The deposit is located in an arid area of steppe zone, which is characterized by wind-formed processes, therefore, an assessment of the degree of exposure of tailing substance to them is one of the important geoecological tasks. Most of the surface of the MMMF tailings of the Kounradsky mine is composed of coarse-grained material. At the sampling points the fraction content greater 1 mm amounted to 58.7–82.5%. The moisture content for the sampling period ranged from 1.9% to 4%. It is shown that the process of an oxidation leaching of sulphide-containing substance of MMMF led to the formation of acid sulphate detached waters, which dry out quickly in dry climates, that brings about the formation of sulphate efflorescences on the surface of tailings and cementing layer. It has been determined that cement is a complex and consists of newly formed kaolinite and/or illite, jarosite, gypsum and water-soluble sulphates of Fe, Ca, Al, Mg, Na and Cu. Comparison of geochemical characteristics of aerosols collected directly at tailings and at the background point with geochemical characteristics of MMMF of the Kounradsky mine shows that today tailings are not a source of air pollutants. The source of high concentrations of Pb, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Ad, Cd in aerosols recorded at one of the points is industrial enterprises of Balkhash.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68427445","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Deposits of graphite, phlogopite, and iron have been discovered in the Paleoproterozoic granulite complexes of the Aldan-Stanovoy Shield on the southern margin of the North Asian Craton, and the first gold deposit has recently been discovered. Deposits are confined to the extended boundary of the infra- and supracrustal complexes within which multistage deformations, intense metasomatosis and metamorphism of various facies are observed. Modern methods of microanalysis allow scientists to significantly supplement data on the mineral composition of deposits, characterize conditions of their formation and make a comparison. The paper considers the geological structure of granulite complexes of the central part of the Aldan-Stanovoy Shield and ore mineralization in graphite-bearing quartzites, phlogopite-containing skarns, gold-bearing crystalline shales and diaphthorites. Ore and wallrock mineral associations have been identified. The comparison was made with well-studied ore deposits near the border of the Karelian Craton. The types of mineralization and directions of comparative metallogenic analysis are discussed.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68426108","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The tongue-like basin deposits were compared with those previously studied by researchers in headwaters of the Kharal River (Azas glacial complex), formed according to OSL dates in the interval of the end of MIS-3–MIS-2. Fluvioglacial overlapping an interglacial alluvium is compared with the same glacial complex. A rather large scattering of absolute dates, some of which fall within the last Neopleistocene thermochron, palynological and paleocarpological complexes from glacial deposits characterizing the stage of glaciation degradation, raise the question of independence of the second Late Neopleistocene one. Further geochronological study of the interglacial alluvium section is proposed to clarify the lower time boundary of the Azas shield glacier.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68426718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main result in the theory of solving this problem was determined by the equation of the normal traveltime curve of the common mid point with an additive component describing static corrections at the points of shotpoint and geophone. The substantiation of methods for compensation of heterogeneity based on the structure of high-speed model of the NSH is carried out in the present paper. Three variants of the NSH model corresponding to the zone of low velocities, heterogeneity of underlying bedrock deposits and variable relief of daytime surface are considered. The research subject is analytical methods for solving the problem of field continuation aimed at eliminating the influence of NSH on the kinematic parameters of wave field: method of static corrections and parametric method. Applications of methods are determined by the ratio of near-surface section velocities and underlying deposits. The requirements to the methodology of field observations and digital data processing ensuring the uniqueness of problem solution are considered for the compensation problem of heterogeneity of low-velocity zone.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68426198","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Allanite occurs in the large-block part and micropegmatite fringe of zonal pegmatites and it is closely associated with hydroxyl-containing minerals- muscovite, zoisite. Total concentrations of rare earth elements in mineral vary from 182163 to 189046 g/t. It is also characterized by increased contents of Ti, Y, Th, U, Mn. High ratios (La/Yb)N (from 278 to 375.7) indicate a highly diff erentiated type of REE distribution. The tetradic effect of the W-type REE fractionation in allanite is due to abnormal conditions of its crystallization at the transition stage to water enrichment of fluids and an increased alkaline regime of the mineral formation medium. This process contributed to manifestation of the effect of nonсonformity to charge-radius behavior of chemical elements during crystallization of allanite. Abundant mineral secretions contributed to its accumulation in placers of some rivers together with monazite.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68426177","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was determined that Ca, Mg, Na, K, Mn, as well as, Fe (at nearneutral pH) migrates in the form of free ions, the proportion of which in most cases is more than 90%. Among the complex forms of migration of trace elements, as well as U and Th, associates prevail with a participation of dominant anions HCO3 –, CO3 2–, compounds with Cl– ions are less common. Hydroxide and oxide coordination compounds play a significant role in the migration of Al, as well as Si, U and Th (reaching tens of % of gross content). In oxidizing environment, uranium migrates predominantly in the form of carbonate compounds, in a reducing environment – in the form of oxides and hydroxide ions. The proportion of samples with hydroxide forms decreases with an increase in pH value by more than 8.5, and the proportion of oxide forms increases. Thorium in the studied radon waters migrates mainly in the form of carbonate compounds, namely in the form of (ThCO3(OH)3)–, which accounts for more than 90% in most samples. Its decrease to values of about 60% is typical for slightly acidic waters with a pH of less than 6.5.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68427065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A high-speed model of the upper part of the Earth’s crust is constructed to depths of ≈2 km in the conjunction zone of the Okhotsk and Eurasian lithospheric plates. These waters undoubtedly belong to strategic types of natural resources, since they are essentially the only source of drinking water supply during emergencies, and the possibility of their use significantly affects the national security of the country. The current geopolitical situation around the Russian Federation dictates the need to consider the issue of managing transboundary resources of groundwater in the context of international legislative conventions and treaties in a new format, allocating groundwater to a separate block of strategic resources, the extraction of which occurs in frontier territories. The paper presents the analysis of the groundwater extraction quantitative evoluation at the largest water intake facilities of the Kaliningrad Region located on a transboundary territory using the balance calculation method. The method of balance approach, based on calculations of the so-called intake of water resources from the territory of neighboring state, allows for adjusting the activities of the intakes themselves and their further design taking into account boundary factors when approving maximum level decreases at observation points.","PeriodicalId":52268,"journal":{"name":"Geology and Mineral Resources of Siberia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47048815","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
