Electronic Banking (e-banking) has opened up a new channel of banking resulting in new capabilities for banks as intermediaries. The research questions that the study sought to answer include, the role of mobile banking on the financial performance in Kenyan commercial banks, the effect of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) on the financial performance of Kenyan commercial banks. \u0000Study Design: The research adopted descriptive design with quantitative data approaches. \u0000Place and Duration of Study: The target population was made up of 24 Kenyan Commercial Banks in the North Coast region of Kenya with a total of 240 employees. These banks are top tier lead brands listed in the stock exchange in the banking sector in Kenya between December 2022 and July 2023. \u0000Methodology: Strata of top management (section heads), middle managers (branch managers and super agents) and operational employees (lower cadre employees & credit officers) provided 72 respondents. Both secondary and primary data sources were used with the self-administered questionnaires containing both open and closed ended questions. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, correlation and multiple regression on a model of Y = 1.518+ 0.438 X1 + 0.136 X2 + ε. \u0000Results: The correlation of the independent variables and the dependent variable was high and positive at 0.697 and 0.573 for mobile banking and Electronic Funds Transfer on financial performance respectively. The value of the adjusted R squared was found to be 0.654. The value of F-statistic was found to be 44.919 and it p-value 0.000. The regression coefficient of mobile banking was found to be 0.438 with a t-statistic value of 6.126. \u0000The regression coefficient of EFT was found to be 0.136 with a t-statistic value of 6.182. \u0000Conclusion: There is a strong relationship between mobile banking, EFT and financial performance of commercial banks in Kenya. M-banking has significantly reduced operational costs while EFT has increased the number of daily transactions. The study established that the popularity of m-banking has is due to the intensity of technology penetration of mobile phones to bank customers which has resulted in the number of customers registering for m-banking services to increase in the last five years. Commercial banks have also experienced increased ROA and growth in market share with adoption of e-banking.

This research paper aimed at investigating how and whether the presence of independent directors on the board influences the relationship between ownership structure and corporate risk. The composition and independence of a company's board of directors play a crucial role in determining the level of corporate risk. This research delved into the intricate dynamics between these elements to understand how they influence corporate risk. Specifically, the research aimed to examine how board independence acts as a moderating factor on the relationship between ownership structure and corporate risk. By examining the Kenyan context, this study contributes to the broader understanding of corporate governance in emerging markets. The paper relied on Agency Theory, Mean Variance-Portfolio Theoryagency theory ,mean variance-portfolio theory, the stewardship theory and resource dependence theory (RDT). The research employed use of causal research design. The study population was sixty-four (64) firms listed at Nairobi Securities Exchange as at 31st December 2021. Secondary data sources included financial reports, annual reports, and surveys. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative techniques like mean, standard deviation and regression, with the help of statistical software STATA. The statistical results revealed significant moderating effect of board independence on the relationship between ownership structure and corporate risk. The findings have offered practical insights to corporate managers, investors, policymakers, and researchers, aiding them in making informed decisions and formulating effective governance and risk management strategies.

The monthly data sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin (2023) are used. The study reveals that linear approximation fails to adequately explain the non-linear effects of government spending on inflation, particularly in high-growth regimes financed by the central bank. It is suggested that in a low-growth regime where government spending is not financed by the central bank, avenue should be given to fiscal policy to stimulate and control inflation.

Since foreign direct investment (FDI) is an important factor in creating jobs and improving economic growth, it is considered a veritable tool for reducing the unemployment level. Although there have been studies on FDI and unemployment in literature, there is hardly any study on the impact of FDI on rural and urban unemployment. The study pursued threefold objectives which are to ascertain the impact of FDI on aggregate unemployment in Nigeria; to examine the impact of FDI on urban unemployment rate in Nigeria and to determine the impact of FDI on rural unemployment in Nigeria. The study utilized data from 1990 to 2020 as well as dynamic ordinary least squares (DOLS) which eliminates problems of endogeneity and serial correlation. The theoretical framework of the study is anchored on the Keynesian theory of unemployment. The result obtained showed that FDI has a significant impact on aggregate and urban unemployment in Nigeria. However, FDI did not impact significantly on rural unemployment in Nigeria. To effectively use FDI to reduce unemployment, the Nigerian government needs to create an enabling business environment, including favorable investment policies, streamlined regulatory procedures, and infrastructure development plans. Encouraging collaboration between foreign investors and local stakeholders, promoting technology transfer, and implementing strategies to enhance the skill levels of the local workforce are also important aspects to consider.

