Objective: The purpose of this study is to develop a social support model to reduce anxiety in menopausal women. Method: This study applied explanatory research design with a Cross-sectional approach. The study population was selected 197 menopausal women who were in 11 clusters in Diwek Jombang Regency. The participants were selected using Cluster Random sampling. The data analyzed by using the Partial Least Square test. The inclusion criteria of this research are 1) Women Menopause Age 45-55 years old experiencing anxiety, 2) Registered in couples of childbearing age records 2017 of Diwek District Health Center, while the exclusion criteria of this research are 1) Menopausal women single/ virgin, 2) Using tranquilizers, 3) Using hormone replacement therapy (TSH). Results: The results showed that (1) individual factors significantly influenced the evaluation of stress (path coefficient of -0.056, t = 3.74); (2) social networking significantly influences stress evaluation (path coefficient -0.147, t = 2.13); (3) social support significantly influences stress evaluation (path coefficient -0.117, t = 2.02); (4) social support significantly influences anxiety (path coefficient -0.326, t = 5.25); and (5) stress evaluation significantly influences anxiety (path coefficient 0.196, t = 9.07). Conclusion: The development of social support models to reduce postmenopausal anxiety has a significant direct effect. The development of the model consists of stress assessment consisting of experience, trust, coping resources, informative support and award support. The development of social support is highly recommended to reduce anxiety among menopausal women by promoting stress evaluation and social support from close relationships. The sample consisted of 907 students (53.4% women) between 17 and 26 years old from public and private universities in the metropolitan city of Lima. The measurement instruments were the EAG and the Positive and Negative Affect Scale (SPANAS for its acronym in English). The results demonstrated the unidimensionality of the instrument through the evidence of validity of the internal structure and its relationship with other constructs, demonstrating in the latter a convergence with positive affect and divergence with negative affect. The reliability was acceptable with the Omega coefficient, and the measurement invariance in gender was demonstrated. These results contribute to the potential usefulness of the EAG in Peruvian university students, recommendations for future studies are established.","PeriodicalId":45616,"journal":{"name":"Ansiedad y Estres-Anxiety and Stress","volume":"10 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.2,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70891984","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The symptoms manifested by the patient incapacitated him for the service. Objective: The therapeutic objective is to control the patient’s stress symptoms and to normalize their psychological condition, to achieve their full return to active duty. Material and Methods: Single case design, pre-post treatment. The instruments used for the diagnosis and post-treatment measure were the Adaptation Questionnaire 6RA, the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory and the Acute Stress Symptoms Scale. A short therapeutic program of 7 sessions was applied, based on psychoeducation, cognitive restructuring, training in relaxation techniques and live exposure. Results: The post-treatment evaluation shows a significant reduction in the symptoms of acute stress. The normalization of the patient’s psychological condition allowed him to return to work, completing the rest of the mission without incident. Conclusions: This paper shows the effectiveness of brief psychotherapies for the treatment of stress disorders in military operations abroad. These psychotherapies allow the military to maintain its operability and rejoin the military service as soon as possible. Pre-deployment preventive measures are essential for the military’s adaptation.","PeriodicalId":45616,"journal":{"name":"Ansiedad y Estres-Anxiety and Stress","volume":"20 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.2,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70892426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Goal: To assess the perceptions reported by elderly people in various countries on the dimensions that evaluate the HRQoL of the SF-36 questionnaire. Method: A systematic review of the scientific production published in the Scopus, EBSCO, PubMed y LILACS databases during the months of June 1992-july 2020 was conducted. Results: Seventeen studies involving 79,542 elderly people from nine countries were included. The best perceptions were manifested in the Social Functioning dimension; the lowest were for General Health and Vitality. Conclusion: The SF-36 questionnaire is a pertinent tool to assess the HRQoL in elderly people from various countries. These people, by expressing their perception, give a determining weight to the Social Functioning dimension.","PeriodicalId":45616,"journal":{"name":"Ansiedad y Estres-Anxiety and Stress","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.2,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70891483","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In many situations, such as confinement situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is not possible to administer psychological instruments in person, as originally contemplated in their development. However, the mode of administration can affect the psychometric properties of instrument scores. The PTSD Checklist (PCL) is one of the most widely used instruments for assessing the symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in person. This study is the first research that has analyzed and compared the factorial structure, the internal consistency, the validity of contrasted groups, the diagnostic validity, and the nomological validity of scores on the PCL administered in person and by telephone.","PeriodicalId":45616,"journal":{"name":"Ansiedad y Estres-Anxiety and Stress","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.2,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70892005","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Objective: To develop a suicide risk model with a cross-cultural predictive capacity based on the clinical variables such as depression, hopelessness, and suicidal ideation, in two Latin American countries. Materials and Method: There was a final sample of 807 Mexican and Colombian adults, 278 men, and 531 women. Scales of hopelessness (IDIS), suicidal ideation (PANSI and IDIS), depression (SDS), and suicidal risk (SRS), were used. Two predictive hypotheses were tested: a) depression is associated with hopelessness and suicidal ideation in the same way in both countries, and b) suicidal ideation predicts suicide risk and is associated with depression and hopelessness. Results: The findings indicated high and significant correlations between the predictor and criterion variables. The model obtained showed a total explained variance of 67% of the suicide risk and 66% for each country. Conclusions: It was verified that the model was invariant between the samples of the two participating countries, which represented new evidence of the cross-cultural utility of the model obtained based on cognitions and affect on suicidal behavior.","PeriodicalId":45616,"journal":{"name":"Ansiedad y Estres-Anxiety and Stress","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.2,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70892089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Scientific literature has shown relation between the perception of a high Effort-Reward Imbalance (ERI) and poor health or disease in healthcare workers. The aim of the study was to carry out a systematic review of how psychosocial risks in the work environment, conceptualized from the effort-reward imbalance model, influence different dimensions of health or illness in health care professionals. Articles that were published between 2010 and 2019 were reviewed by consulting Web of Knowledge, PsycINFO and Scopus databases. 27 scientific articles were included. High ERI and over-commitment are associated with poor health or disease in different dimensions.The main limitations of this review are a possible publication bias and the impossibility of establishing causal relationships between environmental psychosocial risks and health or illness. It is necessary to address the psychosocial risks of the health care work environment and to imple- ment improvement programs to achieve a good balance between efforts and rewards.","PeriodicalId":45616,"journal":{"name":"Ansiedad y Estres-Anxiety and Stress","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.2,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70893285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
