Prediction of Centromere Location in Human Chromosome Using Convolutional Neural Networks 用卷积神经网络预测人类染色体中的中心点位置

Pojskić","doi":"10.18421/tem123-02","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18421/tem123-02","url":null,"abstract":"Accurate determination of chromosome centromere location is of high importance in cytogenetics, particularly in karyotyping, chromosome classification and determination of exposure to genotoxic environmental effects. This study investigates the ability of CNN to accurately predict the human chromosome centromere location and the effect centering chromosomes in images, by predicted centromere location, has on classification accuracy. Dataset, used to train and test CNN models, contained 8283 annotated individual chromosome images. Prior to performing centromere detection, followed by chromosome classification, the individual chromosome images are preprocessed using sequence of filtering algorithms. The CNN model achieved an average error of 0.5586 and 0.4543 in predicting x and y coordinates of centromere location, respectively. The achieved classification accuracy of randomly oriented and centered chromosomes in images, is 71.10 and 96.73%, respectively. Objective of the study is to identify the determinants of a harvested area in small cocoa production units in Huila. A correlational method, cross section, and quantitative approach was used with data from the last National agricultural census. Results of the study revealed that major area does not use credit, advice and irrigation increase the area while the organic fertilization is positive. Those displaced by violence have less harvest area and the primary and secondary sectors are positively associated with an increase in area. It can be concluded that the determinants of harvested area identified in this study exhibit a low management behavior in the agronomic practices of cocoa producers that limit the expansion of the harvested area in Huila. This aspect affects the medium and long-term economic sustainability of this agricultural activity. These concerns make it difficult for analysts to predict laboratory equipment depreciation. Therefore, this research aims to create a new model to address this issue. Additionally, to support laboratory managers in gaining insights, a technology-based framework in the form of a laboratory equipment depreciation prediction model has been developed. A new model has been created in this research, which integrates supervised learning models with linear regression algorithms, and subsequently employs a waterfall system development approach. The testing results of the model for predicting laboratory equipment depreciation showed a high level of accuracy, reaching 93%. Furthermore, the comparison between the prediction model and the laboratory equipment data tested directly by technicians demonstrated an accuracy rate of 100%. The learning outcome assessment is one of the most important elements to enhance and assure the quality of programs. In this paper, we present a “tour” of how an assessment cycle is performed in a national/public university in Qatar. The study draws on “good” practices and how a higher education institution systemizes the process of assessing learning. The approach demonstrates how learning is connected to program objectives and the curriculum through a rational, logical, conceptual, consensual, and interpretable process. Employing specification tables known as curriculum and assessment plan matrices, with tools being assessments and rubrics, learning outcomes measures can be reached. The approach as well as system calls for an institutional structure and organization which place responsibilities on all stakeholders involved in academic programs delivery. This makes them attractive for use in signal processing. The present work considers problems that arise when using a polynomial model with a local quadratic trend for Bayesian fusion of two humidity sensors. The unknown sensor biases make it impossible for the model to satisfy the observability conditions. There is currently no general solution to this problem. To overcome this difficulty, an approach is presented where the humidity measurement result implicitly includes the bias of one of the sensors. This research investigates the use of GAs for teaching digital filter design, where the evaluation function of the problem is optimized using Gas. The GAs toolbox simulation is designed to yield a stable, lowest-order H[z] that meets the tolerance parameters and satisfies the design criteria. This study presents a project-based learning framework that promotes students’ communication skills in a software engineering project course. The questionnaire on self-efficacy for software development (CSESD) was designed for students’ self-assessment of their confidence in communication skills. Findings indicate that students’ CSESD increased significantly after the course ended. Educators can apply the designed framework to software development-related project courses. The application is designed to support the teaching and learning of troubleshooting logical circuits by providing students with a platform to practice troubleshooting and allowing teachers to monitor students' progress. The web application features an interactive interface that allows students to simulate and troubleshoot logical circuits using the method of truth table. The application also provides students with immediate feedback on their troubleshooting attempts and highlights areas that need improvement. Furthermore, the application has a tracking system that allows instructors to monitor students' progress and identify areas where students may need additional support. The analysis is performed using World Bank data from 92 countries with at least 60 interludes and is subjected to a polynomial function model. The results show that the curve is N-shaped for countries with high per capita income. The fulfillment of the turn for Ecuador is related to a trend that can accept the assumption of the Kuznets Environmental Curve. The study was carried out due to the fact that global factors of population formation create a multicultural environment, which forms the conditions of multicultural education.
