Developing a hub economy is essential to strengthen domestic and foreign connectivity and build a powerful country in transportation. This paper designs a two-stage analysis framework for the evaluation and impact study of the input-output efficiency of the hub economy based on the super SBM model, Malmquist model, and Tobit model. In the first stage, the Super SBM and Malmquist models are used to measure the static and dynamic efficiency of the hub economy. In the second stage, the Tobit model is used to analyze the factors influencing the efficiency of the hub economy. Among them, the explained variable in the second stage is the measurement result of technical efficiency in the first stage. The empirical results of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2012 to 2021 show that (1) the technical efficiency (TE), pure technical efficiency (PTE), and scale efficiency (SE) of China’s hub economy are 0.585, 0.740, and 0.820, respectively, which do not reach the effective state; (2) the technical efficiency change index (Effch), technical progress change index (Techch), and total factor productivity change index (Tfpch) of China’s hub economy are 0.994, 0.945, and 0.939, respectively, indicating that the corresponding efficiencies show a downward trend; and (3) industrial structure, innovation, and technology are significantly and positively correlated with the efficiency of the hub economy; policy and enterprises are significantly negatively correlated with the efficiency of the hub economy; and education does not correlate with the efficiency of the hub economy.
","PeriodicalId":50653,"journal":{"name":"Complexity","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.3,"publicationDate":"2024-02-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141096284","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The game is repeated and its evolution is presented by noninvertible map. The fixed points for this map are calculated and their stability conditions are discussed. One of those fixed points is Nash equilibrium, and the discussion shows that it can be unstable through flip and Neimark–Sacker bifurcation. The invariant manifold for the game’s map is analyzed. Furthermore, the case when both competing firms are independent is investigated. Due to unsymmetrical structure of the game’s map, global analysis gives rise to complicated basin of attraction for some attracting sets. The topological structure for these basins of attraction shows that escaping (infeasible) domain for some attracting sets becomes unconnected and the rise of holes is obtained. This confirms the existence of contact bifurcation.
","PeriodicalId":50653,"journal":{"name":"Complexity","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.3,"publicationDate":"2024-02-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139755829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We construct two kinds of approximations to nonconvex objective function; these two approximations correspond to the convex and concave behaviors of the objective function at the current point, which captures precisely the characteristic of the objective function. The penalty coefficients are increased only a finite number of times under the conditions of Slater constraint qualification and the boundedness of the constrained set, which limit the unnecessary penalty growth. The given algorithm converges to an approximate stationary point of the exact penalty function for constrained nonconvex optimization with weakly semismooth objective function. We also provide the results of some preliminary numerical testing to show the validity and efficiency of the proposed method.
","PeriodicalId":50653,"journal":{"name":"Complexity","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.3,"publicationDate":"2024-02-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139756151","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We establish the topological categories of the model’s fixed points. We show analytically that a fractional order prey-predator model supports both a Neimark–Sacker (NS) bifurcation and a period-doubling (PD) bifurcation under specific parametric circumstances. Using the central manifold and bifurcation theory, we provide evidence for NS and PD bifurcations. It has been discovered that the parameter values and the initial conditions have a significant influence on the dynamical behavior of the fractional order prey-predator model. Furthermore, two chaos management strategies are applied to eliminate the chaos that objectively exists in the model. Finally, numerical simulations are used to demonstrate complicated and chaotic behavior in order to support our theoretical and analytical discussions.
","PeriodicalId":50653,"journal":{"name":"Complexity","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.3,"publicationDate":"2024-02-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139679065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The renewal and upgrading of urban spatial structures have brought new pressure to urban commuting. Under the new form of the metropolitan area, the process of regional integration has accelerated, and long-distance extreme commuting has increased. New changes have taken place in the travel structure. This paper constructs a travel behavior selection model for office workers based on the cumulative prospect theory, introduces the value of commuting travel time into the generalized travel cost function, uses the weight function and the improved generalized travel cost function as the basis of the transportation mode selection model, defines the reference point of the generalized travel cost in the model, and selects the prospect with the largest cumulative prospect value as the optimal decision for travelers. Based on the “expected utility maximization theory” and the “cumulative prospect theory,” the commuter is simulated under four different travel scenarios to study the optimal traffic mode selection behavior. The results show that under the framework of expected utility theory, the travel mode choice behavior of commuters is not affected by travel scenarios, and the cumulative prospect theory is more suitable for the study of travel mode choice behavior. The construction of a transportation mode selection model with the value of commuting travel time as the core variable can help commuters to choose a reasonable transportation mode and provide a basis for the government and relevant departments to formulate traffic management plans and implement traffic congestion mitigation policies.
","PeriodicalId":50653,"journal":{"name":"Complexity","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.3,"publicationDate":"2024-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140484518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
