For example, web page visits, server memory utilization, etc. KPI anomaly detection is a core technology, which is of great significance for rapid fault detection and repair. This paper proposes a novel dual-stage attention-based LSTM-VAE (DA-LSTM-VAE) model for KPI anomaly detection. Firstly, in order to capture time correlation in KPI data, long-short-term memory (LSTM) units are used to replace traditional neurons in the variational autoencoder (VAE). Then, in order to improve the effect of KPI anomaly detection, an attention mechanism is introduced into the input stage of the encoder and decoder, respectively. During the input stage of the encoder, a time attention mechanism is adopted to assign different weights to different time points, which can adaptively select important input sequences to avoid the influence of noise in the data. During the input stage of the decoder, a feature attention mechanism is adopted to adaptively select important latent variable representations, which can capture the long-term dependence of time series better. In addition, this paper proposes an adaptive threshold method based on anomaly scores measured by reconstruction probability, which can minimize false positives and false negatives and avoid adjustment of the threshold manually. Experimental results in a public dataset show that the proposed method in this paper outperforms other baseline methods.
","PeriodicalId":520609,"journal":{"name":"Entropy (Basel, Switzerland)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2022-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9689873/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"40460056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Satisfiability (SAT) is to find the set of assignment values of input variables for the given Boolean function that evaluates this function as TRUE or prove that such satisfying values do not exist. For a POS SAT problem, we proposed a novel quantum algorithm for the maximum satisfiability (MAX-SAT), which returns the maximum number of OR terms that are satisfied for the SAT-unsatisfiable function, providing us with information on how far the given Boolean function is from the SAT satisfaction. We used Grover's algorithm with a new block called quantum counter in the oracle circuit. The proposed circuit can be adapted for various forms of satisfiability expressions and several satisfiability-like problems. Using the quantum counter and mirrors for SAT terms reduces the need for ancilla qubits and realizes a large Toffoli gate that is then not needed. Our circuit reduces the number of ancilla qubits for the terms T of the Boolean function from T of ancilla qubits to ≈⌈log2⁡T⌉+1. We analyzed and compared the quantum cost of the traditional oracle design with our design which gives a low quantum cost.
","PeriodicalId":520609,"journal":{"name":"Entropy (Basel, Switzerland)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2022-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9689672/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"40479773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the computational point of view, it is important to quickly compute, approximate, or bound the entropy. In a distributed system, the representative (\"global\") frequency vector is the average of the \"local\" frequency vectors, each residing in a distinct node. Typically, the trivial solution of aggregating the local vectors and computing their average incurs a huge communication overhead. Hence, the challenge is to approximate, or bound, the entropy of the global vector, while reducing communication overhead. User identity linkage aims to predict whether users across different social networks refer to the same person, and it has received significant attention for downstream tasks such as recommendation and user profiling. Recently, researchers proposed measuring the relevance of user-generated content to predict identity linkages of users. However, there are two challenging problems with existing content-based methods: first, barely considering the word similarities of texts is insufficient where the semantical correlations of named entities in the texts are ignored; second, most methods use time discretization technology, where the texts are divided into different time slices, resulting in failure of relevance modeling. To address these issues, we propose a user identity linkage model with the enhancement of a knowledge graph and continuous time decay functions that are designed for mitigating the influence of time discretization. Apart from modeling the correlations of the words, we extract the named entities in the texts and link them into the knowledge graph to capture the correlations of named entities. The semantics of texts are enhanced through the external knowledge of the named entities in the knowledge graph, and the similarity discrimination of the texts is also improved. Furthermore, we propose continuous time decay functions to capture the closeness of the posting time of texts instead of time discretization to avoid the matching error of texts. We conduct experiments on two real public datasets, and the experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms state-of-the-art methods.
