Vigier","doi":"10.6018/turismo.474041","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.6018/turismo.474041","url":null,"abstract":"El objetivo del presente trabajo es discutir el papel y el alcance del turismo en los procesos de urbanización del litoral en Argentina y, por extensión, en Latinoamérica. Para ello, se identifican grupos de ciudades según su dinámica turística de acuerdo a los cambios y continuidades demográficas y económicas que han experimentado durante el periodo 2001 - 2010. \u0000Los resultados obtenidos permiten entender de manera contextualizada la naturaleza y funcionalidad turística y urbana de las diferentes ciudades del litoral de la provincia de Buenos Aires. Así, se han identificado seis grupos de ciudades según los procesos de cambio que ha provocado en ellas el turismo y se ha evidenciado la diversidad, complejidad y dinamismo que presenta cada tipo de conglomerado según sus características particulares. Todo ello ha permitido visualizar la diversidad de destinos que existen en el litoral de la provincia según su situación urbana particular y su evolución turística reciente. \u0000Por último, se ofrecen evidencias empíricas que respaldan la concepción que el turismo no solamente tiene efectos diferenciales en los procesos de urbanización, sino que, en función de las circunstancias locales, genera dinámicas específicas que deben explicarse a partir del conocimiento de la realidad económica y la identidad de cada lugar.\u0000 The aim of this paper is to discuss the role and the impact of tourism in Argentina´s and thus Latin America´s coastal urban development processes. Hence, groups of cities with different tourism dynamics are identified according to their demographic and economic changes and continuities during the period 2001-2010. \u0000The results allow us to understand in a contextualized way the nature and tourist and urban functionality of the different cities in the littoral of Buenos Aires. Thus, six groups of cities have been identified according to the processes of change that tourism has caused in them and the diversity, complexity and dynamism that each type of cluster presents according to its particular characteristics has been evidenced. Concretely, sidewalk cafes (which basically consist of tables and chairs) have become a matter of controversy. This research aims to compare both legal framework and factual occupancy concerning sidewalk cafes in urban tourist areas of two Spanish cities (Seville and Barcelona). Content analysis of the legal framework and fieldwork have been the main methods used. Results point to the limited capacity of city ordinances to restrain the increasing occupancy of public space. Adding an integrative perspective that evaluates the real impact on the territory of regulated and unregulated accommodation in cities in order to guarantee the sustainability of the long-term destinations, the tourist experience and the quality of life of the residents. \u0000 The data of the hotels and tourist apartments are analyzed together with those of Airbnb. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es conocer cómo los estudios superiores de máster y doctorado en España abordan los aspectos de sostenibilidad ambiental. La metodología utilizada para abordar este objetivo ha sido el análisis del contenido de los 55 programas académicos de máster (impartidos por 39 universidades) y los 7 de doctorado (impartidos por 18 universidades) a partir de los documentos publicados en el Registro de Universidades, Centros y Títulos del Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades de España y en las páginas web de las universidades. \u0000Los resultados obtenidos evidencian la baja incidencia que, por el momento, tiene el concepto de sostenibilidad ambiental en los curricula de los másteres, en las líneas de investigación de los programas de doctorado y en las tesis doctorales presentadas en la última década. También se ha observado que su consideración se aborda de forma puntual y aislada en los programas sin insertarse en visiones integrales. \u0000Además de una cuestión de responsabilidad social y económica en relación con el uso de los recursos naturales, se considera que la sostenibilidad ambiental es el área que permite actualmente un mayor margen de mejora de la oferta de los destinos turísticos para incrementar su competitividad. Por tanto, es responsabilidad de las universidades formar a sus estudiantes en el desarrollo de técnicas y competencias que atiendan a estas necesidades del sector e inculcar una ética de los valores ambientales y el respeto por la naturaleza y el planeta.\u0000 Environmental sustainability and human resources education are two structural factors in the competitiveness of a tourist destination. The main objective of the current work is to discover how higher education in master and doctoral studies in Spain address aspects of environmental sustainability. The methodology used to attain the objective was the content analysis of 55 academic master's programmes (taught by 39 universities) and 7 doctoral programmes (taught by 18 universities) based on the documents published in the Legal Register of Universities, Colleges and University Qualifications (Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities) and on the websites of the universities. \u0000The obtained results demonstrate that, for the moment, the concept of environmental sustainability has a low impact on the curricula of master's degrees, research lines of the doctoral programmes and on doctoral dissertations presented over the last decade. The analysis is conducted on the basis of the quantitative information obtained from a satisfaction survey. The results reveal a positive overall perception, ruling out saturation perception problems linked to the increasing number of pilgrims walking along their communities. In the research, the housekeeper area stands out, where the performance that they live is related to the socio cultural characteristics for the female gender.
