If students preparing to become primary teachers are offered sufficient and varied required, elective and optional subjects to develop these competences, they will be able to successfully apply digital competences in their future teaching practice. In May 2023, a survey was conducted with 200 students preparing to become primary teachers at the Pedagogical Faculty of Plovdiv University \"Paisii Hilendarski\", which would establish their attitudes on the issues raised. The results of this study showed: the students' high assessment of the usefulness of the studied compulsory disciplines for the development of digital competences, as well as an increased interest in the offered elective and optional disciplines with the same focus; the importance of primary teacher candidates having a good level of digital competences. TripAdvisor reviews of a Thai street food restaurant were examined in the periods of before (2012-2017) and after (2018-2023) being awarded one Michelin Star. Two digital tools were employed: Web Scraper and KH Coder. Positive aspects of the reviews were found. Most of the reviews rose from 4 bubble ratings at 42.53% during 2012-2017 to 5 bubble ratings at 42.43% during 2018-2023. Frequent words and co-occurrence network highlighted the signature dishes of the restaurant and quality of food as well as pinpointed the need for a table reservation and the waiting time. The findings are significant to the customer service experience, specifically pertaining to dining and table assistance. Using qualitative research, the author evaluates university formal education OER and OEP deployment and outcomes. This research found that OER, CDIO (Conceive – Design – Implement – Operate), and single-boar computer (SBC) learning media increase curricular content and instruction. Open education encourages education community cooperation and interaction. However, copyright, quality assurance, and curricular integration persist. A comparison between the different mathematical models and their areas of applicability is proposed. This analysis is generally done in terms of costs. The importance of the article lies in the proposal of a new mathematical model for estimating life cycle of power substations, compatible with current and future requirements. The study findings reveal that an optimization model can be established using the life cycle assessment method to obtain a longer lifespan, but also to minimize costs (maintenance, repairs, replacements, etc.). In order to establish a mathematical model of the life cycle of electrical substations, it is necessary to study several important design parameters and decision factors for each stage of the life cycle. Even if the paper does not provide empirical results, it must prove that it is necessary to develop a multi-algorithm optimization framework to find an adequate solution. This was especially noticeable during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this period telepresence applications were of exceptional importance. They supported communications and provided social interactions, enriching our lives during isolation. In this paper, we propose a solution for telepresence using Padbot U1 robot and the MQTT protocol. The idea is to use this solution for virtual tours in museums, art galleries, historical sites, etc. We have developed two different applications. One is a client application used by the visitor, for controlling the robot remotely. The other application is for the mobile device (tablet) attached to the robot, which is used to enable telepresence and to forward control commands to the robot. By scanning the QR codes placed on the objects, visitors can also get specific information about each of objects. Communication between applications (sending commands and receiving information for objects) is realized with the MQTT protocol. Parametric variance-covariance (VaR) methods are not applicable for assessing the risks of bitcoin investment, since log returns are not distributed according to the normal law. Autoregressive risk assessment models (such as ARIMA-GARCH) for bitcoin volatility overestimate risks at times of sharp exchange rate changes and they underestimate them at times of less significant rate changes compared to historical volatility. The grid search for the smoothing parameter in the exponentially weighted moving average method is potentially interesting for modeling the risks of bitcoin investment. This makes it possible to fully take into account the autocorrelation of the bitcoin rate to the levels of previous periods and the volatility of the asset. A questionnaire was used to gather data for this purpose, in which 167 respondents from different regions of the country took part. The questionnaire focused on the frequency of using specific educational applications, such as learning management systems, collaborative tools, and educational games. Most often, Google applications are used in blended learning (72% of respondents). To organize and conduct lectures/practical classes, teachers quite actively use Google Slides (79.4%/73.8% of respondents), Google Meet (69.2%/65.4% of respondents), YouTube (60.7%/56.1% of respondents). It was found that the vast majority of teachers (91%) positively evaluate the impact of Google Workspace for education tools on the effectiveness of teaching methods. Accuracy examination is essential in any remote sensing-based classification practice, given that classification maps consistently include misclassified pixels and classification misconceptions. In this study, two imaginary satellites for Duhok province, Iraq, were captured at regular intervals, and the photos were analyzed using spatial analysis tools to provide supervised classifications. Some processes were conducted to enhance the categorization, like smoothing. The classification results indicate that Duhok province is divided into four classes: vegetation cover, buildings, water bodies, and bare lands. During 2013-2022, vegetation cover increased from 63% in 2013 to 66% in 2022; buildings roughly increased by 1% to 3% yearly; water bodies showed a decrease of 2% to 1%; the amount of unoccupied land showed a decrease from 34% to 30%. This problem only deepens with each new generation. A practical workshop approach has been implemented in the subject “Analysing system requirements and specifications”. Its place in the curriculum is explained. A technique for developing innovation and prototypes, used by Google for motivation is described. The method of its’ implementation is thoroughly documented. A brief experiment in the form of a workshop is described and the gathered data is analysed. A survey on student feedback is conducted and the results are discussed. Influence on student soft skills improvement is evaluated. An observation on using the methodology as an introductory workshop to break the ice with engineering students is made. Novizon, Yusreni Warmi, Andre Febrian Kasmar","doi":"10.18421/tem131-70","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18421/tem131-70","url":null,"abstract":"This research aims to determine the flashover voltage on the surface of porcelain insulators on 150 kV transmission lines located in Payakumbuh, where the insulators are contaminated with dust and moss due to the effects of temperature and humidity. The experiment is carried out with only up to seven insulator plates due to the limitations of the available apparatus. For the further testing, a trend analysis is applied. According to the experimental results, a rise in temperature around the insulator will increase the flashover voltage value and accelerate the potential for a flashover event. This happens because high temperatures can reduce the insulator's dielectric strength and insulation resistance and increase the risk of flashover. The dielectric strength values decreased with an average decrease of 44.62% per insulator plate for dusty insulators and 45.08% for each plate for mossy insulators.
