Yet despite the freedom and organic flow of the methodology, there remain barriers to deploying co-creation in the real-world context. The aim was to understand the barriers and solutions to co-creation, reflect on applying co-creation in practice and co-create an applicable framework for co-creation.Design/methodology/approachThese reflections and conceptual developments were completed using a Participatory Action Research Approach through the co-creation of the Erasmus+ funded Co-creating Welfare course.FindingsResults presented are centric to the experiences in the United Kingdom but led to application at an international level. Problem formulation led to solutions devised about who should co-create, what co-creation aims to achieve, how to receive management buy-in, co-creating beyond the local face to face context and evaluation.Originality/valueThe Three Co’s Framework is proposed using the outline of: Co-Define, Co-Design and Co-Refine. Those who take part in co-creation processes are recommended to be called co-creators, with less focus on “empowerment” and more about facilitating people to harness the power they already have. Utilising online and hybrid delivery methods can be more inclusive, especially in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Interviews were carried out with 54 principals, teachers, parents and grandparents from a representative sample of primary schools in Ireland. Each participant was asked the same, open, question: “What does well-being mean to you?” Responses were transcribed verbatim and analysed using a combination of the principles of the hermeneutic circle and Braun and Clarke’s framework for thematic analysis.FindingsThree conceptualisations of well-being were identified (1) well-being is about being happy, (2) well-being is about being healthy and safe and (3) well-being is something you “do”.Originality/valueTo the best of our knowledge this paper is the first of its kind to describe how well-being is conceptualised by adults in Irish primary school contexts. Recent research has highlighted a role for “fat talk” to describe discourses around body size and food. One key source of media information is Disney animation films, yet to date no research study has explored the verbal content of this genre.Design/methodology/approachThe present study used a content analysis to examine fat talk in Disney animation films (1937–2021; n = 53) with a focus on the frequency of fat talk, changes over time and differences between the genders and heroic statuses of the givers and receivers of fat talk. {"title":"Parents’ perspectives on adolescent social emotional learning: an explorative qualitative study amongst parents of students in prevocational secondary education","authors":"M. Although parents play an essential role in teaching these skills, knowledge about their perspectives on social-emotional learning is limited. In providing insight into the perspectives of parents from adolescent students this paper adds to this knowledge.Design/methodology/approachAn explorative qualitative study was conducted to gain insight into parents' perspectives (N = 32) on adolescent social-emotional learning. A broadly used professional framework for social emotional learning was used as a frame of reference in interviews with parents from diverse backgrounds. Within and across case analyses were applied to analyze the interviews.FindingsA conceptual model of four social-emotional skills constructs considered crucial learning by parents emerged from the data: respectful behavior, cooperation, self-knowledge and self-reliance. Parents' language, interpretations and orderings of skills indicate that the model underlying these constructs differs from skills embedded in the professional framework.Research limitations/implicationsParticipants were small in number and mainly female. Therefore, more research is necessary to test the model in other parent populations.Practical implicationsThe social-emotional skills students in prevocational secondary education learn at home differ from those targeted in SEL programs. Engaging students’ parents in SEL program implementation is indicated to align the skills taught at home and school. In addition, the present research also sought to establish the role of “gender” and “absence/presence of health professional in the family” as a socio-demographic variable in the relationship between HL and SWB.Design/methodology/approachThis study used a descriptive and quantitative research design. Students were asked to respond to an online questionnaire as part of a survey strategy. Out of 550 respondents who