Based on a careful analysis of both historical origins of terrorism and events of today, the report concludes that terrorism is fundamentally political, a species of warfare — it is essential to state the obvious (and this has historically been less clear than one may think) — just as it is vital not to obfuscate the sinister under the mien of religion. This paper unpacks the tactics routinely em-ployed by terrorist organizations and the susceptibility of individual perpetrators; exposing religion as a mitigating circumstance of violent episodes that otherwise may not have taken place or would have been rationalized in a different narrative of social injustice. By relying on empirical evidence and the opinions of scholars, the study shows that it is of utmost importance to separate religion from terrorism since acts are often carried out by people who hide behind religious beliefs to engage in terrorism and gain popularity.","PeriodicalId":505985,"journal":{"name":"International Journal For Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"3 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141648114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of the study is to evaluate adherence to the theoretical spread among patients receiving curative irradiation.This was a prospective study conducted within the radiotherapy department at the National Oncology Institute of Rabat, including 285 patients receiving curative irradiation, regardless of tumor localization, from December 1, 2021, to February 28, 2022. Reasons for missed sessions were collected during end-of-treatment consultations.The median age of our patients was 47 years (range: 36-78 years), with 62% being female and 38% male. Among them, 47.3% were employed. Transportation methods varied; public transportation accounted for 59.2%, taxis for 9.1%, and only 8.7% used personal transportation. Travel time from home to the oncology institute was less than 20 minutes for 12.6% of patients, between 20 and 60 minutes for 75.7%, and over 60 minutes for 11.7%. The most common tumor sites were the breast in 32.2% of cases and the prostate in 23.5% of patients. The theoretical spread was adhered to in 29.8% of cases. In 56.4% of cases, the extension was between 1 and 5 days, and in 13.3% of cases, it was between 6 and 12 days.Causes of spread extension were diverse, with equipment breakdowns and maintenance accounting for 52.1% of cases, intercurrent illness for 10%, holidays for 16%, and treatment refusal for 0.6%.\u0000Evaluation of spread in radiotherapy is crucial as it represents a significant factor in local recurrence and indirectly affects distant progression, especially with prolonged treatment durations.","PeriodicalId":505985,"journal":{"name":"International Journal For Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"33 42","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141645436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Agriculture is the main and single largest source of livelihood in the state. About 70 percent of the total population is engaged in agriculture and allied activities. The Manipur Hill region comprises five districts, viz. Chandel, Churachandpur, Senapati, Tamenglong, and Ukhrul. It has a total population of 6, 51,156 which represents 35.45 percent of the state's total population. The hill districts occupy about 90 percent (20089 sq. km) of the total area of the state. The data about the area under shifting cultivation is not the same as it varies from year to year. Out of the total net shown area shifting cultivation covers 46%. Rice is the main staple food crop in this region. Shifting cultivation has both problems and prospects and impact on the forest and landscape in the environment. The average fallow period is 7-8 years as per the data collected through key informant interviews from the study area.","PeriodicalId":505985,"journal":{"name":"International Journal For Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"48 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141644597","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditional risk assessment methods often suffer from subjective biases and uncertainties inherent in expert evaluations. Our approach mitigates these limitations by aggregating expert opinions using fuzzy membership functions and assigning weights based on the similarity of individual evaluations to the group consensus. This converts qualitative judgments into quantitative measures, resulting in more precise and objective Risk Priority Numbers (RPNs). We validate the efficacy of our methodology through a case study involving a gearbox. The primary failure modes identified include gear tooth wear, misalignment, bearing failure, lubrication failure, and thermal overload. Our results indicate a significant improvement in condition monitoring accuracy, with calculated fuzzy RPN values closely aligning with historical data and expert feedback. Comparative analysis highlights the advantages of our methodology over conventional RPN calculations, particularly in reducing subjective biases and enhancing the reliability of risk assessments. Our findings demonstrate that this methodology can be effectively applied in various industrial settings, establishing a robust framework for mechanical system condition monitoring. Future research should explore integrating advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance the methodology's accuracy and efficiency.","PeriodicalId":505985,"journal":{"name":"International Journal For Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"8 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141648591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People with disabilities often depend on sign (gesture) languages for communication. This project aims to develop a model capable of recognizing and translating sign language alphabets from hand gestures into text and audio. The primary objective is to enhance communication between individuals with hearing impairments and the broader society. We assessed our model's performance using a publicly accessible Indian Sign Language (ISL) dataset. For image classification, we employed Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) with the Inception V3 architecture. Hand gestures are captured through webcams, and our model identifies the corresponding alphabet for each gesture. This project seeks to overcome current challenges in Sign Language Recognition and aims to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency.","PeriodicalId":505985,"journal":{"name":"International Journal For Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"33 25","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141645295","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because of their physical and/or mental disability they are also considered as the most vulnerable victims. Such children may also face challenges as “children in conflict with law”. Disabled children may be used for several criminal offences While such children may be used for theft etc, voices of such children may also be used without their knowledge or consent for committing several kinds of cybercrimes. Such children may also be engaged in sexual offences. Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), 2013 mentions about engagement of special educator /translator for assisting disabled child victims. Even though The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of children) Amendment Act, 2021 also mentions about engaging such translator etc for helping disabled children, the Act however does not provide much information about the tools and the process of assisting disabled children in conflict with law with the translators and special educators. It is hence to argue that the rights of the disabled children in conflict with law may not be properly acknowledged and executed due to absence of legal guidance regarding usage of specific forensic tools, legal lacunae concerning the assistance of the special interpreters/translators, proper interpretation of their behavior/ communication of such children and their guardians /care givers. As children in conflict with law they may need to arrange for their defense lawyers and interpreters. But in majority of cases such children may not access free legal aid and proper interpreters due to their socio-economic conditions and due to lack of awareness of their parents or caregivers. This paper suggests that better forensic tools for assisting such children, assessing their behavior, their testimony and evidences in trials are needed on the basis of the types of disability. This paper also suggests that the qualification of the interpreters and translators may be revised considering the need of contemporary digital era and misuse of disabled children for commission of crimes.","PeriodicalId":505985,"journal":{"name":"International Journal For Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"36 49","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141645527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
