Firstly, an image extraction model based on a convolutional neural network and a game character image generation model based on a generative adversarial networks model is designed. Then, experiments are used to evaluate the loss of the model, and the performance of AIGC technology and traditional game character design methods is compared. The experimental results show that the average realism of game characters generated by the AIGC method is 0.85, which is higher than that of the traditional method of 0.82. The average value of the peak signal-to-noise ratio is 15.71, which is significantly better than the traditional method of 11.24. In addition, the Fréchet Inception Distance indicator suggests that the average of the AIGC method is 1.14, which is lower than the traditional method of 2.33. The learned perceptual image patch similarity averages 1.16, which is closer to the real sample than the traditional method of 2.17. Meanwhile, the game character design generated by AIGC technology only takes 0.85 h on average, which is much lower than the 3 h of traditional methods. Also, the uniqueness analysis of samples generated by AIGC is carried out. It is found that about 80 out of 100 generated samples are unique, indicating that the diversity of samples generated by AIGC is high, and the character design is quite different. The results show that AIGC technology has important application potential in in-game character design, which can provide higher-quality, more realistic, and diversified game character design to improve game experience and competitiveness.</p>","PeriodicalId":47435,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Knowledge Economy","volume":"133 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":3.3,"publicationDate":"2024-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141518620","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"经济学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to examine the factors influencing a firm’s decision to adopt ISO 14001, leveraging a panel dataset spanning a decade and encompassing 245 firms listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). Our findings, derived from panel logit regressions, show several pivotal insights. Older firms and those with prior experience in implementing the ISO 9001 standard are more likely to adopt ISO 14001. A manufacturing firm’s decision to adopt ISO 14001 is significantly influenced by pressure from foreign customers, highlighting the role of global market dynamics in shaping environmental compliance strategies. We also find that firms exhibiting higher levels of competitiveness are more predisposed to ISO 14001 adoption. Similarly, those emphasizing raw material efficiency tend to adopt the standard, while energy-inefficient firms are also inclined towards its adoption. Furthermore, firms with greater financial performance and capital-intensive firms are more likely to adopt the standard. These findings not only contribute to our understanding of ISO 14001 adoption dynamics but also hold practical implications for policymakers and managerial decision-makers within manufacturing firms, particularly in developing economies.</p>","PeriodicalId":47435,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Knowledge Economy","volume":"166 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":3.3,"publicationDate":"2024-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141518548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"经济学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, we develop three decision models to explore the impact of different subsidy policies on manufacturers’ carbon emission reduction under CSR, and analyze the optimal subsidy policies. Furthermore, we investigate the impact of CSR on social welfare and social environment under different subsidy policies. We find that manufacturers are more willing to reduce carbon emissions, mitigate negative environmental impacts, and improve social welfare under consumer subsidies. However, we find that social welfare and socio-environmental impacts under consumer subsidies are not necessarily better than manufacturer subsidies when the level of CSR is low. It is based on predictive methods of intelligent data analysis. The objects of the study are 103 countries. The statistical data of the investigated indicators of these countries were used for 2021 according to the reports of the e-Governance Academy and the World Bank Doing Business Group. The originality of the research lies in the multivariate adaptive regression spline of countries’ digital development level developed by the authors. The research is implemented within the scope of execution of four stages. A multiple regression model was developed to compare the results of the classical regression model and the results obtained by the MARS model, characterizing the influence of the national cyber security index and ease of doing business on digital development. Its development was implemented in the third stage. Both independent variables positively and directly affect the dependent indicator. At the same time, the influence of the “ease of doing business” index is four times greater than the national cyber security index, caused by the mass use of digital technologies in all business areas and the digital economy, and that is a stimulating factor of economic development. The absence of multicollinearity in the predictor variables was proven using the variance inflation factor test, and the statistical significance of the model — using the Student’s test, coefficient of determination, standard error of estimate, mean absolute error, Fisher’s test, and ANOVA. The MARS model was developed using the Salford Predictive Modeler software. The quality of the model is based on the generalized cross-validation criterion. The obtained results made it possible to comprehensively determine the influence of the cyber security national index and ease of doing business on the country’s digital development under study and can be used by analytical departments of socio-economic objects (banks, financial institutions), national cyber police bodies, national cyber security coordination centers for economic development and sustainable growth.</p>","PeriodicalId":47435,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Knowledge Economy","volume":"28 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":3.3,"publicationDate":"2024-05-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141169380","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"经济学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