completed the survey, only 511 responses were usable after data cleaning.FindingsThe structural equation modelling regression analysis revealed a positive association between HL and SWB. In addition, the moderating role of gender and the “presence/absence of health professionals in the family” between HL and SWB was also established.Research limitations/implicationsAlthough a sizable sample of university students responded to this poll, it was a convenience sample. The study cannot be generalised to the general population; thus, future scholars can include other socio-demographic sections. Theoretically, it has tested a research framework concerning multiple dimensions of students' SWB and HL. In addition, the moderating role of gender and the “presence/absence of health professionals in the family” is another unique research contribution of this study.Practical implicationsThe results of the current study provided evidence that HL promotion efforts are needed amongst the student population in India to enhance their well-being. The objective of practitioners and relevant stakeholders (parents, government agencies and universities) should be to build capacities concerning HL at both personal and institutional levels. Based on the findings, more educational programmes should be created for the students to promote HL and raise awareness of healthy lifestyles.Originality/valueThe degree to which people can locate, comprehend and use information and services to support health-related decisions and actions for themselves and others is known as “health literacy.” HL is closely associated with SWB, which means how people perceive and assess their lives and particular spheres and activities within them. The current research on the relationship between the two domains is limited. Design/methodology/approach A cross-sectional survey design was used to collect data from full-time students at one University in Oman. Outcomes included sociodemographic information, the brief resilience scale, the perceived stress scale-4 and the meaning in life questionnaire to explore the students' profiles. Findings A total of 964 students participated (response rate = 34.8%), of which 35% had low resilience scores. The average perceived stress, presence of meaning in life and search for meaning in life scores were 7.9 ± 2.3, 24.2 ± 6.9 and 24.9 ± 7.7, respectively. Cluster analysis identified three groups: low-risk and fewer impacts (cluster A, n = 503, 523%), moderate-risk and moderate impacts (cluster B, n = 160, 16.6%) and high-risk and more impacts (cluster C, n = 301, 31.2%). Cluster C students experienced more psychological problems and were at high risk during the pandemic. Research limitations/implications The respondents' honesty is a possible error that could influence the results. Low response rates limit its generalizability, and cause-effect relationships among mental health outcomes cannot be discerned. Practical implications This study identified three distinct groups of students, each with different levels of severity in their health problems. There is an increased need for education and counseling to support students during this period, and university management should focus on implementing personal precautionary measures and providing high-tech, user-friendly platforms for students to enhance their learning. Originality/value These findings suggest that tailored strategies should be developed to address the unique psychological needs of each group. Це дослідження надає попередні докази того, що важкість перебігу і летальність COVID-19 може бути пов’язана з імуногенетичними маркерами (HLA-B, IL6, IL10 та IL12B). Однак ці результати повинні бути враховані для проведення подальшої оцінки та підтверджені в більш структурованих дослідженнях. Варто відзначити, що дизайн подальших досліджень повинен враховувати супутні розлади, які можуть впливати на прогноз перебігу та наслідки захворювання, оскільки вони пов’язані з цими імуногенетичними маркерами. Крім того, слід використовувати ретельні стратегії відбору зразків, уникати стратифікації досліджуваних на підгрупи, оскільки ці поліморфізми мають широкий спектр варіабельності, пов’язаної з етнічністю. Також важливо враховувати адитивні ефекти та підходити до оцінки цих маркерів з урахуванням їх можливого впливу цих чинників. Загалом результати дослідження підкреслюють важливість генетичних факторів у визначенні ризику та перебігу COVID-19. Проведені дослідження підтвердили результати, які вказують на важливу роль імунологічного статусу в контексті нової коронавірусної хвороби COVID-19. Виявлені зв’язки між генетичними маркерами імунітету