The article shows that the subjective position of future teachers is an integrator of mastering new instruments of professional activity and corresponding values, contributes to a conscious and reflexive approach to AI application in professional activity. The scientific novelty is in substantiating the logic of students’ mastering (future teachers) of professional values (“extraction” –“mastering” – “humanization”) in extended educational interactions (subject – content, subject – subjects, subject – AI). The results of the pedagogical university students’ questionnaire on risks of AI application in education are given as an illustration of ethical challenges. As a result, a model of AI risks in education has been defined that includes risks for an individual and risks for the community.","PeriodicalId":507532,"journal":{"name":"Pedagogy. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the need to determine the giftedness of a child in early preschool age on the basis of psychological and pedagogical factors of his development at an early stage. The author takes as the basis of the concept of giftedness the possibility of a child achieving higher, outstanding results in one or more different areas of activity compared to peers. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the identification of a number of age-related psychological and pedagogical factors that make it possible to establish the possibility of developing a child's giftedness in early preschool age. As a result of the research, the author formulated recommendations for the development of gifted children of younger preschool age, taking into account their individual characteristics and needs.","PeriodicalId":507532,"journal":{"name":"Pedagogy. The article examines the didactic potential of the discipline \"Foreign language\" in the formation of intercultural competence of students of non-linguistic faculties, the development of ethnic identity based on the integration of an ethnocultural component. The scientific novelty lies in the development of theoretical and practical principles, conclusions, and recommendations related to organizing the process of teaching foreign languages to students in a non-linguistic university in a multicultural region. This is based on the integration of an ethnocultural-oriented exercise system into the educational process. As a result of the study, it was found that practical classes in a foreign language in a non-linguistic university have significant opportunities in expanding the educational horizons of students of a non-linguistic university and preparing them for life in a multinational, multilingual, multicultural world. The integration of the ethno-cultural component into the educational process stimulates motivation to learn foreign languages, promotes awareness of the specifics and peculiarities of native culture as part of world culture, and the development of such important personality qualities for intercultural interaction as positive ethnic identity, empathy, and tolerance.","PeriodicalId":507532,"journal":{"name":"Pedagogy. The article addresses the comprehensive sociocultural study of the processes of historical genesis and modern development of the Russian non-state school as a pedagogical phenomenon to propose the periodization of its evolution. The scientific novelty lies in: the systematization of the historical and modern processes of private school education development, presented in the form of periodization, with the key sociocultural factor of influence, taken as its criterion; creating a holistic representation of the Russian private school genesis by combining in the proposed periodization all the sociocultural stages of its formation and development, starting from its inception in the 11th century and including the current period of its development; identifying the pedagogical specifics of the modern period of private schools development based on a theoretical analysis of the latest scientific and pedagogical publications devoted to their educational activities; introducing new information into the scientific discourse of pedagogical research, reflecting the analytics and statistics of modern private school education. As a result of the study, according to the major factor of sociocultural influence specified in the research, five periods of historical and pedagogical development of the Russian private school were defined, with all the stages of its historical genesis and modern development covered. The author has concluded that the complex socio-cultural influence of the society and state is the major factor determining the private school evolution and its pedagogical specifics in the modern period.","PeriodicalId":507532,"journal":{"name":"Pedagogy. The article examines the significance of soft skills, including self-management, awareness of time values. Correlational relationships between the last skill and others (readiness to communicate, critical thinking, emotional intelligence) are identified. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the identification of social-cognitive predictors of time values and finding correlations between this parameter and some soft skills of engineering students. As a result of the research, it is concluded that the more a student's awareness of the value of time is developed, the higher their emotional intelligence, as well as higher scores on the \"Resourcefulness, Initiative, and Entrepreneurship\" and \"Verbal Competence\" scales of the KOSKOM methodology by V. N. Kunitsyna, which enhances the communicative-personal potential of the individual. Additionally, the awareness of the value of time positively impacts the student's academic performance. In turn, developed critical thinking will more likely lead to a decrease in the considered parameter. The social-cognitive predictors of the development of awareness of the value of time in students include the following indicators: self-motivation, communicative-personal potential, as well as academic performance (direct relationship), understanding of situations, and emotional stability (inverse relationship).","PeriodicalId":507532,"journal":{"name":"Pedagogy. The article analyzes the various didactic possibilities of literary fairy tales when teaching a foreign language to middle-level students. The scientific novelty lies in the development and testing of a set of exercises based on the literary fairy tale “A Bear Called Paddington” by Michael Bond, involving students in the process of foreign language communication and ensuring the formation of elements of emotive competence. As a result of working with fiction, children develop not only language skills, but also emotional intelligence. Students learn how to determine the emotional nature of a text and later use emotionally charged vocabulary in monologue speech, which contributes to the formation of emotive competence.","PeriodicalId":507532,"journal":{"name":"Pedagogy.
