The analysis is performed using World Bank data from 92 countries with at least 60 interludes and is subjected to a polynomial function model. The results show that the curve is N-shaped for countries with high per capita income. The fulfillment of the turn for Ecuador is related to a trend that can accept the assumption of the Kuznets Environmental Curve. Likewise, the study is limited to the ambiguities in the heterogeneity between countries, therefore, the analysis of the effectiveness of environmental policies, spatial variations and the long-term trend is recommended as future research.","PeriodicalId":45439,"journal":{"name":"TEM Journal-Technology Education Management Informatics","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42297434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, our research objective is to analyze the perspectives of formative assessment with university students, so we used the methodology of quantitative and descriptive-correlational, non-experimental approach through an online survey with a validated measurement instrument, as the sample consisted of 3944 university students. The results are significant and validated by different statistics such as Cronbach's Alpha (0.951) in the Peruvian context, the formative evaluation methodology is accepted by university students in a positive way. Concluding that there are still teachers who do not adequately apply formative evaluation and that students are still shy to communicate with their teachers in order to request a feedback.","PeriodicalId":45439,"journal":{"name":"TEM Journal-Technology Education Management Informatics","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135741149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The identification of the most significant features was a key outcome of this research, and the college/university databases from online learning platforms are the main academic data sets used to ascertain performance. However, previous research emphasized the addition of other significant features in the prediction of academic performance. Universities’ organizational features include non-academic essential data used in determining student success, but no research has utilized this data to predict student academic performance. Generally, to evaluate binary classification, the relationship between the predicted classifications and the true classifications is analyzed, this approach can lead to the loss of important information from the data. Furthermore, to avoid such loss, this research proposes a regression model by comparing six regression algorithms, and combining academic and non-academic features for prediction student academic performance. Among the various models examined, the gradient-boosted trees regression model demonstrated the lowest error rate. The proposed features have been observed to have a significant impact on academic performance, making them suitable for use in predictions.","PeriodicalId":45439,"journal":{"name":"TEM Journal-Technology Education Management Informatics","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135791997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
