Boundaries between two regions of opposite polarities in periodically-poled lithium niobate (PPLN) and in muscle myosin are compared, and shown to produce respectively incoherent contributions to the SHG signal and artefactual interferences. I-SHG allows to remove those artifacts, which opens a great opportunity for a better characterization of SHG images of various materials, especially complex media like biological tissues.","PeriodicalId":448071,"journal":{"name":"2019 Photonics North (PN)","volume":"149 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127518013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
