The object of the study is Western cinema. The subject of the study is the influence of Western cinema on the representation of Russian youth about same-sex relationships. To determine what influence Western cinema had on the representation of modern Russian youth about same-sex relationships, the authors conducted a sociological study, presenting three hypotheses. The author examines the basic technological techniques of manipulation used in the film industry to effectively influence the viewer, reveals the main aspects of the use of these technologies, both from a negative and positive point of view, actualizing the inconsistency of this problem. The author examines various technological techniques used in the film industry to create artistic images of historical figures and reconstruct historical events. In particular, in the article, using the example of the film \"Azazel\", the author analyzes techniques that allow the viewer to immerse himself in the era of the early 20th century, to understand its characteristic features and the reasons for the events that took place.
