. Pangkalpinang, Sungailiat, Koba, Toboali, and Muntok Main Markets on Bangka Island were all used to collect samples. The Parasite Testing Laboratory (LP-683-IDN) of the Fish Quarantine Station for Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products (SKIPM) Pangkalpinang tested the samples. Anisakis sp., Didymozoid sp., Lecithochirium sp., and Rhadinorhyncus sp. are four types of endoparasites found in Bullet Tuna (Auxis rochei) samples, according to the findings. With a prevalence rate of 45.67 percent, the number of infected samples from the total number of samples examined fell into the category of Very Frequent infection. In the moderate infection category, Rhadinorhyncus sp. Had the highest intensity. The fish with the highest endoparasites, 986 parasites, were in the class range with a size 21,46-23,03 cm.The presence of Bulet tuna infected with endoparasitic worms in this Main Market must be reported so that the public can be more vigilant in managing fish in a good and correct way.   Ikan Tongkol Lisong (Auxis rochei) termasuk ikan dengan harga yang ekonomis di kalangan masyarakat Bangka. Kandungan protein, karbohidrat dan mineral pada Ikan Tongkol Lisong merupakan nutrisi yang bermanfaat bagi tubuh manusia. Ikan Tongkol Lisong yang memiliki nilai gizi tinggi harus dipastikan aman dan sehat bagi konsumen, karena Ikan ini tergolong ikan karnivora yang berpotensi sebagai inang endoparasit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat prevalensi, intensitas dan korelasi panjang kelas ikan terhadap keberadaan endoparasit yang menginfeksi Ikan Tongkol di Pasar Induk Pulau Bangka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2021 - Juli 2022. Sampel diperoleh dari 5 Pasar Induk Pulau Bangka meliputi Pasar Induk Pangkalpinang, Sungailiat, Koba, Toboali dan Muntok. High quality feed can be well digested by shrimp so that it can improve the growth and do not leave plenty of residue. Mold is capable of producing cellulase which can be used to improve feed quality by shortening carbohydrate chains. This paper will discuss the application of endophytic molds to simplify cellulose in shrimp feed. Mold isolates were collected from mangrove ecosystems in North Sulawesi. The media used for culturing mold are potato dextrose agar (PDA) and potato dextrose broth (PDB). Fermentation test was conducted using the fungal isolates; Hypocreales sp. and Diaporthe stewartii and consortia and controls. Fermentation results were checked by TLC and Fehling's test to determine the composition of the compounds and the presence of reducing sugar either mono or di-saccharide. Fermented shrimp feed shows differences in texture and color. Fermented feed extract with Hypocreales sp. 2.69 g (3.36%), Diaporthe stewartii 4.9 g (6.13%), and consortium 3.75 g (4.69%). TLC results neither under UV light nor visualization of vanillin sulfate did not show any differences of compounds in the control and the fermented feed. The results of the Fehling test showed that the mold was able to degrade cellulose that can be utilized to increase the shirmp feed quality.   Kualitas pakan merupakan faktor yang sangat berpengaruh dalam budidaya udang karena akan mempengaruhi pertyumbuhan udang, kualitas air bahkan timbulnya bakteri pathogen. Pakan yang baik mudah dicerna oleh udang sehingga dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan secara maksimal dan tidak terlalu banyak meninggalkan residu. Kapang mampu memproduksi selulase yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pakan dengan memperpendek rantai karbohidrat. Tulisan ini akan membahas aplikasi kapang endofit untuk menyederhanakan selulosa pada pakan udang. Isolat kapang dikoleksi dari ekosistem mangrove di Sulaweri Utara. Media yang digunakan untuk mengkultur kapang adalah potato dextrose agar (PDA) dan potato dextrose broth (PDB). Uji fermentasi dengan kapang  Hypocreales sp. dan Diaporthe stewartii dan konsorsium serta kontrol. Hasil fermentasi dicek dengan TLC dan uji Fehling untuk mengetahui komposisi senyawa dan keberadaan mono-karbohidrat.  