Theprocess of its shaping tends to differ in each community. However, the source of success is theopenness and involvement of all actors in a given community (citizens, local authorities, safetyinstitutions and rescue entities or non-governmental organisations). One of the critical and highlycommitted bodies in local communities, especially rural municipalities, are the Volunteer FireBrigades (VFBs). The authors of the article undertook research to determine the extent to whichthe functioning of VFBs influences the shaping of the safety culture of local communities on theexample of the rural municipality of Tomaszów Mazowiecki. The article presents the results ofresearch carried out by means of a diagnostic survey among the inhabitants of this commune. It hasbeen shown that the activity of VFBs is very highly rated and has a significant impact on increasingthe sense of security of the local community. The local community appreciates the openness andinvolvement of the local VFB in various dimensions of functioning of the Tomaszów Mazowieckirural municipality. Aerosols cansignificantly influence the available resources of solar energy and thus the effectiveness of solarpanel performance. The work was an attempt to assess the influence of atmospheric aerosols onthe transmission of solar radiation in a selected region of Warsaw. The results of measurementsof specific meteorological elements and the concentration of contaminants come from themeteorological station of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in the years 2014-2019. Theanalysis of correlation and the MLP model path were used to carry out the analysis. The obtainedresults and relationships show that there is an influence of air contaminant concentrations onthe intensity of solar radiation and insolation. High variability of the given parameters was alsorevealed, depending on the range of horizontal visibility as well as relative air humidity. The valueof the correlation coefficient r=0.80 and comparison of the intensity of measured and predictedsolar radiation of the analysed parameters make it possible to claim that the developed MLP modelfacilitates good prediction of the intensity of solar radiation based on the implemented inputdata. It commences with a discussion of the remarkable proliferationof internet-connected devices, ranging from personal computers to mobile devices, and now tothe era of IoT and IoE. The paper illuminates the impact of IoT on network addresses, leading tothe depletion of IPv4 addresses and the necessity for address translation services. Subsequently,the article delves into the risks confronted by IoT systems, encompassing physical and digitalassaults, unauthorized access, system failures, as well as diverse forms of malicious software. Thesignificance of IoT security in industrial and agricultural systems is underscored. Finally, the paperconcludes by presenting strategies to combat these risks, including antivirus countermeasures,safeguards against Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks, and security considerations inIoT systems for agriculture. Moreover, the paper covers the emotional,cognitive, biological and behavioural spheres. The purpose of the research was to determine theextent to which soldiers deployed on missions experience negative and positive consequences oftraumatic experiences, what relationships exist between negative and positive consequences oftraumatic experience, and whether they are related to demographic variables.Results. The results of the authors’ research indicated that the surveyed soldiers deployed onoverseas missions, exposed to a traumatic event connected with the performance of their serviceduties, are affected by both negative and positive consequences of the events experienced.Conclusions. Moreover, actions aimed at building resilience proposed in many Europeandocuments concern primarily institutional structures, leaving citizens themselves somewhat onthe sidelines. According to the authors, this is clearly an unfavourable approach, because citizensalso need to be prepared for crises through educating and increasing their social awareness in thecontext of potential threats. The article presents selected aspects of survey research conducted ina group of academic youth (n=138). The survey comprised students of subjects related to securityin its broadest sense. The designed research tool – A questionnaire for examining students’ opinionson health safety during the pandemic – is intended to identify students’ opinions on selected aspectsof institutional activities, as well as personal beliefs, opinions and activities undertaken in thecontext of the current Sars-Cov-2 virus pandemic. The research results presented in the articlerefer to detailed research questions and answer questions about students’ preferred sources ofknowledge about threats, especially health threats. The research revealed a clear lack of trust in thecontent provided at university and a preference for the Internet as a source of knowledge, whichshould be considered a disturbing phenomenon, especially among people responsible for ensuringpublic safety in the future. Over the last fewdecades, terrorists have proven that they can source, develop and produce their own toxicchemicals. These substances are particularly dangerous for civilians who do not have access tothe protective equipment to be used in the event of contamination. It is impossible to guaranteefull public security in relation to the threats of chemical terrorism. Only trained, functioningand cooperating elements of state crisis response systems (mainly: medical rescue services,fire brigades, the police and the army) are capable of minimising the negative effects of theseattacks on the civilian population. This problem is becoming particularly important in view of theongoing Russian-Ukrainian war and the potential use of chemical weapons by the Russian army.An important problem impacting the extent of poisoning after a chemical attack is secondarycontamination of people and emergency equipment. The authors, through a detailed descriptionof the sources of secondary pollution, propose a number of solutions aimed at minimizing the riskof poisoning in people who are not directly exposed to chemical hazardous agents as a result ofsecondary contamination. This state of affairs means that thecommonly known and used methods of identifying environmental data of natural persons havebeen extended by technologically advanced methods of marking the environmental identity ofnatural persons on the basis of annotated data attributed to them. However, identification is notlimited to living natural persons, but is also required in certain situations to establish the identityof deceased individuals. The processing of data of deceased persons is not subject to rules set out inRegulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on theprotection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movementof such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (commonly referred to as: GDPR). Such data aredata about an individual. Despite the fact that in terms of content, data concerning a given personare at least identical to the personal data of a specific person during his or her lifetime, in the legalcontext their processing is carried out on the basis of provisions of other laws and regulations.
