This title was understood in different ways and many efforts were made to defend this Virgin Mary’s privilege. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries the title appeared in the teaching of popes. It is not surprising that Saint Maximilian, the great worshiper of Our Lady the Immaculate also called Her Mediatrix of All Graces. Initially teaching the traditional science relating to that title and then creating a new way of proving that privilege.Beginning the construction of the church, mentions St. Maximilian, that it is in honor of Mary Immaculate. Even after his death and after returning to the work on the basilica, interrupted by the Second World War, there was no mention of the title of Mediatrix of All Graces. On the basis of the archives, it can be concluded that only a few months before the consecration, probably thanks to the efforts of monastic father Vitalis Jaskiewicz, it was decided that the church would be called the Mediatrix of All Graces. It is the parish which forms the center of religious, liturgical, and sacramental life for the Christian.This article provides a source knowledge on various aspects of sacramental service and is also a reflection on this problem.The article presents the sacraments, which form the center of religious life and are the source of initiation and deepening in the Faith, uniting one to Christ and to the whole community, and especially for Polish immigrants, a bond which spiritually connects them to their homeland. For that reason, the whole sacramental life of the Polish community in Hamburg is presented here, taking into account concrete numerical data and also the meaning of these sacred signs in the lives of the faithful. The sacraments, although they sanctify the most important moments of human life and are irreplaceable, do not fulfill (?) all the spiritual needs of the People of God. The same Holy Spirit continues to act in the Church, sanctifying the Mystical Body of Christ. The first Paraclete is Jesus Christ himself, who undertook a salvific mission and became a mediator between God and people. The Holy Spirit sent by Christ is the second Paraclete fulfilling the mediating mission. The Holy Spirit works both in the Immanent Trinity (God’s inner life) and in the Economic Trinity (God’s saving action in history). Interesting in this context are the theological models developed by, among others, Heribert Mühlen, Joseph Ratzinger, Walter Kasper, Hans Urs von Balthasar, Matthias Joseph Scheeben, Maximilian Maria Kolbe and René Laurentin, whose concepts have been briefly presented in the above article. The mediating mission of the Holy Spirit is oriented Christocentric and is revealed during the most important salvation events performed by Jesus Christ (incarnation, baptism in the Jordan, proclamation of the Kingdom of God, death and resurrection). Moreover, the Holy Spirit sanctifies the Church, connecting people with God and people with each other. This action is inscribed in the ontic mediation of Jesus Christ, who has two natures – Divine and human, and in the functional mediation of the Savior (royal, prophetic and priestly functions).