Pakan udang yang difermentasi menunjukkan perbedaan tekstur dan warna. Ekstrak pakan fermentasi dengan Hypocreales sp. sebesar 2,69 g (3,36%), Diaporthe stewartii sebesar 4,9 g (6,13%), dan konsorsium sebesar 3,75 g (4,69%). Hasil TLC dan visualisasi vanillin sulfat tidak menunjukkan perbedaan jenis senyawa pada pakan kontrol dan pakan terfermentasi. Data collection usied random plot size I x m2, which applied at six stations determined by Purposive Sampling Method. Species Identification based on morphological characteristics and some other identification references. Data analysis including diversity, uniformity and dominance. The degree of similarity amongst station was analysed using Clustering by the Bray-Curtis method. Data analysis used the PAST 4.03. In this studi, 37 species of molluscs, consisting of the bivalve class (19 species) and the gastropod class (17 species) were identified. Bivalve Tellina (Quidnipagus) palate (Iredale, 1929) and GastropodsNassarius (Plicarcularia) leptospirus (A. Adams, 1852) were found at all six research stations. SpeciesCorbicula japonica (Prime, 1864). Uncertain Nerita (from the bush, 1844), Oualaniense Clithon (Lesson, 1831), Episcomitra cornicula (Linnaeus, 1758), Rough coastlines (Linnaeus, 1758), Pugilina cochlidium (Linnaeus, 1758), Melanoides punctata (Lamarck, 1822), Polinices mammilla (Linnaeus, 1758),and Rhinoclavis aspera (Linnaeus, 1758) found only in one station. The frequency of appearance of this type of mollusk shows the distribution of this type in the study location. The highest diversity Bivalvia is found at station 1 during the dry season and station 2 during the rainy season. The highest Gastropod diversity values were found at station 3 during the dry season and station 1 during the rainy season. Diversity of Bivalvia and Gastropods is higher in the dry season. There is no similarity in the structure of the gastropod community between the dry and rainy seasons. There is little similarity in bivalve community structure between the dry and rainy seasons.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman moluska (bivalvia dan gastropoda) pada dua musim di ekosistem mangrove di Dusun Luppung Kecamatan Ujung Loe Kabupaten Bulukumba. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode plot acak dan stasiun ditentukan dengan Purposive Sampling Method. Enam plot berukuran 1 x 1 m2 diaplikasi pada enam stasiun. Identifikasi species berdasarkan karakteristik morfologi dan disesuaikan dengan referensi identifikasi. Analisis data meliputi keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dan dominansi. Tingkat kesamaan (similaritas) antar stasiun menggunakan analisis Clustering metode Bray-curtis, Analisis data menggunakan Aplikasi PAST 4.03. Pada studi ini, Teridentifikasi 37 species (jenis) moluska, terdiri dari dua klas bivalvia (19 species) dan Gastropoda (17 species). This study is aimed to find out the effects of the chloroform fraction from a methanol extract of Acanthaster planci on non-specific immunity in Clarias sp. Thin Layer Chromatography analysis of the methanol extract's chloroform fraction yielded three fractions: FrKl3.1, FrKl3.2, and FrKl3.3. The FrKl3.3 fraction of Acanthaster planci had a significant influence on Phagocytic Activity at doses of 0.1 (54.09 ± 8.99 %), 0.3 (48.16 ± 3.34 %), 0.5 (50.39 ± 5.71 %), and 0.7 mg/kg Body Weight (46.58 ± 0.37 %). At 0.5 mg/kg Body Weight (4.03 ± 1.40 %), the Phagocytic Index of FrKl3.2 was significantly higher than the control. At 0.5 mg/kg Body Weight (38.22 ±1.43 cell 106/ml) and 0.7 mg/kg BW (40.41 ± 1.92 cell 106/ml), the number of leukocytes/white blood cells was significantly higher than the control. Nitroblue Tetrazolium and Total Plasma Protein were not significantly different from the control. Phenolic compounds are one of the secondary metabolites produced by Chlorella sp. and have been categorized as an important  antioxidants that play a role in the scavenging of free radicals.  This research uses ultraviolet (UV)-B (λ 280-320 nm) as a stressing in Chlorella sp. cultures.  The aim is to determine the effect of UV-B radiation on the biomass production of Chlorella sp. and total phenolic content (TPC), as well as its antioxidant activity.  The research method used is experimental with a completely randomized design (RAL).  The treatment tested was UV-B radiation with different duration of 0 (control), 40, 80, and 120 minutes/day during the culture period. Chlorella sp. culture is carried out using 12 glass containers with seawater (salinity 35 ppt) as culture media and enriched by Walne fertilizer (1 mL/L).  During the culture period, photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) light and aeration are carried out for 24 hours.  