та сприйнятливістю до захворювань можуть стати основою для подальших досліджень і розробки нових профілактичних і терапевтичних стратегій. Наведено приклади досліджень державних структур щодо індикаторів інтелектуальної та фізичної активності жінок. У статті розглянуто основні положення державних законів щодо надання психологічної допомоги у системі охорони здоров’я та індикатори, що впливають на збільшення кількості звернень до психологів. Автор здійснює порівняльний аналіз звернень до різних державних структур, що розкриває різні вектори вивчення даного питання. Статистичні та аналітичні дані, наведені у статті, дозволили автору зробити висновки, що зміна у гендерних ролях, очікуваннях та нормах призводить на державному рівні до ситуації дестабілізації. Демченко","doi":"10.32782/health-2023.3.12","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32782/health-2023.3.12","url":null,"abstract":"Встановлено, що зовнішньоекономічна діяльність (ЗЕД) виробничих фармацевтичних підприємств здійснюється у формі експорту лікарських засобів, імпорту активних фармацевтичних інгредієнтів, основних і допоміжних матеріалів, обладнання, надання послуг і є однією з важливих сфер діяльності підприємства. Визначено, що логістика дозволяє покращити ефективність ЗЕД підприємств. До логістичних операцій у сфері ЗЕД виробничих фармацевтичних підприємств віднесено закупівлю необхідних активних фармацевтичних інгредієнтів, матеріалів та сировини, їх доставку та зберігання, переміщення до цеху, всередині цеху та до складу готової продукції, зберігання на складі готової продукції, її доставку споживачу. Визначено проблеми логістики ЗЕД виробничих фармацевтичних підприємств, до основних з них віднесено недосконалість розробки маршрутів, низьку ефективність фармацевтичного логістичного ланцюга, відсутність документування всіх логістичних операцій, принципів логістики в міжнародних угодах; відсутність уніфікованих вимог, стандартів і правил стосовно логістичної діяльності у сфері ЗЕД; дотримання операційних процедур стосовно логістичної діяльності та неможливість коригування замовлення. Запропоновано для оцінювання логістичної діяльності у сфері ЗЕД здійснювати на підставі рейтингового оцінювання якісних характеристик логістики ЗЕД. Методику діагностики логістики ЗЕД запропоновано здійснювати за п’ятьма напрямами: якість документообігу логістики ЗЕД; система обліку логістичних операцій ЗЕД; ефективність логістичної діяльності ЗЕД; надійність логістики; ефективність діяльності логістичного персоналу у сфері ЗЕД. Запропоновано визначення інтегрального показника логістичної діяльності у сфері ЗЕД. {"title":"ОЦІНКА НАСЛІДКІВ ХРЕБЕТНИХ ТА СПИННОМОЗКОВИХ ТРАВМ У ПОПЕРЕКОВОМУ ВІДДІЛІ ХРЕБТА ЗА ДОПОМОГОЮ ПРОМЕНЕВИХ І НЕЙРОВІЗУАЛІЗУЮЧИХ МЕТОДІВ ДОСЛІДЖЕНЬ У ПРАКТИЦІ МЕДИКО-СОЦІАЛЬНОЇ ЕКСПЕРТИЗИ","authors":"Олег Миколайович Тарасенко, Тетяна Миколаївна Тарасенко, Людмила Володимирівна Мирончук","doi":"10.32782/health-2023.3.8","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32782/health-2023.3.8","url":null,"abstract":"Метою нашої роботи була оцінка наслідків травм хребта та спинного мозку в поперековому відділі за допомогою методів променевої візуалізації та МРТ з огляду на їхню чутливість у віддаленому періоді. Загальна кількість спостережень складала 134 випадки, які було розділено на три окремі групи. До I групи увійшли пацієнти з інвалідністю, яким проводилась спондилографія поперекового відділу хребта із функціональними пробами (n=64); у II групу – пацієнти з інвалідністю, для обстеження яких додатково застосовувалась комп`ютерна томографія (n=40); III групу склали пацієнти з інвалідністю, додатково обстежені за допомогою МРТ (n=30). Середній вік хворих склав 48±3,6 років. Чоловіків було 114 (85%), жінок – 20 (15%). Усі пацієнти були розділені на вікові групи відповідно до рекомендацій ВООЗ: 25-44 років – молодий вік (34 пацієнти), 44-60 – середній вік (95 пацієнтів), 60-75 років – похилий вік (5 пацієнтів). Різні попередні хірургічні втручання були виконані у 100 пацієнтів (75%). За допомогою обчислень отримали середні планіметричні показники індексів висоти та ширини міжхребцевого отвору на рівні ушкодженого хребця. СКТ дозволила виявити додаткові ушкодження, які не були встановлені шляхом звичайної рентгенографії, – вторинні зміщення відламків у напрямку спинномозкового каналу. По МР томограмах оцінювали вторинні зміни хребтового каналу, ступінь нейрокомпресійного синдрому. Пацієнти з інвалідністю III групи, які були обстежені інтегрально за допомогою променевих методів дослідження та МРТ, мали найбільш точні результати морфологічних змін, що корелювали з клінічними проявами.
