For this study, different dosages of each additive were established, being 1%, 2%, 4%, 8%, and 15% for the steel filings and 3%, 6%, 9%, 13%, and 18% for the asphalt emulsion, obtaining favorable results in the subgrade in accordance with the CE.010 Urban Pavement standard. With the steel filings the CBR (California Bearing Ratio) had a linear increase whose maximum value was reached with the dosage of 15% increasing the CBR considerably by 189.47% above the CBR of the natural soil; on the other hand, with the asphalt emulsion a maximum increase in CBR was obtained with the dosage of 13% obtaining an increase of 236.84% and after that a decrease is observed with the addition of 18% of asphalt emulsion.","PeriodicalId":50565,"journal":{"name":"Dyna-Colombia","volume":"109 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134974378","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Específicamente se analiza una tribuna de estadio localizada en Colombia, con condiciones de suelo duro y blando. La estructura es importante, debido a su necesidad de mitigación del riesgo por sismo. Esta considerará un alto número de personas que deben evacuar de forma segura durante terremotos y después de estos, la estructura podría ser destinada a refugio humanitario. The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of mulch on soil temperature and soil moisture in a drip irrigated banana plantation in a Brazilian semiarid region. Six thermocouples and three soil moisture probes were used, with coconut coir as mulch. Daytime and nighttime surface temperatures were compared for two mulch densities (4 and 8 t ha-1) and bare soil. Soil temperature and moisture were measured at three depths (0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 m). The study was conducted from November 2014 to March 2015. Mulch had a buffer effect on soil temperature fluctuation. Drip irrigation management associated with mulch provided a uniform moisture profile close to field capacity.","PeriodicalId":50565,"journal":{"name":"Dyna-Colombia","volume":"141 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134974379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on public data from Kaggle with WHO standardized symptoms. A model was developed to detect COVID-19 positive cases using a simple machine learning model. The results of 4 loss functions and by SHAP values, were compared. Based on these results and on the indices of determined potential ecological risk, As and Pb were shown to be the heavy metal contaminants of most concern in surface sediments. The possible sources causing the concerning concentrations were then discussed.","PeriodicalId":50565,"journal":{"name":"Dyna-Colombia","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136345153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, the limited supply chain of traditional active ingredients such as ethanol (EtOH) has excessively increased the base formula cost, thus, novel platforms are needed to design new strategies for disinfectant development. In this work, we devise a novel quantification method of disinfectant turbidity and foam thickness based on photographic image analysis of disinfectant to optimize formula preparation, which improves critical physicochemical parameters related to colloidal stability. Next, the numerical data obtained from the pixel photograph's values were ordered by applying a 24 factorial design, considering each disinfectant ingredient, followed by an analysis of variance (ANOVA) and counter with contour and surface plots, respectively. Furthermore, our novel method was validated using a linear regression test, consequently outlining the method's error value. Our results suggest that the photographic image analysis supported by the statistical model correlated satisfactorily with the real physicochemical behavior of disinfectant, showing that the EtOH-H2O system plays a crucial role in turbidity and foam height control. In addition, we predicted by Minitab Optimizer Tool the physicochemical and aesthetic conditions of the disinfectant, having an error of 5%. Our current approach opens up a novel path to incorporate novel active ingredients for a rapid formulation and potentially scalable method to fabricate disinfectants.\u0000\u0000Keywords: image analysis, factorial design, disinfectant, foaming, active ingredients, optimization","PeriodicalId":50565,"journal":{"name":"Dyna-Colombia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48589703","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