","PeriodicalId":520609,"journal":{"name":"Entropy (Basel, Switzerland)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9689741/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"40457710","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This standard enables low-power, long-range, and low-data-rate communications. Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) is a recent standard of LPWAN that incorporates LoRa wireless into a networked infrastructure. Consequently, the consumption of smart End Devices (EDs) is a major challenge due to the highly dense network environment characterised by limited battery life, spectrum coverage, and data collisions. Intelligent and efficient service provisioning is an urgent need of a network to streamline the networks and solve these problems. This paper proposes a Dynamic Reinforcement Learning Resource Allocation (DRLRA) approach to allocate efficient resources such as channel, Spreading Factor (SF), and Transmit Power (Tp) to EDs that ultimately improve the performance in terms of consumption and reliability. In this paper, an effective lightweight LZUC (lightweight Zu Chongzhi) cipher based on chaotic system is proposed to improve the traditional ZUC algorithm. In this method, a further algorithm is designed for the process of integrating chaos into the lightweighting of ZUC. For the first time, this design introduces the logistic chaotic system into both the LFSR (linear feedback shift register) and nonlinear F-function of the cryptographic algorithm. The improved LZUC algorithm not only achieves a certain effect in lightweighting, but also has good statistical properties and security of the output sequence. To verify the performance of the LZUC cipher, we performed NIST statistical tests and information entropy analysis on its output key streams and discussed the typical attacks on the algorithm's resistance to weak key analysis, guess-determination analysis, time-stored data trade-off analysis, and algebraic analysis. In addition, we completed the design of an image security system using the LZUC cipher. Histogram analysis and correlation analysis are used to analyze both plaintext and ciphertext data. Among them, grid-based clustering is highly efficient in handling spatial data. However, the traditional grid-based clustering algorithms still face many problems: (1) Parameter tuning: density thresholds are difficult to adjust; (2) Data challenge: clusters with overlapping regions and varying densities are not well handled. We propose a new grid-based clustering algorithm named GCBD that can solve the above problems. Firstly, the density estimation of nodes is defined using the standard grid structure. Secondly, GCBD uses an iterative boundary detection strategy to distinguish core nodes from boundary nodes. Finally, two clustering strategies are combined to group core nodes and assign boundary nodes. Experiments on 18 datasets demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms 6 grid-based competitors.
","PeriodicalId":520609,"journal":{"name":"Entropy (Basel, Switzerland)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9688995/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"40460050","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A possible approach to managing these data is to build local classifiers based on each table individually. In the literature, many approaches toward combining the final prediction results of independent classifiers can be found, but insufficient efforts have been made on the study of tables' cooperation and coalitions' formation. The importance of such an approach was expected on two levels. First, the impact on the quality of classification-the ability to build combined classifiers for coalitions of tables should allow for the learning of more generalized concepts. In turn, this should have an impact on the quality of classification of new objects. Second, combining tables into coalitions will result in reduced computational complexity-a reduced number of classifiers will be built. The paper proposes a new method for creating coalitions of local tables and generating an aggregated classifier for each coalition. Coalitions are generated by determining certain characteristics of attribute values occurring in local tables and applying the Pawlak conflict analysis model. In the study, the classification and regression trees with Gini index are built based on the aggregated table for one coalition. The system bears a hierarchical structure, as in the next stage the decisions generated by the classifiers for coalitions are aggregated using majority voting. The classification quality of the proposed system was compared with an approach that does not use local data cooperation and coalition creation. The structure of the system is parallel and decision trees are built independently for local tables. In the paper, it was shown that the proposed approach provides a significant improvement in classification quality and execution time. The Wilcoxon test confirmed that differences in accuracy rate of the results obtained for the proposed method and results obtained without coalitions are significant, with a p level = 0.005. The average accuracy rate values obtained for the proposed approach and the approach without coalitions are, respectively: 0.847 and 0.812; so the difference is quite large. Moreover, the algorithm implementing the proposed approach performed up to 21-times faster than the algorithm implementing the approach without using coalitions.
","PeriodicalId":520609,"journal":{"name":"Entropy (Basel, Switzerland)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9689716/pdf/","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"40457711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By deploying an IRS on the facade of a building, the UAV base station can be assisted to realize the secure transmission in this multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system. In order to maximize the secrecy rate (SR), the transmit precoding (TPC) matrix, artificial noise (AN) matrix, IRS phase shift matrix, and UAV position are jointly optimized subject to the constraints of transmit power limit, unit modulus of IRS phase shift, and maximum moving distance of UAV. Since the problem is non-convex, an alternating optimization (AO) algorithm is proposed to solve it. Specifically, the TPC matrix and AN covariance matrix are derived by the Lagrange dual method. The alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM), majorization-minimization (MM), and Riemannian manifold gradient (RCG) algorithms are presented, respectively, to solve the IRS phase shift matrix, and then the performance of the three algorithms is compared. Based on the proportional integral (PI) control theory, a secrecy rate gradient (SRG) algorithm is proposed to iteratively search for the UAV position by following the direction of the secrecy rate gradient.