Biomass of Chlorella sp. was harvested 1 day after the peak of growth, then determined the weight of biomass and ethanol extract, followed by TPC, and antioxidant activity. The TPC test was carried out using the Follin-Ciocalteu reagent, while antioxidant activity used an inhibition test against 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH).  The results showed that UV-B radiation  had no significant effect on the biomass (p=0.122) and its ethanol extract yield (p=0.194), but had a significant effect on TPC (p=0.003) and DPPH inhibition percentage (p=0.036).  The UV-B radiation for 80 minutes/day for 10 days of the Chlorella sp. culture can be used to increase phenolic production with a TPC value of 4.906 mg GAE/g extract.  Pemberian cekaman abiotik pada kultur mikrolga dapat memicu produksi metabolit sekunder yang memiliki beragam bioaktivitas.  Senyawa fenolik adalah salah satu metabolit sekunder yang diproduksi oleh Chlorella sp. dan telah dikatagorikan sebagai antioksidan penting yang berperan dalam penangkalan radikal bebas.  Penelitian ini menggunakan cahaya ultraviolet (UV)-B (λ 280-320 nm) sebagai cekaman dalam kultur Chlorella sp.  Tujuannya adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh radiasi UV-B terhadap produksi biomassa Chlorella sp. dan kadar fenolik total/ total phenolic content (TPC), serta aktivitas antioksidannya.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan desain rancangan acak lengkap (RAL).  Perlakuan yang diujicobakan adalah pemberian radiasi UV-B dengan durasi yang berbeda, yaitu 0 (kontrol), 40, 80, dan 120 menit/hari selama masa kultur. This type of algae take nutrients from the substrate by diffusion through the walls from its thallus. This alga prefers habitat of clear waters that have substrate base of coral, dead coral, volcanic rocks or massive objects. Red algae can be found in intertidal, subtidal to coastal areas with strong waves and currents as well as in mangrove area. This study aims to determine the diversity and distribution patterns and associations of red algae in seagrass ecosystems and coastal coral reefs of Ternate Island. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with sampling by line-transect quadrat (1x1 meter). The sampling locations were divided into three stations. Data were analyzed descriptively and the number of red algae (Rhodophyta) found at each station was included in a distribution map based on depth and density index. The results showed that the total number of individuals found at the three stations was 33, where ST II dominated with 12 with an average of 3 individuals per depth. Distribution of individuals per depth at ST II was highest at a depth of 10 m with 4 individuals, followed by a depth of 5 and 15 m each with 3 individuals, a depth of 25 m was 1 individual, and no individual was found at 20 m depth. Substrate type at a depth of 10 m was dominated by coral and sandy fractures that could support well the growth and development of red algae.  Alga merah (Rhodophyta) merupakan tumbuhan tingkat rendah yang umumnya tumbuh melekat pada substrat tertentu seperti pada karang, lumpur, pasir, batu dan benda keras lainnya. Salah satu alga yang penting untuk diteliti adalah alga merah (Rhodophyta). Jenis alga ini mengambil nutrisi dari substrat secara difusi melalui dinding thallus-nya sedangkan habitatnya adalah perairan jernih yang mempunyai substrat dasar batu karang, batuan vulkanik dan benda-benda yang bersifat massive yang berada di dasar perairan. Alga merah dapat ditemukan pada daerah intertidal, subtidal sampai daerah tubir dengan ombak besar dan arus deras serta di hutan mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui diversitas dan pola sebaran serta asosiasi alga merah pada ekosistem lamun dan terumbu karang pesisir Pulau Ternate. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pengambilan sampel secara line transek kuadrat (1x1 meter). Lokasi pengambilan sampel dibedakan menjadi tiga stasiun. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan jumlah alga merah (Rhodophyta) yang ditemukan pada setiap stasiun di tuangkan dalam peta distribusi berdasarkan data kedalaman serta indeks kepadatannya.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total individu yang ditemukan pada ketiga stasiun adalah sebanyak 33, dimana pada ST II mendominasi dengan jumlah 12 dengan rata-rata perkedalaman adalah 3 individu.
