The purpose and objective is to provide scientific concepts related to the spatial arrangement under flyovers that are not currently well managed and tend to cause acts of vandalism in the space. The construction of flying cross-construction in several plot areas is generally a new open open space linearly. underneath. Thus the space under the flyover which was initially unproductive will become a point of interest for the surrounding environment. Furthermore, a well-organized space and area will certainly generate economic growth through the support of a well-planned and correct management system. Based on a spatial analysis that is adapted to the function of public space, good planning and management is needed to support and maintain the continuity of activities through creativity and interesting information for the public in public spaces under the Ampera Medan railway flyover. The arrangement of open areas located in flyover and railway areas often creates contradictions and social problems that are quite crucial, especially related to state-owned land ownership. The open space under the Ampera Medan road overpass is currently a lost area (unproductive land) and an act of vandalism that contains immoral messages. As the core subject, Architectural Design Studio (ADS) influences the students, particularly in terms of design. Being the architect candidate, the student is encouraged to elaborate on local-cultural values in their design, so that, the student will design a building that reflects a specific region and become the image of the place. Incorporating cultural values into the ADS assignment is one effective way to encourage students elaborate and design the built environment with a cultural approach. This research aims to see students’ competence in elaborating local-cultural values in their design and to assess the quality of cultural values implementation in ADS 5 assignment of Architecture Department Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh’s student. The research method is descriptive and qualitative. The participant in this study is a student enrolled in ADS 5 during the 2018/2019 semester. The student design projects as the main data are analyzed using a semiotic analysis approach. The result indicates that the characteristic of the stilt house and the characteristic triangle-shaped are the most frequently applied characteristic of the student design.","PeriodicalId":447776,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Koridor","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131343036","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lake Siombak is a nature-based tourism in Medan Marelan District which is currently growing because of its considerable potential in the future. However, based on BPS data from the Medan Marelan District (2019), there are no lodging facilities in tourist areas in Medan Marelan. Even though these facilities can improve tourism services, especially for tourists from outside the region, especially if the facilities are modern and Instagramable. For that, what are the criteria for Instagramable tourism facilities? And how to design and apply the criteria for Instagramable tourism facilities into the design of Boutique Hotels in the Lake Siombak tourist area?. The method used to answer the design questions uses qualitative analysis methods in the form of observations, interviews and literature. So the result is a Boutique Hotel design with Instagramable architecture which has a unique building design with a Lake Siombak landscape which is a plus for this boutique hotel and is equipped with recreational facilities such as swimming pools, outdoor dining areas, playgrounds, piers and many photo spot areas that can be used as background for taking selfies of visitors.","PeriodicalId":447776,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Koridor","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121371853","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dynamics of social, economic, and policy changes occur along with the development of people's lives. Many factors lead to changes in urban environmental conditions. These dynamics are responded to by the community by making adaptations, both building adaptations and behavioral adaptations. The ability to improve the outcome of existing buildings through adaptation is essential to improving the building environment sustainability. Thus, research on the phenomenon of adaptability is essential and relevant to be carried out, considering that changes in environmental conditions cannot be avoided. Hence, adjustment or adaptation of buildings is necessary. This study's objective is to establish the scope of the research discussion on the topic of adaptability that has been carried out. This research is literature review research with a comparison-content analysis as an empirical method. This study reviews 30 adaptability papers published between 1989 and 2020. The method of analysis is mapping the research literature with the adaptability topic by comparing the substance of the research based on the research focus, objectives, and adaptability research objects carried out. From this research, it can be concluded that research on adaptability can be categorized based on the scope of the research area, the typology of the building being studied, and the research locus. The research results hopefully could provide an extension of other research, specifically in building adaptation. It is recommended that further research on the phenomenon of housing adaptation can be carried out with adaptability research in suburban and rural areas. In addition, research can be developed on location settings with different characteristics, such as housing in coastal settlements or settlements in highland settlements.","PeriodicalId":447776,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Koridor","volume":"429 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126091669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
