This experiment was carried out on a strawberry plant to ascertain the effects of varying nutrient concentrations. Furthermore, the growth and output of strawberries grown in a hydroponics and pot system were underestimated. The strawberry is a popular fruit due to its nutritional content and supposed health benefits, and its production has increased significantly in recent decades, thanks to pot system farming. This review article highlights the development of innovative strawberry under-pot and hydroponic techniques. Innovative strawberry producing techniques such as without soil culture or hydroponic systems are replacing the old and traditional methods of production which required more attention than field crops. Strawberries and other berries contain healthy chemicals that may help prevent some malignancies. They are most useful in preventing breast and gastrointestinal cancers, while they may also be somewhat helpful in preventing lung, prostate, liver, and pancreatic cancers. The scientists conjectured that the advantage most likely results from a combined action of all the components in strawberries acting together, rather than pinpointing a single ingredient as the cause of this protection. In conclusion, eating strawberries may provide some of defence against lung, oesophagus, breast, and oral cancers, but additional research is also required. In view of the fact of their popularity with consumers and health-enhancing qualities, strawberries play a significant economic role in the fruit sector. One of the key problems raised in the industry sector is the adulteration of other berry juices with strawberry. As a result, evaluating small chemicals, such as anthocyanins to build a profile that may be used for quality control purposes in hydroponic and pot system agriculture, is of special interest. The resultant is an alcohol-free, low-diabetic sweet-and-sour strawberry with plenty of nutrients.","PeriodicalId":472318,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Microbiology Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136207624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a safe and inexpensive outdoor procedure. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is a simple, quick and cost effective method and plays an important role in early diagnosis of superficial masses found in the head and neck region. It is to assess the frequency and incidence of different sites, age, sex and according to the lesions being inflammatory, benign and malignant. A retrospective study among 110 patients was conducted at GMERS Medical College and Hospital, Dharpur-Patan Gujarat from January 2021 to March 2023. Patients between the ages of 5 years to 75 years were taken into the study. Fine needle aspiration cytomorhological diagnosis was correlated with detailed clinical findings and investigations. Out of 110 fine needle aspiration procedures 67.28 % (74 cases) were of lymph node, 14.54% (16 cases) were of thyroid, 7.27% from salivary gland(08 cases) and 10.91% (12 cases) from miscellaneous swellings. Out of total 110 lesions, 60(54.54%) were inflammatory, 35 (31.82%) benign and 15 (13.65%) were malignant. From the present study we concluded that FNAC is excellent, fast, inexpensive and minimally invasive first line investigation for differential diagnosis of head and neck masses. Also combination of fine needle aspiration cytology with acid fast staining is very much helpful for routine diagnosis of tuberculosis.","PeriodicalId":472318,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Microbiology Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136208051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Vegetable grafting is regarded as the most environmentally safe management strategy for sustainable vegetable production since the resistant rootstock lessens the need for agrochemicals in the treatment of soil-borne diseases and has opened up new possibilities for organic vegetable farming. Given their ability to withstand both biotic and abiotic stresses, grafted solanaceous plants are being produced and grown in greater quantities across Asia, Europe, and North America. It increases the production of the cultivars in addition to their tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Grafting is currently recognized as a quick replacement option for the rather lengthy breeding methodology and is useful in sustainable farming that requires less input for future agricultural systems. Also, innovations in robotic and mechanized grafting have encouraged the development of this creative eco-friendly strategy. In the future, mechanization has the potential to dramatically cut the cost of producing grafted seedlings. This method continues to be infancy in India due to the significant post-graft mortality of seedlings; therefore, for its commercial implementation in India, grafting skills need to be improved, and strategies to increase the graft success percentage has to be developed. This review focuses on research works conducted on the grafting of solanaceous crops throughout India and how these could be used to improve the current situation of grafted solanaceous vegetable cultivation in India.","PeriodicalId":472318,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Microbiology Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences","volume":"113 8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136257155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the nursery experiment the progeny PP 8, PP 12 and PP 14 showed better than others. The evaluation under nursery conditions showed that the progeny PP 14 expressed superiority for all the four traits viz., plant height, collar diameter, number of branches and volume index while the progeny PP 19 also performed well for a minimum of three morphometric traits. In biometric traits, volume index had registered the highest PCV, GCV and genetic advance as percentage of mean followed by number of branches. Volume index was highly and positively associated with basal diameter at phenotypic level and with plant height at genotypic level. In Path analysis indicated that collar diameter and plant height had direct positive effect on volume index. It is estimated that by 2050’s the United States dairy industry alone will suffer more than $1.7 billion loss. As human dependency on animal products for nutrition is increasing, the urgency to maximize production is even greater. With the booming human population, there’s additional constraint on available natural resources. High yielding animals are already under tremendous pressure making them more susceptible to adverse climatic conditions. When exposed to heat stress or lack of adequate nutrition livestock substantially decrease milk, meat or egg production. While, most of the researchers attempted to evaluate the impact of heat stress or other factors at a regional level, the impact of global warming, its interactions with other variables transiting dairying are yet to be clearly comprehended on a global scale. So, this exploratory study evaluated the effect of climate change, other key drivers and their interaction on milk production. Our results from hierarchical regression analyses have revealed that, environmental temperature, land availability and milk yield were the key factors influencing the milk production and dairy enterprise in turn.","PeriodicalId":472318,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Microbiology Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136209131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Diabetes is fast gaining the status of a potential epidemic in India with more than 62 million diabetic individuals currently diagnosed with the disease. This article examines the advocacy provided to diabetes respondents by SMS to meet their information need. The information needs of the diabetic respondents were studied with the help of developed interview schedule. The information needs of the respondents were collected in terms of clinical, nutrition and management domains. Taking in to account each information need, broader content to be provided to satisfy the need was developed. Short messages both in text and voice format were developed, in Telugu and English in accordance to the information need of the respondents addressing behaviour domain – KAS. A total 60 text and 30 voice messages were developed. The text message provides the narration and voice message an appeal or direction for action. To measure the perception level of respondents on disseminated messages, a check list on three-point continuum with options strongly agree, agree and disagree for the statements, with a score of 3, 2 and 1 respectively, reflecting the content and respective behaviour domains, were prepared. It was administered to the sample, i.e. both experimental and control group. For this investigation, the random sampling method was used. The mean score for nutrition information need was higher in both experimental and control groups and low for management information needs. A significant difference between experimental and control was found when computed t values through independent t test.","PeriodicalId":472318,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Microbiology Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135783350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
