At this Karo Ceremony, the Tengger people commemorate Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa (God) who created two types of human beings (Karo), namely men and women as their ancestors. In a series of rituals performed by many men, such as the sodoran and the tip dance. Researchers investigated how the communication patterns of men and women in the Karo tradition of Jetak Village. This study used a qualitative method by trying to study deeply about the perspective of male and female communication patterns in the karo tradition of the tengger tribe, Jetak village. The results of this study indicate that the communication process that occurs between men and women in the karo tradition is a model of a divided, balanced communication pattern. Where the communication that occurs is well established and dynamic. In this pattern of communication, men and women have different areas of power. Men and women are seen as experts in different fields. During the communication process, there are different forms of conversation between men and women of the Tengger tribe. These differences can be distinguished in the form of feminine and masculine language styles. The women of the Tengger tribe will show themselves as responsive individuals and their goal is none other than to maintain friendly relations with each other, while their men will speak with clear objectives, not to beat around the bush. Movies can be used as a medium of communication from the filmmaker to convey messages in the form of ideas, thoughts or concerns about a particular matter. Director Bambang Kuntara Murti's from film call “Aum!” tells the story of the challenges experienced by independent filmmakers who went through the film production process during the “Orde Baru” era. This research uses a qualitative approach with the semiotic method of Roland Barthes, aiming to see how nationalism and freedom of speech during the early reformation period in the movie entitled “Aum!”. The results of this study show the efforts of the characters in the film, which is how activists tried to convey criticism of the new order government through a work of a film. The films they made were a form of the struggle of young people at that time to convey their voices and criticize the policies of the authorities. Movies became a medium to convey resistance to oppressive rulers. Various problems and individual efforts in overcoming conflicts depicted in the drama 18 Again are presented realistically and added a touch of fantasy to support the storyline and the goals of the drama. The phenomenon described is about a person's dreams and wishes if he could return to his youth to make his dreams come true. The storyline is made without leaving the main topic in this drama, namely the problems caused by early marriage and the efforts made by each individual in solving existing conflicts. Even though he is played with two different identities, the characterization in this drama still refers to one character, namely Hong Dae Young. This study uses a qualitative method with John Fiske's semiotic analysis which uses 3 levels of coding, namely the level of reality, the level of representation, and the level of ideology. The conflict management strategy of the Thomas and Kilmann method is also used as a reference and reference for researchers to analyze what and how are the forms of early marriage conflict resolution in the Korean drama 18 Again. After conducting the analysis, the researcher found that there is a form of conflict resolution in early married life which is represented in the Korean drama 18 Again, namely the existence of self-awareness from each individual about the conflict that occurs, then the individual resolves the conflict with related parties in a win-win manner without injuring or detrimental to any party. This study aims to explore the form of emotional closeness that is formed between parents and children in the film ‘Pulang’, the theme of the film is family conflict which focuses on Pras (Ringgo Agus) and Rindu (Ziva Magnolya) during their trip to Jogjakarta. By using John Fiske's semiotic analysis with its three levels, the research results can be presented in the form of a representation of emotional closeness at the level of reality which is confirmed through dynamic interactions, freedom of expression and gestures as a form of care and affection. The level representation highlighted in the camera technique (shots) has shown signs at the level of reality as evidenced by the interactions between the characters. The ideological level found is Liberalism which is applied in parenting, education and early child development by parents in influencing emotional closeness.
