The study employed a cross-sectional survey design in which 368 students were sampled from a population of 8,989 (male 60.6%; female 39.4%) undergraduates at Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) following a stratified random sampling technique. Data were obtained via an instrument called the University Examination Anxiety Scale (UEAS) whose reliability coefficient of 0.699 was estimated through the Cronbach Alpha statistic. Five null hypotheses were tested with t-test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 0.05 significance. Findings from the study revealed a significant prevalence of examination anxiety among undergraduates. Whereas the prevalence of examination anxiety did not differ with respect to gender, age group, and students-faculty, a significant difference was however established among the various levels of the undergraduate programme in the university. The implication of these findings for counselling is that the tension induced by test anxiety needs to be reduced to enable the students concentrate on their examination. This could be achieved by employing biofeedback and psycho-education approaches. The study recommends among others that counsellors should empower undergraduate students with simple strategies to reduce examination anxiety such as mindfulness techniques and simple deep breathing exercises.","PeriodicalId":447056,"journal":{"name":"Shodh Sari-An International Multidisciplinary Journal","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135706010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A lot of efforts have been made at the various level Governments in the world. The Indian Government, especially Indian judicial organ has also contributed a lot in this direction. In fact, in India, environmental law is basically emerged out of provisions of the Constitution i.e., fundamental right to live in pollution free environment, directive principles and fundamental duties under Article 21, Article 48-A and Article 51-A (g) respectively. However, still the pollution has been increasing with great pace. The objective of the paper is to emphasize upon the efforts made by the judiciary and to be made by the general public especially youth in India as it is only the youth who is going to suffer in future due to the environmental un-sustainability. In order to achieve this objective, various statutory enactments at the global and national level along with landmark judgements and contributory work of the eminent jurists have been analyzed deeply. Finally, it has been concluded that without the participation of the youth in this direction, this menace is very difficult to be curbed. The Government need to support the youth by creating awareness amongst the youth along with properly monitoring the implementation of the legal statutory provisions for the wholesome realization of the human right to environmental sustainability.","PeriodicalId":447056,"journal":{"name":"Shodh Sari-An International Multidisciplinary Journal","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135922352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dattani’s plays often explore the experiences of women in India, and how they are affected by social and cultural norms. This paper tries to discuss and explore the themes of gender discrimination, incest, patriarchy, women subordination, and power. In his plays, women are often shown as victims of patriarchal society. However, they also show how women can fight back against these forces. Dattani’s plays show that women are not simply victims of patriarchal society. They are strong and resilient individuals who can fight back against oppression. His plays offer a message of hope to women everywhere. In many of his plays, he explores the ways in which women are subjected to violence and discrimination and how they are fighting back against traumatic situations, such as abuse, incest, gender discrimination, and violence. Dattani’s plays are important because they give voice to the experiences of women who are often silenced. He shows that women are capable of overcoming adversity and resilience, and they will not hesitate to fight back for their rights. His plays also challenge traditional gender roles and stereotypes, and they offer a vision of a more just and equitable society.","PeriodicalId":447056,"journal":{"name":"Shodh Sari-An International Multidisciplinary Journal","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135706415","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lameed, Olayemi Muyideen Adesanya","doi":"10.59231/sari7616","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.59231/sari7616","url":null,"abstract":"Drone application and implementation in various domains of work and life have transformed technology in numerous ways. Drone technology has greatly benefited various industries while also making the lives of various professionals easier in completing complex tasks in a short period. Studies proved that by introducing drones into classrooms, teachers would have a new means to make learning more fun, innovative, interactive, and collaborative for students. Drones can be applied in challenging subjects like sciences: Computer science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, and others to clear off difficulties in some abstract concepts by giving real-world applications to the problems. However, some teachers are skeptical of the use of drones in science teaching and learning. The purpose of this paper is to investigate teachers’ actions and reactions to the application and implementation of drone technology in the classroom. It goes on to explain how teachers’ knowledge and professional development, students’ attention being diverted to technology design and models rather than learning outcomes, a lack of adequate technical support, and fear of technological maintenance cost and sustainability all serve as barriers to proper drone implementation in the classroom. Using Google Forms, teachers (both pre-service and in-service) were asked how the aforementioned factors affect drone application. Given the time constraints for this study, a purposive sampling approach was used to recruit 60 respondents. The instrument’s contents were validated with the use of the ‘face validity’ method. The 0.77 reliability index demonstrated that the instrument’s reliability strengths were accurately positive. The collected and compiled results were analyzed using graphical representations for better presentation and visualization. According to the findings, teachers’ knowledge of emerging technologies and professional development needs to be improved to keep up with the trend and applications of various tools that can aid effective science teaching and learning. Similarly, proper guidance is required to prevent students from becoming distracted by the fashion and gleaming designs of drones. Similarly, the government should provide maximum support to schools through subsidies to ensure technology accessibility. The functionality, safety, and care of the drones should also be maintained by the school administration. It is then suggested that frequent training and re-training for both teaching and non-teaching staff be organized to ensure proper and continuous use of drones in classrooms.","PeriodicalId":447056,"journal":{"name":"Shodh Sari-An International Multidisciplinary Journal","volume":"205 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122528738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
