Purpose of the study: To evaluate reliability of the objectives, correlation between them, and ranking of their priorities within the quality control system for construction and installation operations in Vietnam. Methods: The objectives were evaluated by means of a questionnaire survey conducted in Vietnam, using a five-level scale, based on the reliability coefficient α, correlation coefficient r and mean value М. The sample size was 184. Results: According to the results of the questionnaire survey conducted in Vietnam, homogeneity and correlation between the following objectives was observed: compliance with the design documents, codes, and standards; safe operations; improvement of skills and experience; completion on time; completion on budget; environment protection. It also declares an approach to studying and designing urban space using patterns — spatial prototypes of the area. The purpose of the study is to provide insight into the pattern method applied in urban studies and practices. Methods: Using the theory of C. Alexander, the authors model the concept of pattern in urban planning, describe the process of urban environment development based on spatial “templates” of its formation. Results: City development is based on localization of design models for area planning or natural landscape-shaping mechanisms. Such design models and natural mechanisms are called patterns. Patterns are imprinted in the city fabric as locally coherent urban-planning formations — elementary urban units. Properties of patterns (integrity, limitation and repeatability) are listed. The methodology includes a set of scientific and technical activities and consists of several blocks of analysis of the composition of materials and design features: visual-optical, capillary, acoustic-ultrasonic, acoustic-ultrasonic pulsed, thermal-imaging, X-ray fluorescence and metallographic. The main results are the assessment of the technical condition of the monument to Alexander III, contributing to the development of restoration activities and conservation. Expert evaluation of house building technologies is based on a set of weighty criteria considering not only costs of resources but consumer appeal of apartment buildings as well. Requirements for railroad dowel tests in terms of their expediency, possibility to perform such tests and conformity with the actual operating conditions are analyzed. The initiative of the authors, arisen during an analysis of regulatory documents, served as a basis for the studies. Stresses in a dowel and its safety factor in operation and tests were determined analytically by the finite element method, using the APM FEM library, the system of strength analysis for KOMPAS-3D, certified within the GOST-R system. Railroad dowels manufactured by OOO NTT, ZAO Polimer ZAO and Vossloh Fastening Systems GmbH were used as study objects. For the purposes of simulation, 3D models of the corresponding dowels and their mating parts (sleeper, railroad screw, tension clamp, etc.) were built. According to the studies, in tensile tests of dowels, conducted according to Clause 4.6 of Specifications TsP 369 ТU-7, stresses of 85...100 MPa occur in the bodies of all dowels under consideration, which considerably exceed stresses appearing in dowels during operation, and the nature and distribution of such stresses do not correspond to those of operating stresses, the maximum value of which does not exceed 10 MPa. The analysis of stresses arising in sleepers with dowels by the manufacturers under consideration has shown that their limit value is 75 MPa. Besides, in sleepers with dowels by OOO NTT and Vossloh Fastening Systems GmbH, the maximum stresses are in the sleeper body, which allows for their redistribution and prevents dowel pulling-out from a sleeper. It is noted that St. Petersburg was a residence city for two centuries, which significantly affected its development. It is emphasized that the Winter Palace was not considered the center of city-planning composition of citywide significance, but gradual development of the residence according to the growing needs of the imperial family had decisive effect on formation of a large area in the historical nucleus of the city. Periodization for evolution of the area and imperial palace complex is suggested. It takes into account changes in its location in St. Petersburg and its functions, and clearly demonstrates that the culmination of their development was in the first third of the 19th century. It is noted that the area of the imperial residence is currently considered to be the core of the historical city center, but the conditions for adequate grasp of its unique landscape have been constantly deteriorating due to the growing traffic flow in the city. The advantage of two-stage crushing schemes is shown, which makes it possible to ensure a change in the ratio of large aggregate fractions within fairly wide limits. The experience of using centrifugal-impact crushers for the operation of the production of CJSC Ural-Omega at the final stage of crushing is summarized. It was demonstrated that the use of two centrifugal impact crushers at the final stage of crushing allows to obtain mixtures of significantly different types. Development of a graphical-and-analytical basis to perform optimization calculations for quantomobile motion control will contribute to studies on vehicle creation. Purpose of the study. It is required to develop a methodology for graphical representation of thrust vector realization as a graphical-and-analytical basis for optimization calculations of quantomobile trajectories. Methods. The thrust vector is decomposed into orthogonal components. A generalized quantomobile force balance equation is used. A mode of partial hovering of a vehicle is distinguished as the basic mode of near-ground motion. 2D modeling of force balance for a particular velocity slice is performed. 3D modeling of force balance with velocity sweeping is carried out. 2D and 3D models of force balance are developed using Maple software. Images of surfaces with regard to road and wind resistance with limits to the maximum thrust are built. Examples of calculation as well as graphical-and-analytical studies are provided. Results. A graphical-and-analytical basis for optimization calculations of quantomobile trajectories, changes in QE thrust and corresponding control actions is developed. Results of calculations with visualization are presented using specific examples. Discussion. Development of a program in the graphical environment required combining knowledge of the software tools and programmed field. Development of the quantomobile simulation model as well as its graphical-and-analytical basis in the direction of increasing complexity is the only way. Corresponding development stages are described. Two hypothetical areas for the minimization of sufficient thrust are distinguished: in the middle of vehicle hovering and after its full hovering. {"title":"INVESTMENTS IN PRESERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONAL CULTURAL HERITAGE: A LIBRARY OF BIM ELEMENTS REPRESENTING NATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL AND URBAN-PLANNING LANDMARKS","authors":"Bakhareva Olga, Kordonchik David","doi":"10.23968/2500-0055-2019-4-3-39-48","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.23968/2500-0055-2019-4-3-39-48","url":null,"abstract":"Introduction: The paper presents a methodology for reduction of expenses within investment projects aimed at the preservation and development of cultural heritage sites, based on the combined use of methods of scientific restoration, laser scanning and information modeling, as well as creation of a library of unique BIM elements of ancient city buildings, identified at protected sites of the urban environment, using restoration of a building in the Old Tatar Quarter (Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda) in Kazan as an example. Methods: The authors performed standard (traditional) scientific restoration activities and innovative field studies using laser scanning and built a parametric information model of the cultural heritage site for further development of a restoration plan with account for site adaptation to modern functions. Results and discussion: Point cloud processing is carried out to create an information model and a library of unique BIM elements, which can be used repeatedly in restoration and reconstruction, thus reducing costs for BIMmodel development in future investment projects.
