A novel symplectic thermodynamics and information geometry known as \"Lie group thermodynamics\" then explains foliation structures of thermodynamics. We then infer a geometric structure for heat equation from this archetypal model, and we have discovered a pure geometric structure of entropy, which characterizes entropy in coadjoint representation as an invariant Casimir function. The coadjoint orbits form the level sets on the entropy. By using the KKS 2-form in the affine case via Souriau's cocycle, the method also enables the Fisher metric from information geometry for Lie groups. The fact that transverse dynamics to these symplectic leaves is dissipative, whilst dynamics along these symplectic leaves characterize non-dissipative phenomenon, can be used to interpret this Lie group thermodynamics within the context of an open system out of thermodynamics equilibrium. In the following section, we will discuss the dissipative symplectic model of heat and information through the Poisson transverse structure to the symplectic leaf of coadjoint orbits, which is based on the metriplectic bracket, which guarantees conservation of energy and non-decrease of entropy. Baptiste Coquinot recently developed a new foundation theory for dissipative brackets by taking a broad perspective from non-equilibrium thermodynamics. He did this by first considering more natural variables for building the bracket used in metriplectic flow and then by presenting a methodical approach to the development of the theory. By deriving a generic dissipative bracket from fundamental thermodynamic first principles, Baptiste Coquinot demonstrates that brackets for the dissipative part are entirely natural, just as Poisson brackets for the non-dissipative part are canonical for Hamiltonian dynamics. We shall investigate how the theory of dissipative brackets introduced by Paul Dirac for limited Hamiltonian systems relates to transverse structure. We shall investigate an alternative method to the metriplectic method based on Michel Saint Germain's PhD research on the transverse Poisson structure. We will examine an alternative method to the metriplectic method based on the transverse Poisson structure, which Michel Saint-Germain studied for his PhD and was motivated by the key works of Fokko du Cloux. In continuation of Saint-Germain's works, Hervé Sabourin highlights the, for transverse Poisson structures, polynomial nature to nilpotent adjoint orbits and demonstrated that the Casimir functions of the transverse Poisson structure that result from restriction to the Lie-Poisson structure transverse slice are Casimir functions independent of the transverse Poisson structure. He also demonstrated that, on the transverse slice, two polynomial Poisson structures to the symplectic leaf appear that have Casimir functions. Current research and development efforts for 5G, Internet of things, and artificial intelligence technologies will benefit from new notions of timeliness in designing novel sensing, computing, and transmission strategies. The age of information (AoI) metric and a recent related urgency of information (UoI) metric enable promising frameworks in this direction. In this paper, we consider UoI optimization in an interactive point-to-point system when the updating terminal is resource constrained to send updates and receive/sense the feedback of the status information at the receiver. We first propose a new system model that involves Gaussian distributed time increments at the receiving end to design interactive transmission and feedback sensing functions and develop a new notion of UoI suitable for this system. We then formulate the UoI optimization with a new objective function involving a weighted combination of urgency levels at the transmitting and receiving ends. By using a Lyapunov optimization framework, we obtain a decision strategy under energy resource constraints at both transmission and receiving/sensing and show that it can get arbitrarily close to the optimal solution. It utilizes pressurized steam droplets generated at the exit to extinguish the fire quickly and the steam droplet strategy allows for an expressive decrease in water consumption. In this regard, the fire suppression process is influenced by the steam ejector efficiency, the performance of the pressurized steam, and the ejector core geometry, which controls the quality of the extinguishing mechanisms. This study investigated the impact of different mixing section diameters on the pumping performance of the ejector. The results showed that change in the diffuser throat diameter was susceptible to the entrainment ratio, which significantly increased, by 4 mm, by increasing the throat diameter of the diffuser and improved the pumping efficiency. Still, the critical back pressure of the ejector reduced. In addition, the diameter effect was studied and analyzed to evaluate the ejector performance under different operating parameters. The results revealed a rise in the entrainment ratio, then it diminished with increasing primary fluid pressure. The highest entrainment ratio recorded was 0.5 when the pressure reached 0.36 MPa at the critical range of back pressure, where the entrainment ratio remained constant until a certain back pressure value. Exceeding the critical pressure by increasing the back pressure to 7000 Pa permitted the entrainment ratio to reduce to zero. An optimum constant diameter maximized the ejector pumping efficiency under certain operating parameters. In actual design and production, it is necessary to consider both the exhaust efficiency and the ultimate exhaust capacity of the ejector.