Se basa en resultados de una investigacion participativa realizada en 2019 con 51 residentes de larga estancia en tres barrios de Valparaiso (Chile). A partir de los relatos sobre sus experiencias pasadas y actuales, el trabajo se focaliza en las nostalgias que expresan respecto a su barrio de antes que, segun ellos, hoy no existirian mas. Estas nostalgias hacen aparecer representaciones e imaginarios distopicos que asocian con su barrio de hoy. A partir del analisis de estas representaciones y estos imaginarios distopicos, el articulo muestra que la trayectoria barrial descrita por los habitantes revela una comunidad barrial deseada, vinculada con un pasado que nunca se concreto totalmente. En este sentido, el articulo plantea que para estos habitantes el barrio se piensa y se concibe como lugar distopico, tensionado entre deseos y anhelos por un pasado idealizado y disconformidad por la situacion actual.","PeriodicalId":44990,"journal":{"name":"Revista INVI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45208908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mediante la construccion de una tipologia de las trayectorias residenciales de los destinatarios de la vivienda social hecha a partir de un encuadre cuantitativo de analisis de secuencia multinivel, se problematiza la caracterizacion homogeneizante que la politica habitacional suele emplear sobre esta poblacion. Los resultados demuestran que las trayectorias residenciales previas de los destinatarios dan cuenta de diferentes niveles de vulnerabilidad y problematicas diversas frente a las cuales la politica habitacional, ignorando tales particularidades, ha ofrecido una solucion estandarizada que genera efectos limitados sobre estos hogares. En este sentido, las trayectorias residenciales se han perfilado como un mecanismo de diferenciacion que despierta efectos desiguales de la politica sobre las condiciones habitacionales de sus destinatarios.","PeriodicalId":44990,"journal":{"name":"Revista INVI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46915039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we highlight the presence of such spaces at the urban scale, as a product of political fragmentation, drawing from empirical evidence in Lima, Peru. Through a geohistorical analysis, a morphological examination, and a qualitative fieldwork, we show how these confines produce urban uncertainty and precarity. In a local context of undetermined administrative boundaries justifying territorial disputes between municipalities, we turn to the analysis of the practices of political informality between municipal authorities and inhabitants as well as the inhabitants' strategies to adapt themselves to this context of urban geopolitics. This will show that these practices produce an original form of urbanity and citadinity. The dynamics of the urban fabric and territorial control reveal confines as geographical spaces that combine precariousness and informality, the latter being a constraint and a resource both for municipalities and inhabitants. The discussion of urban confines in relation to urban margins leads us to a reflection on precariousness, stressing the role of relationships of power and trust developed in these disputed and uncertain territories.","PeriodicalId":44990,"journal":{"name":"Revista INVI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49364257","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The uprising affected various crucial infrastructures for the functioning of the city, exposing its inhabitants to uncertainty. The article explores the practices deployed by women pedestrians to negotiate this uncertain scenario using the walking interview technique. This includes monitoring their immediate and the general context, dealing with new ways of feeling vulnerable, and developing affective connections with other city inhabitants through emotions of politicization. In recognizing the adaptive and affective aspects of walking and its capacity to connect with political processes, it invites the development of forms of planning that eschew traditional aspirations of control and the standardization of bodies and practices.","PeriodicalId":44990,"journal":{"name":"Revista INVI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49452659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, it presents a case study developed in the sector of El Castillo, in the commune of La Pintana. The aim is situating habitat and neighborhood landscape in a scenario that has been struck by globalization, environmental and health crises, and the expansion of capitalism. This work is based on an intrinsic and instrumental case study. Villa Nueva Patagonia was chosen given its location within the five communes with worst urban life quality index in the country. The study develops a qualitative approach, where the focus of the analysis has been the inhabitants' discourses concerning their territory, seen from the dimension of landscape and habitat. Findings show that it is impossible to speak of a finished landscape, as there is a tension between what is expected, and the activities observed in different places. There is a close relationship between the idealization of its inhabitants and the sector settlement history. These changes have generated and cemented externalities and inequalities, accumulating unsuspected effects of discomfort in the long term. From there, the landscape can be understood as the memory of the territory.","PeriodicalId":44990,"journal":{"name":"Revista INVI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44881436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although this problem has been addressed from the environmental sciences and public health, few studies have sought to address the inhabitants' experiences as a necessary factor to consider in urban-environmental planning. From the perspective of environmental suffering, the study aims to show how, despite the abundance of scientific information on the potential incidence of pollution, the absence of concrete measures to address the problem generates uncertainties, confusion, and resignation among the habitants. Through an analysis of qualitative information and public health reports, the article shows that the contamination of Chanaral is an environmental and biomedical fact and an evident socio-cultural phenomenon in the construction of meanings about the inhabited territory and narratives about everyday toxicity. The study concludes that there is a relationship between the daily suffering and the uncertainties in the face of the potential toxic risk, which translates into environmental suffering as there are no concrete measures that aim to address the problem entirely.","PeriodicalId":44990,"journal":{"name":"Revista INVI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46816652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Spain, such access has changed significantly since the Great Recession due to the increase in the importance of private rentals and rents rise. This article describes and analyzes the dynamics of the increase in rents and its socio-spatial effects, in detail and territorial organization for the city of Madrid (2015-2018). To this end, it uses innovative statistical sources and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze the territorial unfolding and the socio-spatial consequences of this new residential model. The results show the exclusionary character of the urban center, which displaces the most precarious fractions of the most qualified groups, increasing the residential pressure on the popular peripheries of the city. This dynamic reveals the incidence of a new wave of gentrification supported by the rent bubble, a source of uncertain residential growth in the urban peripheries.","PeriodicalId":44990,"journal":{"name":"Revista INVI","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46361681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
