Yet, Medicare provider eligibility was last updated in 1989, raising concerns about beneficiaries’ access to mental health care in the United States. Beneficiaries are currently restricted from accessing mental health services provided by licensed professional counselors and licensed marriage and family therapists. Little is known about the impact of this Medicare mental health coverage gap (MMHCG) on Medicare beneficiaries. Hermeneutic phenomenology was used to analyze semistructured interviews with 18 beneficiaries who had attempted to access mental health care but were limited due to the MMHCG. Three themes emerged: (a) <i>exasperating experiences with the MMHCG</i>, (b) the <i>MMHCG compounds barriers to mental health care</i>, and (c) <i>Medicare as a flawed system</i>. These findings suggest current Medicare mental health policy interferes with beneficiaries’ access to needed mental health services. Due to the multifaceted and complex experiences of QWoC, this study was informed by intersectionality theory and utilized photovoice methodology to explore QWoC's experiences of microaggressions in counseling. The seven QWoC who participated in this study provided portrayals of their experience of microaggressions in counseling. Five major themes were prominent in their photographs and narratives: (a) counseling as a tool of oppression, (b) impact of oppression in counseling, (c) strategies for survival, (d) healing for QWoC, and (e) the power of sharing mi historia. Overall, co-researchers provided insight into their experiences of oppression in counseling, while highlighting clinical and research practices that may be healing and liberatory for QWoC. Participants were 74 adolescents who were receiving treatment for internalizing disorders (<i>n =</i> 62) and externalizing disorders (<i>n =</i> 12). All participants completed a 6-week DBT-A application. Data analyses indicated a statistically significant improvement in global symptoms indicative of treatment effects within the large to medium range. About half (<i>n</i> = 38, 51%) of the participants reported clinically significant treatment gains with another 23% signaling symptom reductions that represented improvement but were not clinically significant. Predictive analyses indicated equivalence of PHP response across age, gender, and ethnicity with the greatest proportions of variance among treatment gains accounted for by improvements in DBT-A <i>doing skills</i> (emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness).
