The ever-increasing range of applications and widespread access to drones generates the risk of collisions, which greatly affects the safety of people, the environment and infrastructure elements. The aim of this study was to determine reliability for two variants of operations scenarios for different levels of pilot experience and to compare them. The research authors claim that it is possible to detect leaks in the suction line, causing aeration of the hydraulic fluid, by recording and analyzing the pressure pulsation in the positive displacement pump discharge line. The measurements were performed for six leakage values, five discharge pressure settings and under constant hydraulic fluid temperature. The obtained results were analyzed in the time and frequency domains. For this purpose, it uses tools which are referred to as the technological pillars of Industry 4.0. Simultaneously with the changes in the field of manufacturing, the interdisciplinary cooperation between production and machine maintenance planning is developing. Different types of predictive maintenance models are being developed in order to ensure the good condition of the machines, optimize maintenance costs and minimize machine downtime. The article presents the existing types of predictive maintenance and selected methods of machine diagnostics that can be used to analyze machines operating parameters. A hybrid model of predictive maintenance was developed and described. The proposed model is based on diagnostic data, historical data on failures and mathematical models. Thanks to a suitably designed algorithm, a system of this kind can enable the detection of a flame based on its characteristics such as colour or shape, which were not previously used in classical fire detection systems. Video-based detection systems, due to their early stage of development in the fire protection market, are not yet a certified, fully tested method for early fire detection. This paper focuses on the analysis of possible causes of false alarms occurring in video-based fire detection systems in relation to classical Fire Alarm Systems (FAS). An alternative method of space transport is launching payloads into Earth's orbit using air-rocket (air-assisted) systems. The concept of mixed space transport involves launching a space rocket with a payload from an aircraft or other reusable platform-carrier at a specific altitude above the Earth's surface. The air-rocket system enables the launch of small satellites while reducing ground infrastructure and costs. Such a method seems promising in the context of relatively cheap, mobile and responsive small payload launch systems. It is an interesting proposition and beneficial especially for countries without convenient conditions to build their own spaceport. The paper analyses the fundamental requirements for the design of rockets used in this type of system and performs preliminary calculations of a conceptual two- and three-stage rocket capable of lifting a payload of 10 kg into a zero-inclination orbit at an altitude of 500 km. The analysis of the obtained strategies was performed by simulation, considering changes to the input values. The costs and numbers of maintenance activities were summarized depending on the individual values, and the total costs of the strategies obtained from the model were compared with strategies assuming renewal every shorter and longer period. This work aims to provide a probabilistic investigation of the mechanical response of composite high-pressure hydrogen storage tanks using the Monte Carlo Simulation method. A performance function based on the circumferential model of composite pressure cylinders is employed with five random design variables. According to the results, the internal pressure and the helical layer thickness are the foremost parameters significantly impacting the structural reliability of the tank, whereas, the helical layer thickness and winding angles have a minor influence. In addition, high coefficients of variation values cause the contraction of the safety margin potentially leading to the failure of the composite hydrogen high-pressure tank.
