A proprietarytool with a high reliability index was used to measure the level of commitment – the dependentvariable in this research. In the process of operationalizing the variable, use was made of thetheory of attitude components. Lessons conducted, school events, andimplemented pedagogical innovations are often widely discussed in the virtual space. Educationalinstitutions report on school celebrations, trips and competitions in the form of photo reportsposted on social media. However, this involves numerous risks for children and young people,similar to the consequences of “sharenting” (a term derived from the words “parenting” and “share”,which describes the practice of parents sharing photos and information about their children on theInternet). A seemingly harmless activity often aimed at promoting the school may turn out to bedangerous for its residents. It is therefore worth knowing its scope.The article presents the results of a survey (CAWI) conducted among professionally activeteachers of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools regarding their awareness of the threatsresulting from posting students’ images on the Internet. The scale of the phenomenon, the topicsof entries and photographs posted by teachers online, as well as the frequency with which they doso are discussed. The motivators for sharing students’ images on social media, as well as teachers’awareness of the risks resulting from it, are also presented. The future for universities entails further development of digital technology and theexpansion of artificial intelligence. Therefore, it is necessary to move away from stereotypes andat least try to apply new teaching methods employing to the extent possible, synchronous andasynchronous methods. In view of the above, the author adopted the following research problem:What challenges and threats await higher education in the era of modern digitization? The aim ofthe article is to identify and analyze the changing conditions in the context of shaping the securityenvironment in higher education, determining appropriate needs and values that, without properdiagnosis, may cause a development or an educational crisis. Theoretical methods such as analysis,synthesis, inference and analysis of existing data were used to solve the research problem, mainlyon the basis of data from the Statistics Poland and an international survey conducted by AlessiPaccagnini from the University of Dublin. Preliminary results of the study have shown that insome sciences, synchronous and asynchronous teaching methods will be the leading ones, whichwill make it possible for us to educate students of all ages. The overall functioning of the civil protection system depends on the efficiency of thedecision-making entities, which are entities of the public administration at various levels andthe executive entities such as fire protection units, the Police, the Armed Forces, the MedicalRescue System, etc. Each of the aforementioned institutions and organisations has at itsdisposal the resources that are necessary to maintain organisational capacity and to maintaincontinuity of operations. The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on society, as wellas on administrative entities, organisations and institutions. Its impact created a very high riskof adverse effects that affected organisational resources. The aim of this article is to determinehow to systemically ensure the civil protection under conditions of limited institutional resourcesin the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fire protection units, more specifically organisationalunits of the State Fire Service and volunteer fire services, were taken as an analytical basis. It wasinvestigated by means of empirical research, quantitative and qualitative research methods onhow the COVID-19 pandemic affected the resources of these fire protection units, in particular:human, financial, information and material resources. Activities in the digital sphere have both offensive and defensive dimensions and are directed both outward and inward. This article attempts to systematize information on Iran's cyber capabilities, both internal and external. The purpose of the article is to discuss the challenges to individual states and the international community as a whole posed by Iranian activities in the digital sphere. The question the author seeks to answer in the article is how Tehran uses the digital tools it possesses to implement its security strategy. The author used theoretical methods related to the analysis and criticism of available sources, such as reports of technology companies and research institutes, intelligence documents, and legal acts. Poland is situated in Central-Eastern Europe at the intersection of the rimland andthe heartland. The region of this part of Europe is predominantly lowland, characterized by vaststeppes and considerable distances between cities, which led to its dominance in agriculture. Thecountries in this area of Europe were often referred to as the “granaries of Europe,” contributingto their technological backwardness. Looking at the countries in this area in terms of population,GDP and military potential, two poles of power that have been clashing for over 500 years canbe distinguished – Poland and Russia. This assumptionwas confirmed during spraying with unmanned aerial vehicles carried out in 2021–2023. Theexperience gained and conclusions enabled the development of a concept of initial and directnavigational preparation for unmanned aircraft systems performing spraying. It is also possibleto use this algorithm to perform deactivation by drones. The results obtained from the conductedaerial tests (within two scenarios: agricultural spraying and decontamination) have also shown thatthe risk analysis methodology recommended by EASA (SORA) entails a number of limitations andcannot be applied during spraying as it causes gaps in safety management. Safety engineering is an area of knowledge,an area of education (field of higher studies), an area of science (a new discipline in the fieldof engineering and technical sciences). On the other hand, occupational health and safety is anarea of knowledge (e.g.: occupational health and safety service, legal information, standardizationinformation, industry information), an area of education (e.g.: training in the field of occupationalhealth and safety, occupation of an occupational health and safety technician, field of higherstudies, postgraduate studies), yet it is not an autonomous area of science as an independentscientific discipline (it has a chance of becoming a research area or scientific specialty in thediscipline of safety engineering). The scope of the publication comprises selected aspects of safetyengineering, selected aspects of occupational health and safety and a review of requirements in thefield of occupational risk assessment. The research and analyses included publicly available datain the field of higher education and science system (including: POL-on system, RAD-on system,Polish Science database, website of the Council of Scientific Excellence): universities offering fieldsof study in safety engineering and occupational health and safety, entities and persons conductingresearch activities in safety engineering, entities authorized to award doctoral degrees andhabilitated doctor degrees in safety engineering, persons declaring scientific specialties in safetyengineering and occupational health and safety.
