Agriculture constitutes the predominant sector of the Indian economy, employing more than sixty percent of the nation’s total workforce. Previously, India was depended on imports to sustain its vast population, but now it is exporting food grains after the successful implementation of the green revolution. The Green Revolution resulted in a significant increase in food production in India. However, the ecosystem has persistently degraded, particularly in terms of soil quality, vegetation health, and water resources. India has endured significant costs in achieving food security, including the depletion of subterranean water reserves, contamination of soil, and the destruction of other natural resources. Concerns regarding the sustainability of the input intensive agriculture system have arisen due to its negative repercussions. Therefore, it is necessary to alter the cropping pattern. Organic farming is a significant practice that aims to reduce the environmental and ecological consequences of sustainable development. The utilization of a greater number of organic materials in agricultural methods might mitigate the detrimental impacts on the environment by preserving its natural cycles during the recovery process. Additionally, organic farming has the potential to boost food quality. Organic farming predominantly avoids the utilization of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, growth hormones, and feed additives in animal operations. The integration of organic farming with innovative technologies is crucial for mitigating the constraints and difficulties associated with organic farming. The primary objective of this study is to shed light on the part that organic farming plays in the process of maintaining sustainability. After reviewing a number of research papers that were published in a variety of publications on the topics of sustainability, organic farming, and sustainable agriculture, it was found that farmers ought to be encouraged to adopt organic farming because organic farming is both sustainable and productive. Many farmers are able to improve their agricultural output and quality of life in a manner that is more environmentally friendly as a result of the innovative technologies and new approaches that are making new trends towards a sustainable farming system. Occupationally, contents of courses offered in this field and similar other are supposed to be industry-derived and society needs-compliant. This has for some time, not been seen to be so, and has therefore, created some input-output deficits that have not only affected students’ performance and society benefits, but have significantly affected students’ enrolments into the programmes negatively. Two research questions and two research hypotheses were raised to guide this study. Survey design using structured research instruments were developed by the researchers on collaboration between academic institutions and industries. Population of this study will be 50 Lecturers in Mechanical and Automobile Technology drawn from Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education in the Southwest, Nigeria, alongside 42 industry practicing experts in the same fields were involved in this study. Research questions were answered with Mean and Standard Deviation while t-test was used for the hypotheses. Some parents, because of their over religiosity in the church have neglected their wards. Also, the negative attitudes of parents in terms of their social interactions and economic dispositions towards the wellbeing of their Adolescents have also exposed their Adolescents to series of maladaptive behaviors. Therefore, the specific objective of this study is to harmonize the variables (Religion and Socio-Economic status) and examine the influence each of these variables has on the wholistic Development of Adolescents through variables such as intellectual, moral, physical, social, emotional and spiritual in Oyo Town. A descriptive research method was applied in conducting this research. The population of the study was the entire Christian parents and Adolescents in Oyo town. The sample of the study consisted of one hundred and twenty-nine (129) parents as well as one hundred and twenty-nine (129) Adolescents across different churches (denominations) in Oyo town. Five (5) research questions were raised to guide the study. A researcher designed questionnaire was used. The statistical package for the Social Science (SPSS) was used for the ANOVA and simple percentages. The instrument used was a reliable and validated questionnaire that was designed as data gathering instrument. The correlation coefficient ‘r’ of the instrument’s reliability test showed positive score of 0.907. The theoretical frame work used was anchored on Social Cognitive Theory propounded by Albert Bandura. The findings of study revealed that parents went to church with their Adolescents and their religious commitment was very high. The findings on economic status revealed that majority of the parents were civil servants and they sent their Adolescents to the best schools within the town. The sociological findings revealed that the parents were: Sociable, well-informed, cultured, responsible, morally-sound, Godly and contented. Furthermore, at the level of wholistic Development of Adolescents such as intellectual, moral, physical, social, emotional and spiritual in Oyo town, it was established that the Adolescents’ physical development was highly significant. Similarly, the level of intellectual development was very high. The level of moral development was of great importance, while the level of emotional development was not as high as the rest. The level of social development was high while that of spiritual development was highly significant. The last finding revealed that there was a strong positive influence of parental Religio and Socio-economic status on the wholistic Development of Adolescents in Oyo town. It might refer to national borders or divisions within countries or symbolize physical barriers, societal divisions or personal limitations. Metaphorically, borders and boundaries might mean the boundaries based on caste, color, creed or sex or represent expectations and prejudices or search for selfhood and identity. Writers