The primary issue and a hot topic globally is the automation of agriculture. The population is growing rapidly, and this growth is also increasing the demand for food and jobs. Farmers have been employing traditional methods but were insufficient to meet these demands. New automated techniques were consequently introduced. These innovative techniques supplied the world’s food needs while simultaneously giving billions of people access to jobs. Agriculture has undergone a revolution thanks to artificial intelligence. The agricultural output has been shielded by this technique from a number of circumstances, including population expansion, job issues, and food security concerns. Recently, the agriculture industry is witnessing the application of artificial intelligence (AI). To increase production, the industry must overcome a number of obstacles, including poor soil management, insect and disease infestation, the need for large amounts of data, low output, and a knowledge gap between farmers and technology. The major ideas behind AI in agriculture are its adaptability, excellence, accuracy, and economy. This essay provides an overview of the ways artificial intelligence has been applied to managing weeds, diseases, crops, and soil. The application’s advantages and disadvantages are highlighted and also how to use expert systems to increase productivity.","PeriodicalId":472318,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Microbiology Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136207539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its role in the country’s nutritional security, poverty alleviation and employment generation programmes is becoming increasingly important. It offers not only a wide range of options to the farmers for crop diversification, but also provides ample scope for sustaining large number of Agro-industries which generate huge employment opportunities. In terms of increasing farmers’ income, diversification towards flower cultivation results in higher profit per unit area than most of the field crops and therefore can enhance the livelihood of farmers. Despite of the major constraints in flower production in India it can still be developed on a commercial scale even in adverse climatic conditions such as arid and semi arid regions. This gives plenty of opportunity to farmers to expand beyond the conventional venture of farming.","PeriodicalId":472318,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Microbiology Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136207553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the study was to optimize the molecular detection and quantification of DNA of various Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus obtained from selected Yoghurts, Yogourmet as well as Soy wara using Zymo genomic kits. The result confirmed that Zymo genomic kits are superior to use of other methods. Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus strain B 37 , B 35 , B 36 and B 38 had a DNA purity ranging from 1.78 and 2.1 , while Lactobacillus bulgaricu s strain B 39 , B 40 and B 41 had a DNA Purity ranging from 1.93 and 1.97. The result justifies that higher purity and yield is characteristic of the method. The Agarose Gel Electrophoresis confirmed the DNA of Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus at 1500 bp are obtained from Commercial yoghurts and Yogourmet, while the starter cultures obtained from Soy wara did not show any amplification bands.","PeriodicalId":472318,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Microbiology Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136207640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Bm BDV, resistance or the non-susceptibility is governed by a single recessive gene called non-susceptibility to Bm BDV ( nsd-2 ). The deletion in nsd-2 gene is associated with the Bm BDV resistance and hence can be used as a marker for molecular marker assisted breeding program. In the present study, cross breeds were developed by screening 17 multivoltine breeds popular among the breeders to develop hybrids for the Northeast regions of India. Out of 17 multivoltine, three showed presence of nsd-2 resistant allele in heterozygous/homozygous condition. Among the breeds which carry nsd-2 resistant allele, Lamerin breed showed complete homozygosity for nsd-2 resistant allele through marker assisted selection and showed complete resistance to BmBDV infection and was taken as female parent. Another productive bivoltine breed CSR2R resistant to BmBDV was developed through marker assisted backcrossing method was taken as a male parent. The control hybrids Lamerin, CSR2 as well as the BmBDV resistant LamerinR and CSR2R were further crossed to develop crossbreed and these hybrids were confirmed for Bm BDV resistance through bioassay and absence of viral genome through conventional PCR.The BmBDV resistant hybrids showed >90% (90%) survivability compared to control susceptible hybrid with 10.66% survival post infection with the Bm BDV. Further, the BmBDV resistant hybrids (LamerinR X CSR2R) also showed significant improvement in the pre cocoon and the post cocoon traits at par with the (LamerinXCSR2) and there was no deviation or compromise in the economic characters. Hence, the developed cross breeds with the disease resistant trait along with the improved qualitative and quantitative traits will enhance the productivity which can be successfully commercialized in Northeastern part of India and Lamerin can also be used as foundation cross in Multi x Bi hybrids (Crossbreeds).","PeriodicalId":472318,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Microbiology Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136207635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
