This research is descriptive in nature: Direct observations in three areas in Pamekasan Regency with the roaming method or exploring the area of the area. Descriptive qualitative analysis data found that barrier plant species were found in one class, namely: Dicotyledonae and order three, namely: Malvales, Fabaceae, Pedialiaceae, while for horticultural plants there were two classes namely Monocotyledone and dicotyledone and five orders namely Malvales, Arecaceae, Oleaceae, Sapindaceae, and Malphigiales. Kondisi tersebut mendorong penemuan teknik pengendalian hama dan penyakit yang lebih ramah lingkungan seperti penggunaan refugia. Refugia yang sering digunakan adalah Zinnia sp. Namun morfologi Zinnia sp belum banyak diketahui terutama tentang penologi bunga sehingga sulit menentukan waktu penanaman yang tepat agar efektif dalam mengendalikan hama. Hal ini yang menjadi dasar dilakukannya penelitian penggunaan refugia Zinnia sp pada tanaman cabai.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penanaman refugia Zinnia sp sebanyak 20 tanaman di setiap pinggir bedengan. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan mengamati perkembangan bunga Zinnia sp setiap hari serta mengidentifikasi hama dan musuh alami.  Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan diketahui serangga menyukai bunga Zinnia sp pada fase X sampai XII. Hama yang ditemukan pada lahan adalah orong-orong (Gryllotalpa sp.), lalat pengorok daun (Liriomyza sp.), kutu kebul (Aphis craccivora), trips (Thrips spp.), tungau (P. latus), lalat buah (Bactrocera spp.). Musuh alami  yang ditemukan pada lahan adalah Hemiptarsenus varicornis, Eriborus argenteopilosus, Menochilus sexmaculatus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengelompokan dan nilai similaritas kekerabatan fenetik mimi mintuna sebagai upaya pelestarian jenisnya. Karakter morfologi, morfometrik, dan karakter diagnostik merupakan sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sampel mimi mintuna (Carcinoscorpius sp.) diambil dari pantai kawasan Beejay Bakau Resort Probolinggo, serta spesies acuan (Limulus polyphemus, Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda Tachypleus tridentatus, and Tachypleus gigas) dianut dari buku identifikasi Sekiguchi dan Shuster (2009). Hasil penelitian diperoleh 3 kelompok kekerabatan dari yang terdekat hingga terjauh dan 2 kelompok apomorfi serta 4 kelompok automorfi. Sampel dan Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda memiliki kesamaan 100 %, sedangkan Tachypleus gigas dan Tachypleus tridentatus (Apomorfi B) dengan nilai similaritas 75%. Namun lahan pertanian di Indonesia semakin sempit seiring dengan laju pertumbuhan penduduk yang semakin tinggi. Lahan kering (sub optimal) di Indonesia masih banyak yang belum dimanfaatkan, yang sebenarnya bisa dioptimalkan sebagai lahan pertanian. Tanaman pangan yang memiliki tingkat ketahanan lebih tinggi terhadap lahan kering adalah tanaman ubi kayu, sehingga berpotensi untuk ditanam pada lahan kering. Tahap pertama pemuliaan tanaman ubi kayu adalah mengetahui karakterisasi gen pada tanaman tersebut salah satunya yaitu WIN1. Metode pertama yang dilakukan adalah isolasi DNA daun ubi kayu varietas Adira 1 dan Malang 6, kemudian amplifikasi dengan PCR, dan analisis sekuensing. Hasil menunjukkan tanaman ubi kayu Adira 1 memiliki asam amino yang sama dengan kultivar am560-2 yang terdapat pada GenBank, sedangkan pada varietas Malang 6 terdapat satu asam amino yang berbeda. Krisan digunakan sebagai obat herbal karena mengandung senyawa flavonoid dan alkaloid yang digunakan sebagai anti antibakteri, antiinflamasi, antioksidan. Berdasarkan pendekatan anatomi dapat diketahui bahwa tumbuhan mensintesis dan menyimpan senyawa bioaktif melalui sel-sel dan jaringan yang terspesialisasi. Salah satu sel, dan jaringan yang terspesialisasi untuk mensekresi metabolit sekunder adalah trikoma. Trikoma dapat dibagi menjadi trikoma glandular dan non glandular. Trikoma glandular dapat menyimpan dan mensekresi metabolit sekunder pada tumbuhan, sedangkan trikoma non glandular tidak dapat mensekresi metabolit sekunder. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bentuk, dan jenis trikoma pada varietas krisan fiji kuning, fiji putih, jimla kuning, puspita nusantara dan barcadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode leaf clearing pada sepal dan petal bunga krisan, kemudian dilakukan pengamatan dengan optilab. