Tajik historians have focused on economic development, primarily in agriculture, labour feat and assistance to the front. In recent years, various papers were published about the difficult living conditions of the population, work of health authorities, reception and accommodation of evacuees and special settlers. Analysis of archival intelligence demonstrated that statistical information about the population contained in the archives of Tajikistan and Russia will form the basis for studying demographic processes in war conditions.","PeriodicalId":448106,"journal":{"name":"Paradigms and models of demographic development. The marriage rates in the city varied in waves influenced by changes in the number of Tagil residents at a young marriageable age. There was a gradual shift in the registration of marriages to a more mature age. The wide spread of repeated and unregistered marriages in the city, as well as high divorce rates indicate a violation of the stability of marriage, which negatively affects the reproduction of the population. To increase the birth rate, measures aimed at strengthening the family are necessary.","PeriodicalId":448106,"journal":{"name":"Paradigms and models of demographic development. The emergence of a solid material base and experienced personnel of the institute was investi gated based on a historical-genetic method. The study contributes to a deep analysis of the historical evolution and current demographic structures of the Ural population. Historical-genetic and comparative-historical approaches were used as the main research methods. The range of issues included in the problematic field of historical research is revealed. The results of the study of regional demographic structures are analysed. The information resources of scientific research are identified. It is shown that historical studies on the topic of demographic structures are associated with solving the task of assessing exogenous (social) and endogenous (evolutionary) factors of formation and structural-dynamic changes in age and sex, marriage and family, ethnic and social structures of the population. These work were mainly based on the analysis of all-Union cen suses with the occasional involvement of other historical sources. At the present stage of historiography, scientists study primary sources in order to examine the population at the micro level of historical reality. The study of the topic of demographic structures is characterised by fragmentation. This region is characterised by climatic conditions of the Far North, poor quality of infrastructure, supply problems in the absence of its own agriculture and long transportation. The strategic programmes of the region are focused on increasing the active longevity of people and the formation of a healthy lifestyle. Significant problems in the implementation of regional programmes due to specific conditions are described. The project execution in the region is hampered by the problems of budget formation, the complexity of organising coordinated interaction between various departments and involved business structures, the lack of specialists and special diagnostic equipment, excessive bureaucratic procedures.","PeriodicalId":448106,"journal":{"name":"Paradigms and models of demographic development. Municipalities of the Republic of Bashkortostan are highly differentiated in terms of both the level of socio-economic development and the demographic potential. To analyse the demographic situation, the Demographic Well-Being Index was introduced, whose criteria are eight indicators taking into account all demographic processes. After a linear transformation of demographic indicators in the range [0, …, 1], the Index was calculated for each municipality. Then, a rating assessment of municipalities by demographic indicators was performed. The rating assessment identified not only leaders and outsiders among municipalities in the demographic development, but also clearly showed all problem areas. The results of the rating can become the basis for developing measures to improve the demographic situation in each municipality.","PeriodicalId":448106,"journal":{"name":"Paradigms and models of demographic development. Historical sources and the process of accumulating knowledge about the number of city residents were examined. Analysis of population data revealed that the process of collecting demographic information on Russia (and, accordingly, on Ekaterinburg) took a century and a half (from the 18th century until almost the 1870s). The role of the head of the Ekaterinburg mining plants, academician I. F. Herman, in the development of population tables is shown. Since 1873, when the first one-day census of the city’s population was conducted, and then 1887, statistical and demographic information has become representative. The main source for examining the population formation of the city were the censuses of 1897, 1920, 1923, 1926, 1931, 1937, 1939, 1959, 1979, 1989, 2002, 2010, as well as the current population records. A brief review of historical literature showed that the study of the population of Ekaterinburg is in its infancy.","PeriodicalId":448106,"journal":{"name":"Paradigms and models of demographic development. The research studies the parameters of the age structure of population, the factors contributing to the growth of demographic load and the disproportion of age structure of the population of largest cities in the South of Russia. The study used a statistical method, including the collection, processing, analysis of demographic statistics on the age structure in the considered cities, the calculation of demographic coefficients, their examination and interpretation of the obtained values. The research is based on the hypothesis of accelerated population ageing in the largest cities that demonstrated an increase in the share of the population over the working age along with a decrease in the share of people under the working age. It was concluded that all large cities in the considered region are characterised by a model of regressive age structure of population; a more positive situation is observed in cities with a higher birth rate.","PeriodicalId":448106,"journal":{"name":"Paradigms and models of demographic development. Both the clinical community and medical historians did not examine this topic, which is a source of speculation. The citation is clearly strange: while no one cites archival documents from that period, almost all sources (from infectologists to journalists), however, indicate striking demographic losses from the Spanish flu. The author conducted an archival search and analysis of events according to the original Soviet documents for this particular period. It was observed how the events of that pandemic looked like more than a century ago, not how they are seen today from the digital future. It was also concluded that the statistics of mortality and demographic losses from the Spanish flu were sharply overestimated","PeriodicalId":448106,"journal":{"name":"Paradigms and models of demographic development.
