The first step includes identifying the operational malpractices, the second step includes providing a consultation on how to resolve the current issues faced by the college. The college will be named under the pseudonym or alias “Alpha College” and the orthonym will not be mentioned throughout the research to protect the organization’s identity. Methodology Interviews were conducted with students. 9 students are chosen to provide primary data regarding the issues they encountered throughout their program. Implications The recommendations are proposed to solve malpractices in the field of operations management only. Findings We found out that Alpha college didn’t prioritize their capacity management function causing loss of IT resources and disturbance to their students as they used the partner college’s applications. Secondly, the college failed to forecast the programs that will be demanded in the future and ended up partnering with subpar universities. Quality wasn’t delivered to their students throughout the program. Originality: This research applies the operations management functions in the higher education scope, specifically in distance learning centers that offer undergraduate and post graduate education. To our knowledge this is the first study in the region that has examined this issue to ascertain the effectiveness of this approach.","PeriodicalId":491475,"journal":{"name":"Emirati Journal of Business Economics & Social Studies","volume":"24 13","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134991494","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With ESG being a growing field ever since increased attention has been paid to social and environmental issues specifically, assessing the way markets perceive enforcements to adopt these practices is a valuable way to gain insight into whether they will eventually include them in their business models or not. The study uses data from Yahoo Finance and looks at 6 different regulations to assess this market reaction by developing python models to calculate the respective abnormal returns. The results show how these reactions can be generally positive or negative, and are heavily dependent on the specific regulation, the region, as well as the institution analyzed – public firms or banks. The broader implications of this paper lie in its expandability and the way further studies can be conducted with more firms and regulations to see more distinct factors emerge.","PeriodicalId":491475,"journal":{"name":"Emirati Journal of Business Economics & Social Studies","volume":"16 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136157571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In terms of finances, the business sector is aware of the importance of AI in healthcare. Physician entrepreneurship is a familiar idea that has developed over time. Doctors who are also entrepreneurs have broadened their areas of expertise and taken on more primary clinical duties. This study aims to assess the knowledge, competency, adaptability, and sustainability of artificial intelligence (AI) technology among physician entrepreneurs in GCC nations. This study will focus on how AI technology is used in the healthcare industry.A sample of 220 respondents will be used in this study's survey. Out of the 220 participants, 152 males (69.09%) and68 females (30.9%) were included in the study. Based on the results of the structural equation model, competence, adaptability, and sustainability contribute to artificial intelligence and have a significant positive impact. After analyzing the interview responses, it is clear that incorporating AI into a company demands a considerable investment in employees, technology, and software. This study focused on how well physician entrepreneurs understand, use, and maintain artificial intelligence regarding knowledge, competency, adaptability, and sustainability. However, comparative research was conducted only for developed countries with similar or different settings.","PeriodicalId":491475,"journal":{"name":"Emirati Journal of Business Economics & Social Studies","volume":"55 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136157569","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are also instances where the fraudulent employer posts a job online and expects people to apply to these postings. These fraudulent employers impend job seekers' privacy, spawns fake job offers, and wanes. We perceived that most of the Online Recruitment Fraud (ORF) has matching features. Though the user cannot categorize them, we propose using various predictive models like Support Vector Machine (SVM), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Random Forest, Naïve Bayes, or Logistics Regression to detect them effortlessly. Dataset with 17780 job postings was downloaded from Kaggle to identify which proposed model best predicts the fraudulent job posting. The dataset includes 14 features to determine whether online job posting is fraudulent or non-fraudulent. 70% of these job postings train the model, and the remaining 30% test the model's efficiency. The outcomes of each model are predicted using four evaluation metrics – Classification Accuracy (CA), Precision, Recall and F-1 score. The research found its suitability from two sides: the websites can identify fake jobs before being published, and job seekers are sheltered from fraudulent job postings.","PeriodicalId":491475,"journal":{"name":"Emirati Journal of Business Economics & Social Studies","volume":"41 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135412627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It relates to individual development for organizational growth. Due to internationalization and technological advances, it is linked to the community, environmental, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agendas. Now, organizations realize the importance of creating products and services in a highly sustainable way. In this background, a study on HRD with a societal perspective is relevant for any firm’s sustainability. It helps to identify the confronts organizations face in addressing diversity and ethical awareness. Accordingly, this study is focused on the UAE among different industrial sectors with the help of a survey. It consists of both qualitative and quantitative analysis using SPSS 24.0. The outcome stressed the relationship between independent variables and the significance of sustainable HRD at the community level in shaping the well-being of the entire society. Hence, this study confirms that organizations must be vigilant in their actions and related activities regarding the welfare of stakeholders and the entire world. This issue not only reduces customer pleasure, but it also causes the company to lose money. For consumer losses, this study proposes a queue model of customer queuing behavior. The goal is to reduce customer losses, hence researchers are looking at queue setup and optimization in random service systems. We developed three queuing models: MG1, GM1, and GG1 for estimating service quality control. We investigate queuing systems for predicting replies for service quality control based on queue models of customer behavior. The study found that the MG1 queue model yields the best service quality, however the GM1 and GG1 results are relatively close behind.","PeriodicalId":491475,"journal":{"name":"Emirati Journal of Business Economics & Social Studies","volume":"40 8","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135412132","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It sets the challenge of problematizing the Nationalists’ cultural agenda whose insistence on a fetishized continuity with the precolonial history has eclipsed the disruptive effects of the colonial configurations and symbolic struggles of groups who were cast aside though they were at the center of anti-colonial resistance. Telling Morocco’s colonial history from a third perspective would bring hitherto neglected and silenced actors, in our case the Berber tribal groups under the spotlight, and draw together both elite and not elite actors into the scope of analysis. The premise behind analyzing the Berber oral poetry which was composed and sung on the eve of colonial expansion, is to understand the standpoint of these “peripheral groups” over matters of political allegiance and Jihad, away from the totalizing narratives of the official historiography. These artistic outlets are primary sources of a significant importance because they provide unexplored details of how Berber groups endured living at the center of the struggle between the colonial administration and the Arabophone nationalist elite. They demonstrate also the complex adjustments and inter/ intra- tribal negotiations these groups have to go through to reconfigure those mechanisms of power that sought to annihilate their subjectivities as agents of change","PeriodicalId":491475,"journal":{"name":"Emirati Journal of Business Economics & Social Studies","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135406045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sustainable business practices are becoming more of a focal point for both suppliers and consumers as the number of international visitors continues to rise. Travelers and businesses are shifting their perspectives on what is necessary in the future and the roles hotels should play in meeting those needs. The hotels are not intended to be tourist destinations. In contrast, visitors choose to stay in hotels because they provide comfortable accommodations and are conveniently located near the sights and activities they came to see. Thus, hotel owners must engage in environmentally friendly procedures in order to ensure their establishments remain open. This study examines how sustainable hospitality practices affect consumer happiness, loyalty, and willingness to choose destinations and places. The study explored that the eco-friendly practices in the hospitality industry increase customer happiness, the willingness to pay a premium for sustainable goods and services and the sustainable hospitality supply chain management boost consumer happiness. The research study established the association between activities in the social dimension and customer loyalty.","PeriodicalId":491475,"journal":{"name":"Emirati Journal of Business Economics & Social Studies","volume":"13 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135405148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