</p>","PeriodicalId":520609,"journal":{"name":"Entropy (Basel, Switzerland)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2022-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9689372/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"40677527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, based on the infection-spreading process of COVID-19, the traditional susceptible, infectious, and recovered (SIR) propagation model is extended to the susceptible, non-symptomatic, infectious, and recovered (SNIR) model. Based on this model, we present a method to estimate the number of individuals infected by a virus at any given time. By calculating the reduction in the number of infected individuals after blocking contacts, the method selects the set of contacts to be blocked that can maximally reduce the affected range. The selection of contacts to be blocked is repeated until the number of isolated contacts that need to be blocked is reached or all infection sources are blocked. The experimental results on three real datasets and three synthetic datasets show that the algorithm obtains contact blockings that can achieve a larger reduction in the range of infection than other similar algorithms. This shows that the presented SNIR propagation model can more precisely reflect the diffusion and infection process of viruses in social networks, and can efficiently block virus infections.</p>","PeriodicalId":520609,"journal":{"name":"Entropy (Basel, Switzerland)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2022-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9689805/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"40677526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through Chapman-Enskog expansion analysis, the linearized lattice Boltzmann equation (LLBE) was first recovered to linearized macroscopic equations. Then, using the fractional-step calculation technique, the solution of these linearized equations was divided into two steps: a predictor step and corrector step. Next, the evolution of the perturbation distribution function was transformed into the evolution of the perturbation equilibrium distribution function using second-order interpolation approximation of the latter at other positions and times to represent the nonequilibrium part of the former; additionally, the calculation formulas of SLLBM were deduced. SLLBM inherits the advantages of the linearized lattice Boltzmann method (LLBM), calculating acoustic disturbance and the mean flow separately so that macroscopic variables of the mean flow do not affect the calculation of acoustic disturbance. At the same time, it has other advantages: the calculation process is simpler, and the cost of computing memory is reduced. In addition, to simulate the acoustic scattering problem caused by the acoustic waves encountering objects, the immersed boundary method (IBM) and SLLBM were further combined so that the method can simulate the influence of complex geometries. Several cases were used to validate the feasibility of SLLBM for simulation of acoustic wave propagation under the mean flow.</p>","PeriodicalId":520609,"journal":{"name":"Entropy (Basel, Switzerland)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2022-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9689581/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"40677525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The approach is based on verbal evaluation of negotiation options that operates with linguistic variables to handle vague preferences and operationalizes them through oriented trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Two variants of the linguistic method based on Hellwig's approach and oriented fuzzy numbers are proposed, which can be applied to building a scoring system for the negotiation template. Then, an example of determining such a scoring system and using it to evaluate the negotiation offers in typical multi-issue negotiation is shown. The results are discussed and compared with other methods known from the literature, in which the preference information is organized similarly but processed differently. The comparison shows that the presented methods can be an alternative to Simple Additive Weighting or TOPSIS methods that may also operate with oriented fuzzy numbers, but some of their characteristics may be problematic from the viewpoint of data interpretation. However, restricted by the fixed receptive field of convolution operation, convolution-based models cannot directly obtain contextual information. Meanwhile, Swin Transformer possesses great potential in modeling long-range dependencies. Nevertheless, Swin Transformer breaks images into patches that are single-dimension sequences without considering the position loss problem inside patches. Therefore, Inspired by Swin Transformer and Unet, we propose SUD-Net (Swin transformer-based Unet-like with Dynamic attention pyramid head Network), a new U-shaped architecture composed of Swin Transformer blocks and convolution layers simultaneously through a dual encoder and an upsampling decoder with a Dynamic Attention Pyramid Head (DAPH) attached to the backbone. First, we propose a dual encoder structure combining Swin Transformer blocks and reslayers in reverse order to complement global semantics with detailed representations. Second, aiming at the spatial loss problem inside each patch, we design a Multi-Path Fusion Model (MPFM) with specially devised Patch Attention (PA) to encode position information of patches and adaptively fuse features of different scales through attention mechanisms. Third, a Dynamic Attention Pyramid Head is constructed with deformable convolution to dynamically aggregate effective and important semantic information.
