Based on Microteaching technique, each session was video-recorded and monitored for self-evaluation and on spot feedback during session. Class teaching follows a routine; a class preparation, a class set-up, a teaching practice, and feedback. As for the final of the whole session, meta-feedback was required in the form of writing, and separately processed from feedbacks of each session. Through this research, pre-service teachers have opportunities not just sharing class performance but also other participant’s feedbacks on individual performance. As a result, the choices of class goals, methods of activities, and approaches to problems are changed compared to the beginning sessions, and especially participant’s understanding on what is necessary for better class performance is specified and becomes more practical.","PeriodicalId":447068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of u- and e- Service, Science and Technology","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129002563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To manage all the information and keep up with the ever-changing rules and regulations of government about the insurance policies demands a fast and robust application. This paper aims to explain such an application. Pega is used to build this application because of Pega’s benefits such as Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO), Situation Layer Cake, etc are used by most of the leading businesses nowadays. The paper also discusses some of the other software used in BPM development like Oracle and IBM. An application system is created using Pega PRPC which can handle multiple insurance claims. The system has different lines for handling different claims like health, auto, home, travel, etc. Pega’s unique features are used not only to create the application but also allow system architects to maintain the system.","PeriodicalId":447068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of u- and e- Service, Science and Technology","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126818903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, despite its wide acceptance by the scientific community, there is not a formal framework that can guide step by step to the specialists on how to execute the entire evaluation process. The literature only provides general recommendations that were established by the original author of the technique. However, through an in-depth review of the recent studies which describe the use of this method in the context of software applications, we have developed an own proposal. The new approach consolidates several perspectives from different authors who have used the method in diverse domains. This paper is focused on the validation of our new protocol to conduct heuristic evaluations. For this purpose, an experimental case study was carried out in the Web domain with the participation of twenty postgraduate students. The results establish that more accurate results are obtained when a structured process is followed.","PeriodicalId":447068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of u- and e- Service, Science and Technology","volume":"164 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121700179","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Serious mobile learning games can support such activities by leveraging the affordances of mobile devices such as location awareness, Internet connectivity and multimedia support. This paper describes a serious mobile learning game, developed for the Android platform, designed to allow learners to play the role of business consultants to an organization facing some serious challenges. The game uses mixed reality resources to lead the players through a realistic scenario, providing them with physical, cognitive and collaborative challenges. Focusing on key 21st century cognitive and collaborative skills, we present the result of an experiment designed to measure the effectiveness of the game in terms of the impact of working with others in higher level learning. We introduce the concept of coordinated individual flow experience as an analytical approach to evaluating the effects of delayed collaborative learning. Our results raise challenging questions about whether some learning experiences that encourage realistic team working may not be entirely compatible with emphasizing cognitive skills.","PeriodicalId":447068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of u- and e- Service, Science and Technology","volume":"14 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116811059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The suggestions provided are aimed at supporting their users in various decision making processes such as what items to buy, what music to listen, what profiles to browse, or what news to read. Eventually, personalization technology has the potential to optimize service for each user’s needs and behaviors. This service is to allow user to customize the service itself, and proactively tailor services based on information from past service historical data. After all, these approaches function best when user knows what they want and require, and when their behaviors and preferences remain consistent over context. Authenticating the users in the smartcard based applications through data embedment is a promising research area. Because of the simplicity of used computing devices, i.e. processors, less memory, of the terminals, least significant bit (LSB) replacement schemes are used to hide the secret information in a photograph inside into the card. Nevertheless, there are statistical tests like Chi-Square test, comparison of histograms of pixel values of original and modified images, regular and singularity test of the pixel values, which can guess the possibility of modifications in the LSBs of image data. In this research, a new smartcard authentication scheme is proposed by embedding random number of bits into each pixel. The number of replaced bits in the i th pixel may not be the same of (i+1) th or other pixels. Security of the scheme is further enhanced by relating the starting position of the data embedment process with the user password as well as allowing that starting position in the image to be dissimilar for different user. The scheme is tested experimentally and it is found that it operates","PeriodicalId":447068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of u- and e- Service, Science and Technology","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122445836","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This slows down the game speed and sometimes leads to interruption of game proceedings. Accordingly, the game service providers are adding more servers for their games to allow better performance but increasing the number of servers means more expenditure for the service providers. Meanwhile, the microprocessors often used for the games have become faster and cheaper and the studies on the cluster systems which enable more efficient game performance are being carried out widely by the game companies instead of just adding more servers. The problem in using a cluster system is that the performance efficiency and the effects of the utilized cluster system can only be guaranteed through a program that has used a specific parallel programing method. Without this programing technique, the benefits of using cluster systems in games are minimal. An Eco-Server that fully allows a large number of gamer accesses has been implemented in this study to surmount the problem. For the experimental model, a new platform technology for the smart phone game which uses a Linux-based network server has been designed and implemented.","PeriodicalId":447068,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of u- and e- Service, Science and Technology","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126015648","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
