The aim of this study is to “Assess the effect of project planning practices on project performance, a case of Baho Neza project implemented by Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle in Rubavu district, Rwanda. The specific objectives were to examine the effect of resource planning on the performance of the Baho Neza project, to find out the effect of risk management planning on the performance of the Baho Neza project, and to determine the effect of working capital management planning on the performance of the Baho Neza project in Rubavu district. This study adopted mixed method, which consolidates components of quantitative exploration and subjective examination to respond to the exploration questions. The study employed 300 respondents chosen randomly from 1200 workers of VJN. Under this research, the universal sample size technique was used. The study used Yamane (1974), the sample size was 300 respondents. The instruments of data collection in this study involved a questionnaire and interview to collect primary data and a documentary to collect secondary data. Regression coefficients revealed that there was a positive and significant effect of resource planning (β =0.498, p value=0.000), risk management planning (β =0.159, p value=0.037) and working capital planning (β =0.145, p value=0.047). The findings show p<0.05 indicate significant effect on performance of Baho Neza project. The findings show p<0.05 indicate significant effect on performance of Baho Neza project. The results of the hypothesis testing indicate that all three alternative hypotheses, H1a, H1b, and H1c, have been accepted at a significance level of p<0.05. This indicates that Resource planning, Risk management planning, and Working capital management planning all significantly affect the performance of the Baho Neza project in Rubavu district. The study suggests that project managers should possess strong operational and service delivery skills in order to effectively acknowledge the impact of planning techniques on project performance. The specific objectives were to examine how employee welfare, communication, and participation affect staff performance. Descriptive research methodology was used, guided by the Human Theory and Scientific Management Theory. The target respondents were university staff members, including teaching and non-teaching staff. To accomplish the study's goals, descriptive statistics were used to analyse the primary data obtained (structured questionnaires). SPSS version 26 was used to analyse the quantitative data produced using descriptive statistics. The study found that there was a significant positive correlation between all the study variables: employee performance and employee welfare (r=0.783, p <0.05); employee performance and employee communication (r=0.803, p <0.05); and employee performance and employee participation (r=0.759, p <0.05). The regression results indicate that all three objectives (employee welfare, employee communication, and employee participation) positively affect employee performance in public universities in Nairobi, Kenya. The study found that there is a strong positive correlation between employee relations practices and staff performance in public universities in Nairobi County, Kenya. This means that when employee relations practices are well managed, staff performance is likely to be high. This study had the following specific objectives: assess effect of M&E planning process on performance of water supply projects in Gakenke District, find out effect of M&E technical capacity on performance of water supply projects in Gakenke District, determine effect of M&E resources allocation on performance of water supply projects in Gakenke District and examine effect of stakeholders’ participation in M&E on performance of water supply projects in Gakenke District. 186 water project workers and head of household in Muzo, Janja, Gakenke and Ruli sector with Gakenke District officials made up the study’s population. The sample size of 127 respondents was determined by the help of Solvin’s formula. The results of the study rejected all null hypotheses (p<0.05). The research showed also that the effect of M&E planning process (β=1.348, p=.000), the effect of M&E technical capacity (β=.968, p=.001), the effect of allocation of resources (β=.638, p=.004), and the effect of participation of stakeholders in M&E (β=.261, p=.006) have positive and significant effect on the performance of water supply projects in Gakenke District. The study recommends to the District to design M&E team to manage all monitoring and evaluation activities for all the projects; to provide regular capacity building to M&E staff members in order to enhance their expertise in designing and implementing M&E activities; to anticipate and address potential challenges that may hinder the effective utilization of M&E in improving project performance and to enhance engagement of all stakeholders in M&E. This research deals with the factors influencing the implementation of international non-governmental organizations (NGOs)' projects in Rwanda, with Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) as a case study. Over the past years, NGOs have been returning funds to donors because the planned activities were not implemented. The main purpose of this research was to examine the effect of planning, communication, and managerial factors on projects' implementation, as the three objectives, respectively. The research used a descriptive research design on a population of 97 ADRA staff, where the census method was applied since the target population could be managed within the time and cost of the research. The descriptive research design with a quantitative approach helped to collect data using a questionnaire in which the responses were scored on a numerical scale. Regression analysis was performed to reveal the correlation between planning, managerial factors, communication, and projects' implementation. The study shows a significant and positive relationship between planning and cost, with a Pearson correlation of 0.822 and a calculated significance level of 0.00, which is less than the 0.01 significance level. The study also shows a significant and positive relationship between planning and timeliness, with a Pearson correlation of 0.819 and a calculated significance value of 0.00, which is also less than the 0.01 significance level. The second objective of the correlation analysis results shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between communication and cost (r=0.767), timeliness (r=0.764), and quality (r=0.818) at the sig=0.00<0.01 level of significance. Lastly, the third objective of the study was to investigate the managerial factors affecting the implementation of ADRA projects. The correlation analysis results confirmed a positive and significant relationship between managerial factors and cost (r=0.753), timeliness (r=0.750), and quality (r=0.804) at the sig=0.00<0.01 level of significance. In conclusion, the results of the research showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between managerial factors, communication, planning, and the implementation of ADRA projects in Rwanda.
