This research is a quantitative study with a descriptive design. The sampling technique used in this study is simple random sampling. The results of the study indicate that the percentage of toddlers with incomplete immunization status is still higher than those with complete immunization status. This is one of the reasons why mothers may not be able to monitor their children’s growth and development effectively. The study also found that there are still many toddlers with poor nutritional status compared to those with normal nutritional status.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":" 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141371762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this goal, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Reliability Centered Spares (RCS), and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) methods are used. Based on the research results, maintenance intervals were found for each component calculated using the RCM method, and the required amount of spares for one repair period was calculated using the RCS method. The research also calculated the EOQ to determine each component's reorder point, safety stock, optimal order quantity, and total cost. The EOQ calculation results were compared with the total cost before the calculation, and it was found that by using the integration of RCM, RCS, and EOQ, the company can minimize costs of Rp. 2,390,119,- for the 5 analyzed components. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of RCM, RCS, and EOQ methods can help companies optimize spare part inventory management.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"19 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141375613","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These emergent technologies offer enormous opportunities for the entrepreneurial firms interested in searching for a competing lead in business as well as pose challenges to the firms. The emergent technologies can go a long way in helping the organisations to tap the newly emerging markets with high potential. The present study aims at identifying the role of emergent technologies in influencing the survival and expansion of the business. The study has compiled the reviews of various scholars on the usage of the latest technologies by the firms to achieve a competitive edge. This is a descriptive study and makes use of the secondary data. The findings of the study suggest that technologies, such as AI, robotics and drones, 3D Printing, serverless computing, block chain and so forth have been most important technologies for the firms, as they have completely changed their traditional way of organisation functioning. These technologies enable effective and efficient decision-making and promote the growth and development of the firms. The study makes a value addition to the existing literature on the role of emergent and futuristic technologies in enabling the entrepreneurial firms to pave their way towards sustainable growth in the competitive business environment through ingenious business solutions.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"19 14","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141119633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The findings indicate that the likelihood of hidden child labour is greater when the child’s father is old, the child is not an infant, the household possesses positive operational assets and the child’s mother is part of a self-help group. Parental positive attitude towards their child’s education can also reduce the incidence of hidden child labour within the family. The evidence from the two-step treatment effect model further suggests that hidden child labour helped their family earn a higher family income than households without hidden child labour during the reference period.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"16 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141037699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this research was to determine the factors influencing the satisfaction of the faculty in the virtual learning environment and to focus on the responses of faculty members to the pandemic and their satisfaction levels due to challenges and benefits that faculty members faced during the initial phase of the COVID-19 outbreak. The six factors include flexibility, training, institutional factors, ease of use, technical factors and personal or psychological factors were utilised to understand the satisfaction levels of the instructors concerning the usage of the virtual instructional platforms. The hypothesis testing of the factors was conducted and different tests, that is, regression analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Cronbach alpha were utilised for analysing the data. Data were collected from 300 academic staff members from varied colleges and universities of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The results indicated that all the factors have a significant impact on the satisfaction levels of the academic staff members. Moreover, respondents opined about the challenges faced by the instructors in conducting online classes could be eased out via obtaining adequate training in batches from the academic institutions for the smooth conduct of the online sessions without any hindrances.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"41 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140763449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The biggest problem for accounting software users is unsuitable accounting packages and apps which has inadequate and unauthorised data. Many firms and organisations do not take correct decisions based on fundamentals due to a lack of information and use of the right accounting software. The question arises of how to select the right accounting software for the business and what are the factors influencing the decision-making process for business performance. We collected data from accounting software users from different firms/organisations and found that accounting software is used majorly in the age group of 20–40 years. SAP, Tally and Algol are the prime software used for recording purposes. Reliability, data quality and ease of use are considered while selecting the software. As per the survey, accounting software helps in increasing profitability, improves productivity and helps in reducing costs.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"75 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139171627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, along with trade liberalisation, areas such as liberalised domestic policies, strong infrastructure platforms and less stringent structural set-ups are gaining popularity among various newly negotiated trade agreements. With such support, trade blocs are not only contributing towards stimulating trade but also encouraging investment/foreign direct investment (FDI) flows (and stock) among member countries. Further, following the European Union trends, the Asian continent is emerging as a web of trade blocs. This study is an attempt to empirically examine the impact of three trading blocs (ASEAN/APTA/SAARC) on FDI flows and FDI stock over a period of 12 years via a panel regression framework augmented with gravity model specifications. The results for FDI stocks were found to be more captive. The results for ASEAN suggested that members of ASEAN are significantly attracting FDI stock both from intra-bloc and extra-bloc countries. Results for Asia Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA) found that APTA members are attracting FDI stocks from intra-bloc and extra-bloc economies, but the coefficient was not significant. However, the results suggest that SAARC countries still need to work towards attracting FDI stocks from Asian economies.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139182709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
