DEA has found its useful applications in agriculture to examine optimal resource use for sustainable consumption. The popularly used two-step process where DEA is employed along with a regression model to explain the impact of exogenous factors on efficiency has been employed in past studies. This article aims to combine the conventional DEA approach with machine learning (ML) models for establishing a novel alternative method for performance measurement as well as the prediction of key exogenous factors affecting the efficiency of the women self-help groups (SHGs) led poultry farmers in sub-Himalayan North Bengal surrounding the Siliguri region of Darjeeling district. For this purpose, in the first step, DEA was employed to measure the efficiency of 80 women poultry farmers belonging to 20 SHGs and in the second step, the state-of-the-art random forest (RF) technique has been employed to predict the most important efficiency influencing variables. The results suggested inefficiencies among the SHG women with wide variation between the efficient and inefficient units. The use of the RF model predicted important factors such as the role of non-governmental organizations, educational level, financial inclusion, landholding and poultry rearing experience in years to impact the efficiency of these women farmers. As a result, the hybrid DEA-ML approach is useful to tackle ill adversities in poultry production that may help the women SHGs to develop agriculture-based income.","PeriodicalId":44860,"journal":{"name":"Vision-The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.8,"publicationDate":"2023-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74527665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data was gathered using a quantitative technique based on questionnaires to study a total of 206 accountants and auditors, and was analysed using the PLS-SEM method to determine influential factors and their relationships. In addition, we compare the PLS-SEM results with a recently established approach of panel data fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). The results reveal that the components of finance, tasks, technology, epidemics, knowledge readiness and trust all have a favourable impact on the use of AI in Accounting and Auditing in Vietnam. Besides, the fsQCA results are consistent with the PLS-SEM method, which means that our findings are robust and valid. This study adds empirical evidence to the scientific literature on AI in Accounting and Auditing, which will be immensely beneficial for legislators and businesses looking to improve company efficiency. Besides, applying the fsQCA approach contributes significantly to the existing literature about the research method.","PeriodicalId":44860,"journal":{"name":"Vision-The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.8,"publicationDate":"2023-05-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78123003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite extant literature, the current dynamics and research diversity of turnover intention (TI) remain obscure. Therefore, this study aims at conducting a bibliometric analysis of TI in the domain of business and management. In this study, articles containing predefined protocols have been extracted from the Web of Science database. In addition, the 936 articles published between 2002 and 2022 were analysed using bibliometric methods such as performance analysis and science mapping. The study highlighted the top contributing nations, most influential authors, leading journals, co-authorship collaborations and major research areas. Furthermore, the science mapping approach resulted in the formation of major clusters highlighting the significant themes of the TI literature. We have followed the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) methodology to select appropriate articles that meet our research objectives and carried out a bibliometric analysis to obtain a network visualization map based on keyword co-occurrences. We find that most of the studies have focused primarily on the return predictability aspect of stock returns. We suggest that the methodology should be extended towards incorporating other aspects of adaptive behaviours, such as investor behaviour, cyclical profitability of trading strategies and price–volume relationships in order to get a more comprehensive picture of the nature of adaptive stock markets. The review also demonstrates how the location of the stock market and methodology used in study influences the conclusions drawn regarding the nature of adaptive efficiency.","PeriodicalId":44860,"journal":{"name":"Vision-The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.8,"publicationDate":"2023-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90241245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The timeframe of this study is January 1996 to January 2022. The study has been conducted, based on monthly data. The present study employs a structural vector auto regression as well as NARDL model to understand the asymmetry of these structural shocks. Our findings are in contradiction to the popular perception of the Press that crude oil price and equity market returns are inversely related. The present study found that different structural shocks have very different impacts on the stock returns. Our study also adds to the existing literature, as it showed that both the Chinese and Indian markets react in similar fashion to structural shocks in the crude oil market. Structural shocks have no impact on the Indian market, whereas there is a significant asymmetric impact of only precautionary demand shock in, both, the long and short runs, in the context of the Chinese market.","PeriodicalId":44860,"journal":{"name":"Vision-The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.8,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72396216","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cross-Sectional Absolute Deviation developed by Chiang and Zheng (2010) and Chang et al. (2000) examine market-wide herding. Results show that herding is prevalent in Brazil, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, China-Shanghai, China-Shenzhen and Turkey. During the epidemic, no evidence of herding was detected in France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, the United Kingdom and the United States. It has been shown that the United States and Chinese cross-market herding substantially influences all markets. The impact of analyst information (target price, EPS forecasts and revenue predictions) on herding is shown before the pandemic and weakening during the pandemic. It indicates that investors disregard expert recommendations and liquidate equities during the pandemic. The findings shed light on the occurrence and determinants of herding that causes investors’ to behave irrationally during COVID-19. Policymakers, government and regulators should formulate a more robust policy to monitor, control and oversee the naïve herding that drives fundamentals away from stock prices.","PeriodicalId":44860,"journal":{"name":"Vision-The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.8,"publicationDate":"2023-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75081885","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research objective was to analyse the pool of scientific publications from the Scopus database to analyse how emerging technologies have improved customer journey (pre-purchase, purchase, post-purchase). The research employed a publication search by article title, abstract and keywords to collect the data set from the Scopus database. The selected publications were visualized using the software VOSviewer 1.6.16.0, and Biblioshiny to perform bibliometric analyses. An initial sample of 356 research articles was collected. After reading the abstract and full article, a final corpus of 149 scientific publications over two decades (1989–2021) was analysed in the study. Our findings suggest the prominence of authors and journal publishing in implementing AI in retail to automate customer journey. The results highlight how the application of AI fosters in improving the different phases of customer journey among the retailing sectors. Banking and fashion are the retailing sectors that have major applications of AI in the customer journey. Further studies should be conducted to gain deeper insights into the emerging use of AI in other sectors of the economy. It was also found from the intensive literature review that in the purchasing and decision-making phase of the customer journey, the deployment of AI is the most. This study analysed the incorporation of AI into the customer journey to highlight its impact on retailing. This study contributes to the literature by adding the lenses of AI in key management areas in retailing.","PeriodicalId":44860,"journal":{"name":"Vision-The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.8,"publicationDate":"2023-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87754332","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The consequential impact of a strike can be a make or break for the organization. Though strikes are more common in banking sector and manufacturing sector, the possibility of strikes in other sectors cannot be ruled out in the future, owing to several court verdicts in the past few years. Hence, it is imperative on every executive manager or a business leader to have a good understanding of the procedural and legal aspects of strikes and the resolution process. In addition, human resource managers needs to have a thorough understanding of the same, because they play a key role in the resolution process. From that standpoint, this case offers myriad details and raises fundamental questions. The purpose of this case is to place the students in the middle of a crisis to understand few practical aspects related to Industrial Disputes (ID) Act 1947. The specific objectives are to explicate the legality of the strike, the standard procedures to be followed in case of a dispute or non-agreement between parties, the practical application of collective bargaining and the tactics used to resolve disputes. This case will enable a better understanding of the industrial relations scenario and enhance the appreciation of the same. This case is suitable for any post graduate student interested in understanding the labour–employer relationship in an industrial context.","PeriodicalId":44860,"journal":{"name":"Vision-The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":2.8,"publicationDate":"2023-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88098021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
