The focus of this study lies in the development and integration of a specialized switching inductor configuration, aiming to augment the converter's voltage gain while concurrently mitigating stress imposed on the converter switch. The converter's efficacy is of paramount importance, particularly during stepping-up operations where the duty cycle reduction, a consequence of the integrated switched inductor, contributes to reduced stress. The proposed converter architecture is characterized by its simplicity, necessitating only minimal components for implementation. These include a single capacitor, a pair of diodes, a duo of inductors, and a trifecta of switches. Operating nominally at 12 volts, the converter dynamically adjusts the voltage level in response to varying duty cycles: elevating it beyond the 35% threshold and inversely attenuating it below this parameter. A salient outcome of this endeavor is the curtailment of the dependency on an additional diode (D), resulting in streamlined circuitry. The conceptualized switching inductor model was rigorously assessed using the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation environment, affording a comprehensive evaluation of its efficacy and robustness. This study thus underscores the viability and potential for significant enhancements in non-isolated buck-boost converter systems through inventive switching inductor integration.","PeriodicalId":46663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced and Applied Sciences","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139306258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study used the descriptive analytical comparative approach and analyzed available information in published studies, peer-reviewed articles, and online official documents of the countries under study. The findings of the study reported that Australia is very advanced in the field of enacting policies and legislation, as it has developed integrated strategies that include most of the elements of policies and legislation, although there are some shortcomings compared to the international standards; in South Korea, there are policies and legislation, but they are not integrated and have many shortcomings in definitions, explanation and implementation, and they do not cooperate with the international standards. In Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the implementation of policies and legislation is neither in line with international standards nor with the general directions of educational policies, and they are almost unavailable. However, the UAE has taken some steps to enact policies and laws.","PeriodicalId":46663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced and Applied Sciences","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139293477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to map ISF research through a bibliometric analysis of 502 publications in the Scopus database from 1979 to 2022. Using state-of-the-art tools such as VOSviewer and R Studio, we uncover publication trends, co-authorship networks, and bibliographic integration in the field. Our results show a promising annual growth rate of 9.26% in ISF publications, with Malaysia and Hasan M. K. leading and Malaysia International Islamic University as the affiliate with the highest publication contribution. This study provides valuable recommendations for future research to enhance our understanding of ISF and unlock its potential social impact. However, we must first acknowledge the limitations of using Scopus data exclusively. Through this study, we hope to inspire further exploration of the power of ISF to create positive change in our world.","PeriodicalId":46663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced and Applied Sciences","volume":"113 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139304912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Competent nurse supervisors can efficiently manage resources such as staff, tools, and workflows to provide the best possible patient care. The purpose of this study was to determine the perspectives of nurse supervisors and nurse managers on the competencies required of nurse supervisors for improved service delivery in PHC settings. This study used a descriptive-quantitative design and was conducted in the north-central regions of Saudi Arabia. The researchers used convenience sampling to recruit 107 PHC nurse supervisors and 110 nurses. The study found that most of the respondents were female supervisors (93%), staff aged between 20 and 44 years (88%), graduate staff (48%), and supervisors with more than five years of hospital experience (44.4%). According to the nurses' perception, the communication skills of the supervisors were low (M=8.42, SD=1.12). On the other hand, nurse managers rated themselves as having low communication skills (mean=7.64, SD=2.00) and financial management skills (mean=7.87, SD=1.95). The study found that nurses believed their supervisors were competent. However, both staff and supervisors identified a need for improvement in communication skills. Financial management skills were perceived as weak by nurse supervisors.","PeriodicalId":46663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced and Applied Sciences","volume":"59 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139291890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study methodically surveyed 356 students currently enrolled in the Applied College of the University of Ha'il. Contrary to previous research, the findings reveal a crucial difference, suggesting that social class has an insignificant impact on entrepreneurial intentions, while self-confidence emerges as a paramount determinant. This disparity is due to the distinctive educational methodologies employed in applied colleges, including hands-on instruction, mentorship initiatives, workshops, and experiential learning opportunities, which collectively foster self-confidence. Notably, the survey results reveal a compelling statistic: 75% of female students in applied colleges demonstrate empowerment and cultivate entrepreneurial aspirations. The hands-on approach to entrepreneurship education empowers them to recognize their importance in the business landscape, thereby contributing to the improvement of Saudi Arabia's economic development. In addition, a remarkable 67.3% of students demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with peers of the opposite sex in entrepreneurial ventures, indicating a mature blend of social and economic acumen among applied university students. Furthermore, this study highlights the critical role of applied colleges in bridging the gap between theoretical academic knowledge and practical business acumen. By immersing students in authentic experiences and simulations that reflect the demands of the business world, applied colleges successfully equip them to address real-world business challenges, thereby mitigating potential pitfalls in commercial and agricultural projects.","PeriodicalId":46663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced and Applied Sciences","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.5,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139296981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to investigate the effect of digital payments on macroeconomic stability. Electronic money is used as a proxy for digital payment. The macroeconomic stability is calibrated using exchange rate volatility and inflation rate. This study uses monthly data ranging from January 2009 to March 2020. Macroeconomic data were collected from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. Industry and market data from the Central Bank of Indonesia (Statistic of Bank Indonesia) and the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). The data were analyzed using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) to examine the long-run and short-run relationship between the studied variables. This study found that digital payments affect Indonesian macroeconomic stability. Electronic money as a proxy of digitalization has a positive and significant relationship with exchange rate volatility and inflation. Cross-border e-commerce might induce exchange rate volatility due to its convenience as a one-stop shopping service and its lower switching cost of currency. The driver of higher inflation is electronic money, which increases people's spending, thus increasing the velocity of circulation and total consumption.","PeriodicalId":46663,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced and Applied Sciences","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135811165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