from the marginalized communities take up the themes of construction of identity in their writing. Similarly, African-American writers, while addressing the issues of race, gender and class, illustrate their struggle and experiences. Their own lives serve as an inspiration to write about the trauma of displacement and slavery. The English novel in the 18th and 19th century largely focused on women primarily confined to the roles of wife, mother and homemaker. However, some novelists such as Mary Wollstonecraft and Aphra Behn challenged gender stereotypes and advocated for greater female autonomy and intellectual freedom. Similarly, Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Thomas Hardy, Charlotte Bronte etc. questioned the prevailing attitudes and provided a fresh perspective on gender issues. Whereas Jane Austen celebrates intelligent and strong-willed female characters who resist societal pressures, Gaskell delves into the lives of working-class women and those on the margins of society. Similarly, Hardy chooses the sub-title A Pure Woman for his novel Tess of the D’Urbervilles in order to question the Victorian norms. The study identified effects of child-centered instructional strategies on academic performance of pupils in selected Lower Basic schools in Shomolu LGA of Lagos, Nigeria. This study adopted a descriptive survey research. A sample size of 120 teachers was used. 12 schools were randomly selected; ten teachers from each school. Early childhood teachers in Basic 1-3 were randomly selected for the study. Two research questions in 17 item questionnaires titled ’Effects of Child- Centered Instructional Strategies ‘(ECCIS) was used to elicit information and analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency counts, percentages and mean. The result showed that child-centered strategies such as demonstration, role-playing, and questioning strategies have a significant role on academic performance of pupils in primary schools. It was deduced also that learner–centered strategies encourage active participation of learners. Mainly two stages can be seen in the journey of India’s economic development. The first can be considered as the period from the country’s attainment of independence on August 15, 1947 till the dissolution of the Soviet Union (1991) and the second from 1991 till the present time. The beginning of liberalization initiated in India was a bold decision which was taken in view of the then circumstances. In the National Democratic Alliance government, the then Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee government once again made the entire world aware of India’s military capabilities by conducting nuclear tests (Pokhran-2) for the second time in the year 1998. During the United Progressive Alliance government, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh with great wisdom and tact gave a new direction to India’s relations with America, Russia, China, European Union, ASEAN etc. India’s civil nuclear agreement with America (123) can be considered a historic decision. In the year 2014, the (BJP-NDA) government was formed at the Center under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi with a clear majority. After the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019, Shri Narendra Modi again became the Prime Minister of the country. In the last decade, India has made unprecedented progress in many fields. At present India is the fifth largest economy in the world. The economies of all countries of the world were negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. From the perspective of India as an emerging superpower, its large size, economic strength, military power, human capital and strategic advantages can be considered as its strengths. India is the largest democratic country in the world. India can become a bridge of peace in the present world divided into two opposing camps. India has won the trust of the countries of the world by presenting an example of human service through vaccine diplomacy in the Covid-19 pandemic. India has moved towards continuous progress and self-reliance in the fields of economic, military, food dependence, space, tourism, education, health etc. Positive results of Make-in-India and Bharat Self-reliant campaign are visible. Umejiego","doi":"10.59231/sari7708","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.59231/sari7708","url":null,"abstract":"The study conducted between May and September of 2023 examined entomological and parasitological indicators of malaria parasite transmission in order to identify the predominant mosquito species and establish the malaria endemicity in the vicinity of Imo State Polytechnic Omuma. The Pyrethrum Spray Catch (PSC) was utilized to collect adult mosquitoes. Various mosquito species were gathered, categorized, and recognized. To detect the presence of a malaria parasite in the blood film stained with Giemsa stain, blood samples were taken from the same students whose rooms were utilized for the entomological survey during the parasitological study. Both the T-test and the Chi-square were used to assess the data. In all, 297 mosquitoes were detected in the research region (table 1), of which 230 Culex quinquefasciatus represented (77.4%) and 67 Anopheles gambiae (22.6%). The study was conducted at eight (8) sites. Comparing the results with the Anopheles gambiae recorded from the same site, Table 2b demonstrates that Culex quinquefasciatus had the highest prevalence and was substantially different at p<0.05. According to the results of the parasitological investigation, when 21 (42.0%) of the students residing in the hostel had their malaria parasite infection checked, 18 (85.7%) tested positive and 3 (14.3%) tested negative. When 29 students (58.0%) who were staying in the lodges had their malaria parasite infection checked, 23 (79.3%) of them tested positive, and 6 (20.7%) tested negative. Among the 50 learners randomly selected for parasitological analysis from the study’s school hostels and lodges, there was no significant difference (p>0.05) in the number of students who tested positive. The percentage of mosquito abundance and falciparum malaria presence found in this study are significant for public health.