The study covers a period of ten years from 2012 to 2021 using data obtained from Machame ratios database. A sample size of sixty non-finance listed firms were used. Using Stata version 14, he OLS pooled regression, diagnostic and robustness tests are carried out. result shows that larger board size of big and small non-finance firms in Nigeria tend to reduce their capital structure. Similarly, independence of the board of directors of big non-finance firms in Nigeria tend to reduce their capital structure. However, the board independence of smaller non-finance firms tends to increase their debt to asset ratio insignificantly. Again, the outcome shows that having a female director on a large board significantly decreases the level of leverage of the smaller firms in the sample. The study also shows that having a female director on an independent board significantly increases the debt-to-asset ratio of the bigger firms in the sample. The study recommends at least one female director on a large board, increase in firms share capital and a review of the policies on female board members.

The research focuses on consumers who have purchased handbags or shoes from the Charles & Keith brand in Yogyakarta. The study adopts a quantitative approach, collecting data through an online questionnaire distributed to 210 respondents using Google Forms. Non-probability sampling, specifically purposive sampling, is employed for sample selection. The collected data is analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software version 4.0. The results indicate that almost all hypotheses are accepted, except for the relationship between discount prices and perceived quality. Price discounts intended to attract potential customers do not influence the perceived quality. Theoretically, this research enriches the literature on discount prices’ impact on consumer perceptions. The findings are expected to serve as a foundation for marketing managers in formulating marketing strategies, particularly in addressing factors related to product quality, product value, and discount prices in the target consumer's perception.

According to this project paper, money supply M2 has negative relationship with the performance of mutual funds in the financial market of Bangladesh. Because, higher level of money supply in the market weaken the monetary value of taka which makes the market more vulnerable. And this vulnerable market leads a negative impact on the whole financial market as well as mutual fund industry. Interest rates have positive relationship with the performance of mutual funds in the financial market of Bangladesh because higher level of interest rate increases the tendency of savings in the ultimate consumers and they try to consume less and save more. This savings is going to be invested in the capital market as well as in mutual fund industry which leads the market to a better position for the fund managers. Inflation rates have negative relationship with the performance of mutual funds in the financial market of Bangladesh as the higher level of inflation make the price of commodities higher and the monetary price of the taka lower. This tendency of making the less value of money, most of the investors want to withdraw their investment from the market which leads a downturn in the financial market as well as in the mutual fund industry. At the end, exchange rates have positive relationship with the performance of mutual funds as the higher level of exchange rate makes the Bangladeshi taka more powerful in the international market.

This study aims to explore the financial empowerment of indigenous women, evaluating the complex relationship between economic justice programmes and sustainable approaches to achieve inclusive development. In this context, the research aims to explore the many aspects of financial empowerment programmes specifically designed for tribal women. Its goal is to contribute to the continuing discussion on promoting economic equality and long-term social change. This inquiry aims to examine the complex processes of financial inclusion and highlight the possibility for enabling indigenous women to achieve economic justice. By doing so, it envisions a future that is more egalitarian and resilient for these communities. In the backdrop of India's developmental discourse, this study delves into the imperative realm of financial empowerment for tribal women. Focused on unravelling the intricate relationship between economic justice initiatives and sustainable pathways toward inclusive development, our research aims to shed light on the challenges hindering the financial autonomy of indigenous women. Our investigation centers on the nuanced landscape of financial empowerment programs tailored specifically for tribal women, seeking to contribute substantively to the ongoing dialogue on economic equality and enduring societal transformation. By navigating the complexities of financial inclusion processes, our inquiry envisions a future where indigenous women not only achieve economic justice but also actively participate in reshaping a more equitable and resilient society. It is identified that to demolish patriarchal systems, there are need to expand educational possibilities, close income gaps, promote financial literacy, and combat prejudiced cultural viewpoints. Further, targeted interventions include microfinance programs, village savings and loans, direct cash transfers, and government schemes. Collective efforts from governmental, non-governmental, and community stakeholders are needed to create a more egalitarian society that empowers tribal women economically, socially, psychologically, and politically
