French historical figures from the Middle Ages, the Modern era and the 19th century are sometimes associated with him. However, Charles de Gaulle was a man with a very broad cultural background and a passion for ancient history. This greatly influenced his thinking, his writing style and his perception of certain countries and peoples. Greco-Roman history and literature had a profound influence on him, and this article analyses this in greater detail.","PeriodicalId":508728,"journal":{"name":"Lyuboslovie","volume":"57 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139184379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It derives definitions of the concept of interdisciplinarity and distinguishes four areas of interdisciplinary operationalization - academic, school, professional and practical interdisciplinarity. We mention some principles of school interdisciplinarity and indicate several examples of the implementation of interdisciplinarity in the learning process. The article presents the prerequisites for interdisciplinarity in the learning process and its benefits and makes a short critical analysis of Bulgarian education in the context of interdisciplinarity in the learning process.","PeriodicalId":508728,"journal":{"name":"Lyuboslovie","volume":"52 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139184404","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to a lack of consistent practices in teaching writing in secondary education, school graduates encounter serious difficulties in their transition to academic discourse and writing in English required for some disciplines. The article discusses students’ attitudes and perceived challenges in writing, and reveals discrepancies between students and instructors’ perspectives. The discussion is mapped against the widely researched area of challenges in academic writing, and is based on analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, obtained from a small-scale survey with BA and MA students of English studies in a Bulgarian university, and focus-group interviews with their instructors. The findings of this interdisciplinary study provide insights into students’ challenges in academic writing. It also helps to raise students’ awareness of their own strengths and weaknesses, and identify areas for instructors’ intervention and remedial work.","PeriodicalId":508728,"journal":{"name":"Lyuboslovie","volume":"45 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139184611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The official reports on the competitions for private associate professor (1940) and full-time associate professor (1943) are kept in the Archives of Sofia University and have not been published until now. The third text - a \"motivating\" report to the Academic Council for opening a procedure for a private associate professor - was found in the annual report of the Vice-Chancellor of the University for 1938-1939 academic year. The reports reveal a strategy for cultural reproduction of models of functioning of Bulgarian scientific field, area with which P. Bitsili was engaged. In texts, along with careful interpretation of conclusions in candidates’ works, the professor presented his ideas on research method and concepts introduced in his medieval and literary texts. The reports are not reducible to their administrative nature, and approach the genre of literary or scientific review established in Bicilli's work.","PeriodicalId":508728,"journal":{"name":"Lyuboslovie","volume":"58 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139184499","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using the orchid as part of the iconography of Secession (the paintings of Al. Mucha, G. Analogies have always fascinated poets with the power of correspondences. Imagination and thought meet when creativity in nature and artistic creation are linked. Botany for example has undoubtedly inspired artists throughout the ages. Plant metaphors have always been an important part of the poetic imagination. Their diversity also stems from the evolution of the botanical science itself and from its relation to arts. The paper aims to trace some of the threads that link botany and art, and the mixing of codes in the practices of writers and researchers who are equally subject to the scientific discoveries and to the aesthetics of forms.","PeriodicalId":508728,"journal":{"name":"Lyuboslovie","volume":"59 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139184497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
