Gundran","doi":"10.54476/ioer-imrj/083363","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.54476/ioer-imrj/083363","url":null,"abstract":"This action research aimed to find out if the use of ReGiFoSoFi Method is effective in improving the problem-solving skills of the 30 students of Grade 7-Amethyst of Dr. Ricardo Gacula Memorial National High School during the Academic Year 2022-2023. This action research made use of the One Group Pre-Test Post-Test research design in determining the level of problem-solving skills of the respondents before and after the utilization of ReGiFoSoFi Method. The data gathering instrument utilized in this action research was a 40-point teacher-made test which is composed of a 15-item multiple choice and a five-item problem solving with the use of a rubric in checking. For the analysis and interpretation of the results, the statistical tools frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, t-test, and gain ratio were used. Based on the findings, the researchers arrived at the following conclusions: (1) the level of problem-solving skills of Grade 7-Amethyst in Physics improved from Very Poor to Very Satisfactory, (2) ReGiFoSoFi Method is an effective strategy in improving the problem-solving skills of Grade 7-Amethyst in Physics, and (3) there is a good increase in the post-test scores of the students after the implementation of ReGiFoSoFi Method. Based on the conclusions, the following recommendations are set forth: (1) The school administrators may continue to encourage their teachers to attend training and workshops concerning strategies and methods in teaching science, for them to formulate new strategies to improve the skills of the students like ReGiFoSoFi for problem-solving skills in physics, (2) the science Teachers may adopt ReGiFoSoFi Method in teaching physics-related problems, (3) the students may engage themselves on the proper and systematic way of solving a problem using ReGiFoSoFi Method, and (4) a further study may be concluded using ReGiFoSoFi Method in teaching other physics-related topics to a wider and different group of respondents. Leaders of higher education institutions face ongoing difficulties from both internal and external sources. The objective of this research was to investigate and evaluate the resilience capabilities of academic and non-academic leaders in higher education institutions, namely in private and public colleges located in the City of Malolos, Bulacan using a descriptive survey approach. This research has the potential to assist leaders in higher educational institutions in safeguarding themselves against future disruptions or achieving a more expedient recovery. The variables used in this study were self-assurance, personal vision, flexibility and adaptability, organization, problem-solving ability, resourcefulness, rapidity, and proactivity. Research was done to empirically investigate the impact of several dimensions of resilience on the organizational leadership of leaders in higher education institutions. The findings suggested that there were no statistically significant disparities in the robustness of organizational leadership between private and public colleges. Based on the data conducted to compare the resilience of academic and non-academic leaders in organizational leadership was revealed to be not statistically significant, indicating that there is no significant difference between the two groups at a significant level. To address these challenges, organizations must develop effective strategic information security, supported by reliable performance measurement tools such as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This research aims to investigate the information security implemented by BPO companies and their utilization of the 14 cybersecurity KPIs to track and enhance their information security measures. A mixed-methods strategy is used in the study, integrating qualitative and quantitative techniques. The qualitative component involves thematic analysis of key informant interviews, while the quantitative component entails the analysis of Likert-scale questionnaires and numerical data. The findings of this research provide valuable insights into the significance of strategic information security in achieving effective information security management within the BPO industry. The study reveals the specific elements incorporated in these plans, such as risk assessment methodologies, security controls implementation, employee training, incident response strategies, and compliance measures. The implications of this study offer valuable insights for BPO organizations to develop robust strategic information security tailored to their specific context, ensuring effective alignment with organizational objectives and risk management strategies. The right to marry is considered a sacred right in each life. By this right, a family will be formed and linked with affection and sharing among family members. Therefore, protecting the right to marry of same-sex people will ensure the social value of the law, towards fairness - a noble goal of the law. More and more countries and territories around the world recognize same-sex marriage or other forms of registered coupling. This is a progressive trend that meets the needs and guarantees the rights of homosexuals. Moreover, the recognition of same-sex marriage also has positive effects on the family and society as shown by various scientific studies around the world. Vietnam is one of the countries taking relative late actions to build the rights for gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) people in general and LGBT right to marry in particular. The lack of regulations on the recognition of same-sex marriage has obviously led to many significant difficulties faced by LGBT people. Over time, their role has expanded to promoting grassroots community leadership, village development and undertaking advocacy initiatives for women’s greater inclusion and participation in their households, communities, and economy. This paper expounds the role and impacts of SHGFs in promoting women’s economic and social empowerment in Madhya Pradesh, one of India’s most densely populated and poverty affected States. With over one third of its population (roughly 25 million people) living in poverty (as per Niti Aayog’s Multidimensional Poverty Index, 2021), the State lags behind in critical human development indicators such as malnutrition, infant mortality, education, health, lack of clean drinking water, skills and employment opportunities. Women disproportionately suffer the brunt of these challenges coupled with regressive social and cultural norms that subject them to myriad forms of marginalization and discrimination. Over the last decade, Hand in Hand India (HiHI), a leading NGO championing gender equality through job creation and financial inclusion has been actively working for women’s empowerment, livelihoods promotion and integrated community development in Madhya Pradesh. Under one of our projects in Madhya Pradesh, ‘UNITED: Bringing Unity to Improve Livelihoods and Women Empowerment,’ we worked with a network of 200 SHGFs representing over 20,400 women over 3 years, between 2019 and 2022, where a majority of the women came from backward communities and were supported with integrated training and capacity building programs for livelihoods promotion. Additionally, SHGFs were trained and mentored to become frontrunners for advancing enterprise creation, women’s empowerment and community development. {"title":"“We are in the Battlefield”: \"Bereaved Mothers and Widows: Navigating Multigenerational Conflicts.","authors":"E. Segev","doi":"10.47722/imrj.2001.22","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.47722/imrj.2001.22","url":null,"abstract":"Although the loss of a close family member affects the family relationship, most studies have focused on the coping of individuals with the loss and only a minority have examined the family system and the mutual influence of family members on their adjustment to loss. Less is known about the intergenerational relations in the context of loss. The aim of this article is to discusses conflicts in the relationships between Israeli widows and bereaved mothers after the death of their husband and son. Methods: Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with two groups of participants: ten bereaved mothers and ten widows (from different bereaved families) whose sons or spouses died while serving in the Israeli military, the police, or the security forces. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Results: The following conflictual issues were identified: (1) Fighting over the memory of the deceased; (2) Tensions around the relationship with the children/grandchildren; and (3) Offensive communication patterns. Discussion: These conflicts are discussed in the Israeli context. The grieving rituals and the honor bestowed upon soldiers and other members of the security forces and their families have paradoxically served to silence the issue. Through an intersectional analysis of Tomboy (2011), Girlhood (2014), and Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019), all of which were directed by Céline Sciamma; Inxeba (2017) by John Trengove, and Moffie (2019) by Oliver Hermanus, I demonstrate how specific scenes and sequences expose and critique gender, race, class, and sexuality norms. Drawing from feminist, queer, and postcolonial theories, I identify three types of visibility across the films: disruption, consent, and contemporary politics. The analysis reveals how the selected films contest dominant cinematic gazes and scopic regimes by giving visibility to diverse identities and experiences. The article focuses on researching current Vietnamese legal regulations and challenges in protecting women's personal data in Vietnam. Besides pointing out the need to protect women's personal data, the article also points out unreasonable points in the provisions of Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP (the first legal document of Vietnam direct regulations on personal data protection). Difficulties and obstacles when implementing legal regulations on protecting women's personal data and factors affecting the effectiveness of law enforcement on protecting women's personal data in Vietnam is also mentioned.
