The form and content of historical and historiographic published works are revealed in the research: theses, articles, the monographs of the researchers of Karakalpakstan of the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. When writing the article, the main method was the method of historicism, which allowed to reveal the dynamics and transformation of the Karakalpakstan historical science in the context of socialist construction in Central Asia. The key concepts of the Karakalpakstan historiography have been systematized. This contributed to the spread of European social and natural science, culture and religion in Northeast China. At the same time, Russian emigrants used Western methodology and philosophy of science to study Chinese politics, economics, history, geography, religion, art and philosophy, contributing to the spread of Chinese studies in Russia and in the world. The author analyzes the activity of the Romanian Special Intelligence Service’s structures on the new Soviet-Romanian border established in early July 1940 after the annexation of Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina to the USSR. At Germany's proposal, Romania accepted to participate in the war against the USSR, in order to regain the territories.