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat lima jenis trikoma glandular dan dua jenis trikoma non glandular. Liquid lipstick used by makeup artists may have a high level of microbial contamination because they are applied to different clients in turn. This study aims to determine the microbiological quality of liquid lipstick used by makeup artists based on the result of the Bacterial Total Plate Count (TPC), Yeast and Mold Count (YMC), and the presence of pathogenic microbes. Three samples of liquid lipstick were taken from three different makeup artists and one sample was a new liquid lipstick product. The Bacterial TPC test was carried out on TSA media and the YMC test was carried out on SDA with the spread plate technique. The presence of microbial pathogens P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, and C. albicans were carried out on selective media. The results of bacterial TPC was 9.0 × 103 to 3.0 × 104 CFU/mL, while the YMC was 1.1 × 103 to 3.1 × 103 CFU/mL. The pathogenic microbes detected were S. aureus in 2 samples and C. albicans in 1 sample. This study aims to determine the types of terrestrial ferns in the Seven Level Waterfall Area. The research was conducted from January to May 2020 in the Seven Waterfall Area at Selamat Village Level, Tenggulun District, Aceh Tamiang Regency using the roaming method. The results showed that in the Seven Level Waterfall Area there were as many as 20 species, from 3 nations, 9 tribes, 17 genera of ferns and lived terrestrial, namely Dicranopteris linearis (Burm. Monitoring is carried out using the method of collecting signs of animal presence and installing camera traps. Photos / videos caught on camera traps are counted on the encounter rate. The monitoring results obtained 97 videos which were divided into 6 videos of P.p. melas, 15 videos of wild boar (Sus scrofa), 1 video of mouse deer (Tragulus javanicus), 2 videos of mountain squirrels (Tupaia montana), 1 video of mice (Apodemus sp.) 20 videos of human activities, and 47 videos of non detection. The result of the Encounter Rate calculation shows the result of P.p. melas 4.44 / 100 days; wild boar 11.85 / 100 days; Squirrels 1.48 / 100 days; rats and mouse deer 0.74 / 100 days, respectively. Staphylococcus aureus is a pathogenic bacteria causing several infection  diseases. The purpose of this study was to identify the active compounds group that have antibacterial against and determine the optimum  concentration which was able to inhibit S.aureus ATCC 25923 activity in tobacco leaf extract. The assay of inhibitory activity of tobacco leaf extract was carried out qualitatively using diffusion disc method at various concentration of tobacco leaf extract; 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100%. Gradual maceration (M2) and total maceration were used to perform the extraction process, using methanol 70% and etanol 96% as the solvent. Thin Layer Chromatografi (TLC) assay were carried out to identify the bioactive compounds. The results showed that the methanol (M2) and etanol (E) extract of tobacco leaf had antibacterial avtivity against S.aureus. Their bactericidal activity (inner diameter of inhibition) was 12,5 mm, and bacteriostatic (outer diameter inhibition) was 20 mm. The optimum concentration of antibacterial methanol extract was 50%, and the optimum concentration of antibacterial etanol extract was 60%. Some fungi have the Lignase enzyme, which can degrade Lignin (one of the main organic waste constituents) into simple sugars. The diversity and potential of organic waste degrading fungi still need much research to obtain potential types of fungi that can be developed in organic waste management. This study aimed to determine the diversity and potential of lignolytic fungi in the biodegradation of organic waste. The research was conducted using a descriptive method to take leaf and soil litter samples, isolate and purify fungi, and test lignolytic potential. Based on the isolation results from leaf litter samples, 16 types of fungal isolates were obtained. The lignolytic potential test was carried out using the Bavendamm method. In screening for potential lignolytic ability using the bavendamm method, 7 isolates were found to be positive. The highest lignolytic activity ratio was SR4BD isolate with a ratio value of 1.9.
