The goal of this research is to learn how competency mapping is being utilised to evaluate various people’s skill sets so that the best teams can be formed and the best possible results can be achieved. A total of 236 IT workers in Tricity (Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali) participated in the research, which found that competence mapping had a favourable impact on a variety of HR procedures. This research used a variety of statistical methods—it uses several statistical methods and tests to arrive at its conclusions. When compared to lower and higher levels of management, the research finds that the abilities of medium-level managers are greater than expected. There are also considerable variations amongst workers at various levels of management. The gap in competence may be reduced via conversation and training. This study may help human resources specialists determine which skills are most important at various managerial tiers. It may also provide insight on how to use a competence mapping methodology to improve productivity. The results of the competency mapping model are vital because they help both the individual and the company understand what knowledge, skills, and abilities are required for a certain position.","PeriodicalId":46518,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF INFORMATION & OPTIMIZATION SCIENCES","volume":"43 1","pages":"1589 - 1599"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48173291","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The consumer finds ease in shopping domestic appliances online as compared to traditional shopping. The present study is being conducted to investigate the factors that influence customers’ online purchasing intentions (COPI) whereby trust (TT), perceived use and usefulness (PEUU), e-service quality (ESQL), perceived behavior control (PBC), subjective norms (SNM) and consumer online shopping behavior (COSB) were analyzed. A questionnaire was utilised as a survey tool to collect data from 383 respondents using a quantitative methodology. The data were examined using structural equation modelling (SEM) to test the hypothesis, fit the model, and determine the relationship between the variables evaluated. The analysis concluded that consumer online purchase intention (COPI) acts as a mediator between the independent variables (TT, PEUU, ESQL, PBC, SNM) and the dependent variable consumer online shopping behavior (COSB). According to the findings, perceived use and usefulness (PEUU) had a negative influence on purchase intention and behaviour, but consumer online purchase intention had a substantial effect on consumer online purchasing behaviour. The study provides scope and new avenues for future research. In addition to this, it also provides the platform for other researchers to target a specific age, gender, education, or marital status to design a new pattern of online shopping.","PeriodicalId":46518,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF INFORMATION & OPTIMIZATION SCIENCES","volume":"43 1","pages":"1499 - 1515"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43661190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All business entities, irrespective of their size, are keenly discussing competencies because at the core of any effective or successful activity lies a competence or a skill. Some organizations have fully actualized the competency modelling known as Competency-Based Human Resource Information System (CBHRIS/CBHRM) to bridge the gaps between job competency and employee competency. Competency models have reoriented the HR practitioners into business partners. The employees are recruited and selected based on matching the job/roles with the existing or potential employees’ competencies. This conceptual paper undertakes a comprehensive literature review to explore the significance, various aspects, and barriers to implementing Competency-Based HRIS holistically in various industries. The competency-based paradigm has rational, reasoning/ aptitude, and analytical skills for tackling complex and ill-structured HR challenges utilizing competency-based HRIS. It is found that CBHRIS applies competency analysis to produce performance improvements, preparations, hiring, recruitment, and employee growth. With continued technological evolution and competency mapping, Competency-Based HRIS is becoming progressively advanced, resulting in a highly competent workforce capable of evolving in their jobs towards superior performance.","PeriodicalId":46518,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF INFORMATION & OPTIMIZATION SCIENCES","volume":"29 6","pages":"1749 - 1762"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41299361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to explore the relationship between ‘green human resource management’ (GHRM) and ‘employee green creativity’ (EGC) in context to tourism and hospitality. Systematic review of the literature and bibliographic analysis are presented to analyse published work on the subject and to identify the research gap for future studies. This article initially shortlisted 52 publications from the Scopus database, but after a detailed screening, only 11 were identified which discusses both the GHRM and EGC in hospitality context. This is the first research to conduct a systematic review and bibliometric analysis of the variables GHRM and EGC in the hospitality domain, and it demonstrates that GHRM has impact on EGC.","PeriodicalId":46518,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF INFORMATION & OPTIMIZATION SCIENCES","volume":"43 1","pages":"1709 - 1720"},"PeriodicalIF":1.4,"publicationDate":"2022-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47851780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) bots to assist teachers in their instruction is examined as a constant process. A robot is being trained in order to test the delivery of an appropriate lesson. Before choosing a teaching topic of widespread interest, different training demands of teachers are examined, as well as possible problems if some of those areas are taught to a robot. The robot’s emotional and social components, and the expertise of the teachers, are assessed. Professors with doctoral degrees are included in the performance tests.
