The researchers designed the research problem as: (1) How the process of teaching descriptive writing through Outdoor learning in the classroom is, and (2) How the Outdoor learning can improve the students’ writing skill. The researchers used mastery learning to analyze the score and the result in cycle I is 65.1%. It is still under average. So, the researchers continued the cycle II and the result of students’ score is 75.5%. The result is upper of average target that is 70 %. Finally, Outdoor class learning is effective in teaching English descriptive writing. Outdoor class learning is required in teaching writing especially descriptive writing. It can improve students’ writing skill on descriptive text.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"203 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139202752","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

AMA is a company operating in the goods distribution industry (cement-non-cement). A problem that is the focus of research at PT. AMA is a delay in delivery by the company's fleet. In this research, the method used is the integration of the Lean Six Sigma model which combines the philosophy of waste reduction from Lean and the high-level quality control approach from Six Sigma where with the help of research using Visual Stream Mapping to visualize the company's operational processes to identify in more depth the root of the problems that cause there is a delay in the delivery of goods. Which results in a total lead time of 770 minutes and value-added time of 420 minutes with an error rate of 22% and a Six Sigma value of 2.29. Proposed improvements to the new goods distribution operational system using the 5W-1H method analysis. The results of the research that has been carried out show that the integration of the Lean Six Sigma model significantly reduces waste, optimizes a distribution process and increases on-time delivery.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"929 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139203970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study employed a quasi-experimental method. The research sample consisted of forty-one students, with eighteen students serving as the experimental class and twenty-three students serving as the control group. The subjects of in this study were students VIII A and VIII B SMP Alam Al-Ghifari. The researcher applied ANCOVA to calculate the data. The teaching reading using the Predict, Organize, Rehearse, Practice, Evaluate With Kahoot on students' reading comprehension revealed that the value of F= 29.591. and 0.000 was displayed by the probability (P). Using the PORPE method With Kahoot, the class's Kahoot score was 77.529. The class using the conventional method yielded 58.117. This indicates that the PORPE method using Kahoot produced superior results with a 95% confidence level. It is possible to get the conclusion that the PORPE method combined with Kahoot worked well for teaching reading.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"47 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139201207","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From this research, it can be concluded that the village head is not a state agency/official, even though the village is given authority by law that the village head as the village leader is given free authority. In the event that the village head's regulation that results in a decision is considered contrary to the public interest or contrary to other laws and regulations above it, then it can be canceled by the Regent / mayor instead of being carried out by the village head, so the village head's decision cannot be said to be KTUN.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"336 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139203579","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Digital technologies have been heralded as a solution for SMEs, to increase their productivity and competitiveness. The paper tries to collate various important theories that advocate digital innovations and promote internationalisation in SMEs. The research aims to examine how researchers use existing or a combination of theories to investigate various aspects that augment the growth of SMEs. This paper reviews how multiple theories complement one another by adding rigour and usefulness to the emerging research in the field of entrepreneurship. As some of the relevant theories are collated and analysed in one place, they provide academicians with a platform for analysing various determinants in the growth of entrepreneurial activities in SMEs.","PeriodicalId":508249,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Development Research","volume":"24 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139249228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
