Since many excellent fragrances are organic and have relatively small molecular weights, they lack thermal stability. As a result, a rapid and accurate method has been developed for simultaneous determination of maltol and ethyl maltol by reaction with iron(III) in sulfuric acid solution. This reaction was the basis for an indirect spectrophotometric method, which followed the development of the pink ferroin product (?max = 520 nm). It appears that ethyl maltol and maltol follow Beer's law at concentrations of 0.5–20.0 mg/L according to the optimized method. According to the alternative standard method, the LOD values for maltol and ethyl maltol are 0.2 mg/L and 0.3 mg/L, respectively. Commercial food samples were successfully analyzed using the proposed methods. A study was conducted to determine how different storage conditions affected the concentrations of maltol and ethyl maltol. High temperature and sunlight lead to decomposition of these two flavor enhancer concentrations more than 10%.","PeriodicalId":499708,"journal":{"name":"International journal of membrane science and technology","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136232706","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, many researchers have been interested in designing the buildings to get the benefit from daylight inside, which saves a lot of building consumption for artificial lighting, which gives visual and thermal comfort and also contributes to reducing costs. The complex refractive index of glass is a very crucial concept because it determines not only how much light is reflected and transmitted, but also its angle of refraction in glass. The optical constants of glass material are very useful for determining its radiative properties, as well as for selecting the appropriate thin-film coatings on a glass substrate. The objective of this study is to calculate the real part (n) and the imaginary part (k) of the complex refractive index of a clear glass material using a simple method based on the reflectivity and transmissivity measurements. In this study, the parts n and k are derived from the equations of the reflectivity at near zero incidence and transmissivity at normal incidence by using Shimadzu IR-70 Spectrophotometer and Cary 5E Spectrophotometer apparatuses. The real and the imaginary parts of the complex refractive index of the glass sample obtained in the present study are in very good agreement with Rubin’s data. Although, a direct comparison between different samples is not possible, due to the difference in manufacturing process and material composition.","PeriodicalId":499708,"journal":{"name":"International journal of membrane science and technology","volume":"11 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136232146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic have significantly affected Vietnam's economic growth in general and export activities in particular. Since joining the WTO, Vietnam's exports have grown tremendously and become an essential driver of economic growth. However, due to the high openness of the economy, Vietnam's exports are highly dependent on impacts from external shocks with global influence, especially the Covid-19 pandemic. The following research paper uses a mixed regression model to analyze and assess the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Vietnam's export activities through such contents as export turnover, export product, export market, and exporters.","PeriodicalId":499708,"journal":{"name":"International journal of membrane science and technology","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136232675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The balance between quality of life and work brings some sub-dimensions between life outside the workplace and work itself. Most of the investigated studies address the impact of work on life and the impact of life on the job. This analysis is important, as it contributes to several aspects, such as, for example, to increase the level of activity or participation. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional, qualitative, explanatory, and descriptive study. The sample was 61 nursing professionals (RNs) who held board positions, heads of department, managers, unit areas coordinators or supervisors, executive boards and/or departments, and 134 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) at a hospital with a direct public administration in Brazil. The data collection was based on The Quality of Working Life Questionnaire (QWLQ-brief) and the Scale of Evaluation of the Managerial Style (SEMS) forwarded electronically. Results: The indices considered satisfactory begin from 55 points. The QWLQ-brief average was 46,39% (neutral position), and the physical/health aspects were considered unsatisfactory (mean 44,89%; 44, 13%).Conclusion: The conclusion showed relational possibilities between the Nurse-in-chief managerial style and the perception of the Quality of Working Life. The perception of the neutral life quality and some unsatisfactory sub-dimensions was related to the managerial style based on tasks.","PeriodicalId":499708,"journal":{"name":"International journal of membrane science and technology","volume":"3 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136316930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study evaluated seedling stages’ salt tolerance in nutrient solution using three electrical conductivity (EC) salt concentrations of 9.38, 12.50, and 15.63 dS/m with fifteen traditional rice varieties. Five traditional salt-tolerant rice varieties at the seedling stage (level 5) at 15.63 dS/m were selected. Furthermore, we evaluated salt tolerance at EC 9.38, 12.50, and 15.63 dS/m in the vegetative and reproductive stages of seven rice varieties (a tolerant variety, Doc Phung, a sensitive variety, IR28, and five rice salt-tolerant varieties were selected at seedling stage). This study showed that an increase in EC concentrations in the soil significantly reduced plant height, panicle/plant, panicle length, a 1000 grain weight, and yield. The addition of 9.38 dS/m EC can distinguish tolerance and sensitive genotypes. The grain yield of sensitive genotypes decreased by 90%–100% at 9.38 dS/m EC, whereas the tolerant genotypes showed <60% in grain yield reduction. Selected traditional rice varieties of Nang Cha Ran, Nep Than, Trang Lun, Gie Hanh, and Nang Tich were salt tolerant at their seedling stage and vegetative and reproductive stages were at EC 9.38 dS/m.","PeriodicalId":499708,"journal":{"name":"International journal of membrane science and technology","volume":"4 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136317244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The characteristics of the created system were significantly affected by the drug:polymer ratio. It was discovered that microsponges made for prolonged release formulation were effective, and clotrimazole microsponges with gel produced results that were equivalent. Microsponge gel compositions that were prepared beforehand showed regulated medication release. It has been shown that microsponges can transport medications for topical antifungal therapy successfully. Given how well the formulations kept the medication on the skin, it appears that microsponge gel is a more effective drug delivery mechanism than ordinary gel.","PeriodicalId":499708,"journal":{"name":"International journal of membrane science and technology","volume":"317 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134906872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then the study dealt with the issue of civil liability for publishing via social media sites in the Jordanian law: the concept of civil liability, whether contractual or tort, the provisions of this responsibility, and then the pillars of civil liability (error, damage, and causal relationship). This study discussed the legal protection for electronic publishing and the compensation due, with the obligation to pay compensation and the consequences of it. The study concluded that it is necessary to conclude an international agreement that regulates the relationship to solve the problems that occur when the actual location of the data that led to electronic violations is in one country and the victim is in another. The Jordanian legislator is responsible for clearly and explicitly regulating the procedures affecting the sanctity of private life, by enacting a law regulating electronic publishing through social media sites. The law must regulate the amount of fair compensation commensurate with the electronic damage","PeriodicalId":499708,"journal":{"name":"International journal of membrane science and technology","volume":"114 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134907059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The executive arm of the government includes elected political leaders and technocrats. Using the case of the agricultural sector, this paper examines the role of technocrats and elected leadership in investment choices. This paper uses, in support of quantitative findings, qualitative evidence from a case study designed in the Department of Animal Health and Livestock Development in Malawi. The variables were used to analyze the quantitative data, and content analysis was used for qualitative data. The finding reveals that seniority, authority, political affiliation, and technical expertise of civil servant leadership significantly influence public investment choices in the livestock sector in Malawi. Both elected political executives and technocrats had self-interests in delivering goods with swift and visible returns. The study concludes that Malawi's public sector investment arena is a ‘war zone’ with various actors vying for dominance. The paper recommends a critical review of the reforms in the livestock sector to bring the investment culture on course in Malawi. More studies are needed to resolve issues around privatization models of services in the livestock sector and the role of government and transactional actors.","PeriodicalId":499708,"journal":{"name":"International journal of membrane science and technology","volume":"134 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134907406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
