Literature studies reveal many functional and bioactive compounds, such as alkaloids, phenolics, coumarins, flavonoids, terpenoids, and other antioxidants. Based on its chemical content, Aegle marmelos could be an immunomodulatory agent because it can stimulate the production of antibodies against foreign antigens, increasing IgM and IgG. This study aims to determine the effect of Aegle marmelos filtrate on IgM and IgG titers in Rattus norvergicus induced (sheep red blood cells) SRBC 2%. In this study, 30 rats were divided into five groups: negative control received standard diets, positive control received SRBC 2% injection, P1 received SRBC 2% + Aegle marmelos filtrate 25%, P2 received SRBC 2% + Aegle marmelos filtrate 50%, and P3 received SRBC 2% + Aegle marmelos filtrate 75%. The results showed that administration of Aegle marmelos filtrate could increase IgM titers at the highest dose of 75%, although it was not statistically significant. Meanwhile, Aegle marmelos filtrate does not affect IgG titers in SRBC 2% compared to treatment groups.","PeriodicalId":497610,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kesehatan (e-journal)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135039515","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

COVID-19 causes increased levels of proinflammatory cytokines, so CRP and d-dimer levels in COVID-19 patients tend to increase. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels and D-dimer levels in COVID-19 patients. This research method is analytic observational by using cross-sectional secondary data. The population of this study were all COVID-19 inpatients at Budhi Asih Hospital, East Jakarta, with a sample of 338 patients and were taken by random sampling. The results of this study found that female and male COVID-19 patients had the same risk of being infected with female patients as much as 52,7% and male patients amounting to 47,3%. Most COVID-19 patients occurred at the age of ≥60 years, namely 32,2%. All patients, which is 100% patients had high CRP levels, with a mean of 76,06 mg/L. As for D-dimer levels, 47,9% of patients had normal D-dimer levels and 52,1% had high D-dimer levels with an average of 721,48 ng/mL. The results of the Spearman's correlation test obtained a p value = 0,000, so it can be seen that there is a correlation between C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels and D-dimer levels in COVID-19 patients with a correlation strength of 0,300 (medium). An increase in CRP levels followed by an increase in D-dimer levels but evaluation of other laboratory examination parameters also needs to be considered.","PeriodicalId":497610,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kesehatan (e-journal)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135039530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the problem is resistance and even multi-resistance in bacteria. Preventive efforts are needed to anticipate, one of which is using soursop leaf extract scrub herbal products which contain gamma oryzanol compounds, flavonoids, phenols, and tannins as antimicrobials. This research is a pure experiment with one group pretest-posttest control design and positive and negative controls. The study aims to analyse the effectiveness of soursop leaf extract scrub products as antimicrobials on the skin of the respondents' arms before and after treatment. Antimicrobial counting uses the total plate count (TPC) method, with 118 respondents in-vivo, where the scrub is applied to the respondent's arm, measuring 10cm x 10cm for 10 minutes. The results of the data normality test with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test obtained non-normally distributed data. The trial continued with a non-parametric test in the Wilcoxon test to get a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the soursop leaf extract scrub effectively reduces total bacteria count. The research may be helpful for the community in efforts to prevent skin infections caused by bacteria, and researchers need to conduct antibacterial tests for scrubs without soursop leaf extract as a comparison and conduct further tests such as safety tests, expiration periods and aesthetic tests on soursop leaf extract scrub products.","PeriodicalId":497610,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kesehatan (e-journal)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135295702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Telemental health (TMH) exists as a form of adaptation toward technological developments that are expected to help address challenges in mental health services. There is a continuous increase in the number of Generation Z who suffer mental health problems. Meanwhile, the coverage of mental health services is still low even though the convenience of TMH has supported it. This study aims to analyse the factors that influence the utilisation of TMH among Generation Z based on Andersen's theory. This quantitative research collected 180 respondents and then analysed them using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate. Results showed a relationship between the needs factor, access to TMH, health worker support, and residence on the use of TMH. While the variables that aren't related are gender, education, occupation, marital status, and knowledge. The needs factor dominates the effect of using TMH among Generation Z in Indonesia, where a change in it can affect 15 times the utilisation of TMH. To develop TMH into sustainable services, providers can create the right strategy. It’s recommended to Generation Z to avoid self-diagnosis accompanied by enriching knowledge about maintaining mental health.","PeriodicalId":497610,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kesehatan (e-journal)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135722176","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
