The background of the diagnostic assessment is the change in face-to-face teaching and learning activities to distance learning (PJJ), the decline in the ability of students, the failure to achieve learning objectives and the competency gaps of students. One effort to overcome this problem is to carry out an assessment at the beginning of learning which is called a diagnostic assessment. The approach used in this study uses a quantitative approach with quantitative descriptive methods, meaning that data is collected from instruments in the form of non-cognitive diagnostic assessments of fairy tales and then analyzed based on students' answers to each question, then set forth in tables and diagrams and percentages are taken. The population consists of two classes in class VII with a total of 51 students. a sample of 26 students in class VII. That directly or indirectly the role of parents affects children regarding their likes or dislikes of fairy tales. This role is not only in the form of storytelling for children, but rather encourages children to like reading fairy tale books. When children like fairy tales, this material will be easier to teach because the child's ability to understand is sufficient to explore it. It's different if the child doesn't like fairy tales. This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Data collected by test and observation. Data analysis using simple statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the table above shows that the average score of students reaches 81.2 and the percentage of learning completeness reaches 92.5% or in other words around 37 out of 40 students complete learning. The highest score is 95 and the lowest score is 65. These results indicate that learning completeness has increased better than learning with conventional methods. The implementation of this research has met the target of minimum completeness criteria. So the need for effective classroom management, to foster student learning interest. This study seeks to determine to what extent the teacher's ability in classroom management contributes to fostering student interest in the learning process. The subjects of this study were 1 class IV teacher and 26 class IV students. The method used is a type of descriptive qualitative research. The data analysis technique was carried out by qualitatively descriptive. This study aims to increase the learning activities of fifth-grade students of UPT SD Negeri 017 Singkuang Ranah, which consists of 25 students. The research used was Classroom Action Research (PTK), carried out in two learning cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and four learning stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques in the form of documentation, observation, and tests. In contrast, the data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Based on the data analysis, the results of the learning activities of class V UPT SD Negeri 017 Ranah Singkuang in the pre-action were obtained with a learning completeness percentage of 63.04%. In Cycle 1 Meeting I, with a learning completeness percentage of 67.61%, and in Cycle 1 Meeting II, there was an increase with a learning completeness percentage of 72%. In cycle two, the first meeting also increased with the rate of learning activities at 75.62%. In cycle 2, the second meeting experienced another increase, with the speed of learning completeness at 84.75%.
